Tests?

Post by Katy91 »

I am 8 w 3 days with a singleton and have just been released to my own doctor from the fertility clinic.

I haven't had an appointment with my OB yet, but I'm confused about all the information I'm getting from different places. When do they do the testing that detects possible neural tube defects or Down's?

Congrats on being pg! I hope you have a great pregnancy!

I think what you are talking about is the nuchal test and it's typically done between 11 and 13 weeks. There are other tests that test for similiar things but that's what I know.

Take care and best wishes~

Thanks so much for the reply - I think that is the one I mean! Now that I'm passed the "Will I get preg" stage, I'm in the "Is it ok stage". I guess we all feel like that, right? And it's good practice for all the worry to come!

All the best to you!
