hello everybody
Doing my second icsi in the month of may. starting th medicatins in the month of may. Have alrady taken decapen injection. Last time it was a poor response and i hope that this time they will increase the dosage. It is really difficult to go through the same thing again. I do hop it works for all of us. bye

Hi Everybody! I hope everyone is doing ok. I start my stims today and am very excited to be on this rollercoaster once more. My first scan will be on Monday 4/23. I am really hoping that the cyst they found on the baseline u/s last week doesn't interfere with this cycle. If all goes well my retrieval should be April 30th. Have a great day!

My clinic is $8,355 for IVF/ICSI and the cost of drugs is on top of that. We all know how much that can end up costing. Then if they freeze some embies that's another $800. For me and my husband we drive 3 hours to our clinic so we have to add in the expense of gas, hotel, and eating out. It adds up real quick. To so an FET it around $2,000.

Tanu- are you ready for your transfer? Do you know when it is for sure? All it takes is one sticky one

Geckogirl- Good luck with the stims, I'm on day 4 of my stims so your not far behind me!!

Vlada- Do you know when your ET is yet?

hi everybody,
today i got call from my RE all 6 eggs fertilised. so now i hope to transfer atleast 2. my DH wants to transfer only one because he is scared of twins ,but i definately want to transfer 2 alteast,because twins are good rather tha BFN. My RE said will get back to me on the progress of embies on sat which is the 3rd day. he may recommend on 5th day which is monday,but i would prefer for 3rd day. Well i won't hear from him before saturday.Though my insurance covers the medications and retrieval and transfer part,but i have to pay for freezing of embryos which is$1200.00 because is not covered by them. but still its worth it. Because last time when my fresh cycle didn;t work. that time also i did pay for freezing part. since FET worked for me that time. so i am definately going to go ahead as far as freezing part is concerned.
Vlada: How close are you to retrieval?
Jenjen220: when is your next u/s scheduled ?

That's great that 6 fertilized!! Now they can just grow into perfect little embies. I agree with you on transfering 2. Twins are definatley better than a BFN. If they transfer 2, what do they say your chances are for twins? I think my clinic says 50%. Also, why do you prefer a 3 day transfer over a 5 day? Which is better, I'm in the dark on this.

i didn't ask my clinic abt how much chances are for twins.but i think transferring 2 embies is still better than one. From my personal experience i am saying that .During my ist ivf i did get 3 embies transferred and i didn;t get pregnant.but during my FET after transfering 3 embies again i got pregnant with my daughter.I personally don't want twins ,since i already have one,but once again twins is better than BFN.
Regarding 3 day transfer-- once again from my personal experience. Since i did get pregnant during FET with 3 day transfer.And even i have heard that 5 day blast not necessary all embies survive till that stage,but if they do then there are more chances of getting BFP.But my RE has told me he will contact me only on saturday and saturday being 3day and i am sure he will go for 5 day blast.whatever it is just hoping for good results for all of us.

Hello,
My ER is Monday the 23rd at 9am and I don't know about the trasfer, it will all depend on how the embies will grow, probably apr 25th or 26th i guess. So far my follies are 14 and 15mm in size.

Hello,
So far i have about 20 folllies and my doc told me today that i will be quite sore after the retrieval becauses I have so many, and I was on the lowest low dosage of the drugs! Oh well....

hi everyone nice to see everyone is progressing nicley well my appointment has been changed to Thurs instead of mon so an only an extrea few days to go.
Ive had a rough week, had really bad stomach pains all week went to docs this morn ive got a water infection so on antibiotics for three days spent all day on couch with dova tablets easing pain but when one wears off the pain is coming back although doc did say i wont feel a hundred percent till after 24hrs. Does anyone Know if this will affect me starting IVF next week the fact ive been on ANTIBIOTICS ?

Mom - My husband and I have been on antibiotics as part of out IVF cycle. I don't know what your protocol is but it is standard for our clinic. I don't think being on antibiotics prior to treatment will be a problem at all. I hope you feel better soon!

I have been on stims for only two days now and the ovary that had a cyst on it (the one the doctor said would be fine) is really hurting. I have my first scan on Monday and am afraid that this cycle will be cancelled. I don't remember feeling any pain during my last IVF cycle until day 7 or so. Sigh.....I am beginning to feel like this whole thing is hopeless.

Geckogirl I do hope things work out for you and the pain subsides.

Mom as I said in the other thread I hope you feel better soon.Our clinic also puts us on antibiotics so I don't see why that would be a problem.

Sorry I am trying to catch up on the threads after loverly hospital stay.
I am hoping that maybe now that they have taken my gallbladder my body will be in better shape. Well better condition.
I was more worried about my cycle after Nurse that did scan on Weds. said if I had surgery they would cancel my cycle.. Of course that night I ended up finding out I needed emergency surgery....the next morning (Thurs) before they took me off to surgery I had to call DR and ask about my cycle.
I think that was the hardest call I have had to make.. Thank God DR is sweet and said with 2 and a half weeks before retrieval and transfer he thinks that my body would be healed enough to go thru with this cycle as planned WOO HOO!!!! God I love that man ha ha. Sheww.

I will try to catch up and be back on top of posts soon. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend

thanks everyone just wanted to makeshure i suppose its a good thing in a way as any infections will be fought off before we get started anyway feel a bit better today but still got really bad back ache and i feel very tired n worn out never mind hope everyone is ok

I may have ET on monday or tuesday, but as per advise of ivfmomof1 i am going to ask my RE if he can do it on monday rather than waiting till tuesday.
