sonya - i think each clinic does thinhgs so differently!!! mine tell you when to do your HPT and if what ever the out come to ring and let them know(for stat reasons) if it +ve then your booked in for a scan at aroud yor 7 week point, mine is later as i cant get off work until the 8th May.
so no betas or any sort of preg test from my clinic. which is probably why i just cant settle, after ready about beta number i want to know mine so i will be doing a blood test in work on monday, i think i have stressed my DH out totaly as took another test this morning before work just to make sure i was still pg. and thank god it was still +ve and the line appeard straight away and was really really dark (think im turning into some sort of mad woman)
mama - honey, i have reserched for the past few days about beta number, spoke to a few consultants in work and they all statE that each and every one of is different, as long as the numbers are going up then there is no need to worry. your number sound brill to me. as for symptoms and feeling pg, i have none and dont feel any different to normal, i have sore boobs on and off but thats it, again i spoke to my SIL's and they said they had no sypmtoms what so ever, so again darling i think its really down to the individual. you are going to have a baby honey, please try and relax (wish i could take my own advice) it will all be fine. before we know it, it will be xmas and lots of sleepless nights for all of us. i cant wait!!!!!!

Well ladies today is the first day I've been up and around, our ET was to be on 04/17 however that was canceled due to OHSS. I had to freeze my little embries 
I had most of the fluid drained on 04/18, they removed 3 liters & I was told I only had a light case of OHSS. I was so uncomfortable I couldn't stand it. None of my clothes fit, does anyone know if or how long it usually takes for the swelling to go down? Well I hope all of you ladies are moving right along with your cycles and wish you nothing but the best, as for me I'm off to rest a little more...

Kia- DO you work at a hospital also? Be Careful with that beta number, It’s probably a good thing they are not telling you everyday, but I also understand after hearing all about it on the chat board im sure your dying to know what yours is, so I know I would be doing the same thing, but don’t read into it too much, Im keeping my fingers crossed for you and hoping it will be SO SO high!!! I have another one Monday morning also so hopefully you can post your results right away and I will be posting mine also, looks like we will be having our babies right around the same time, do you have your due date as Dec 17th? Im glad you don’t feel pregnant that’s a good sign for us both I hope, Im sure many people feel different things and I do talk to friends who are pregnant or just had a baby and they say they didn’t know or feel anything until 8 to 9 weeks so hopefully we just havnt felt anything yet but of course are very much pregnant!!! So we need to really just relax now for our babies!!!!
Also about being brain dead!!! I feel that too, at work I have been completely lost at a job that I have been doing for the past 5 years, Im crazy and I do the silliest things and I didn’t know where it was coming from until a friend who is pregnant heard me in the copy room and was like what are u doing I didn’t know what I was doing and she said its cause your pregnant!!! SO I guess that comes with it!!- Then I do different things for patients at the hospital who are going home and one lady needed a few things and I thought one of them was a walker, well I get up to her room to take her a walker and NO she doesn’t need one her last name is walker haha it was too much!!!
Melly- So glad to hear your doing better, I know its hard to sit in bed day after day but honestly right now you have to I did not have OHSS but I had a ton of swelling and the more I laid around the better I felt try to go out to dinner or something small and then come back home and get in bed but other then that don’t do too much, when I was doing all the resting I went to dinner with my sis and it was nice because I was so huge I got to pretend I was pregnant it felt good! =) Anyway my swelling took at least a week to go down so be patient it will take some time but surprisingly it all went away!!! Good luck

Mama,I spoke to my consultant on Friday who said that they are actually looking for doubliing every 48 - 72 hours which means that anything more than 66% increase in 48 hours is fine. I had another blood today which was 1046 (up from 387 on Friday) this is not quite doubling but they say is fine and I (very illogically!) feel that somehow getting over 1000 is a benchmark! The consultant also said that as my number started off rising so quickly initially (at 12DPEC) its possible that we did have 2 but one is tailing off which would explain the slow down in the rate of increase.
My due date (very excited to have a due date!!) is the 26th Dec - boxing day! And my scan is on the 4th May, I'll only be 6 wks and 2 days then so am hoping that we will be able to see a heart beat. Is anyone else having a scan on the 4th?

Well ladies
We went to the hospital and it's official I'm
. It's so crazy getting it confirmed even though we've known for a week. They wouldn't even do a Qaunt beta, she asked what we need one of those for? Bitchy cow, she said we only do then if women are having an ectopic. I wasn't going to ruin my day, because I asked about having my Progesterone done as I have low Prog, and she just said go down to 200 Prog now and not the 800, but I'm not even going to do that. I'll speak to my normal doc and get her to do a Prog test, and I'll stay on the higher dose Pg, until I'm near 12 weeks and go down to 600 and then 400 and then the 200. I don't intend to loose this baby or babies because of her incompitence. And she wouldn't even talk about all that when I was asking her.
The nurse just gave us the info post IVF sheets, and I'm having a 6wk scan on May 8th, when the gestation is 6wks then, and then it's rutine to have an 8wk scan as well
.
Anyway, acpart from crazy nurses, my parents are over at the moment yay, and I made them a card this morning, and wrapped up some bibs and the Clearblue digital HPT.
I told dad to unwrap the parcel, and he took out the bibs, and he said what's this for, so I laughed and said well you are eating here today. So we all laughed and he opened the card and his face just lit up and he couldn't stop giggling. Then he passed the bibs to my mom and looked in the parcel and saw the hpt, and mom read the card. He was smiling so much, and I thought it only fare he opened it as he found out today that his Uncle has bowel cancer
, and there's been another death in the family. So then steve took his juumper off showing his this top underneath, and I took my jacket off showing mine, so today just made dad's day.

So, Saturday morning we trekked into the hospital and had the transfer done - lucky for us, all three eggs fertilized into nice embryos. We had one transferred as it is the policy of our clinic to transfer only one in women under 35.
So, since then I have carried on as usual. I didn't see the point of wrapping myself in cotton wool, but I did not do too much. DH had a mountain bike race on the same day so I went along and sat outside all wrapped up and watched. It was great. It took Monday off as I had some time owing and had a very lazy day.
So, today back at work. Not feeling any different - mind you it has only been 72 hours.
When did everyone else begin to notice symptoms? I noticed it was tight for a bit in my stomach this morning - only a few minutes and it was just below and to the right of my belly button. Other than that I feel completely normal - hope this is okay.
Hope everyone else is doing great - congrats Marcia, now that it is official and great photos!

Fijibabe- Congrats on your transfer, you won't feel anything this soon so dont worry about that, I thought I would feel things right away and here I am 6weeks and still not feeling too much so don't expect anything too soon!! Good Luck!!
As for me I feel like it's good news then bad good news then bad, My HCG came back today at 3778 but I guess that is not good enough, which is weird all weekend I've had some weird symptoms I've had a hard time eating things I normally like, my breast are swollen and sore, I really though things were going good but I called today and they said Im REALLY in the grey area and that they are praying hard for me so once again I am feeling really down about this, Im stuck at work but just wanting to go home and go to bed!!!!

Just wanted to say I'm so sorry for this roller coaster you are going through. When are you going to have your first scan? That would help calm your nerves. I had my first at six weeks so maybe you can ask to have one soon. I'm sure you're sick of the blood tests and just want to see your little one already. I'm praying that everything is ok for you.

pep23- I do have my scan this week on Thursday which is also my birthday so Im really hoping for some good news, and I would love to see a little heart beat maybe even two!!
