Just had my Egg Retrieval- have some questions

Hi there, just had my egg retrieval on Sunday and they retreived 28 follicles. Just got the call a little while ago that of the 28, 22 were mature and 16 were fertilized. What does this all mean. The 16 that are fertilized- is it possible that some of them will not be good embryos by the day of transfer? I will find out tomorrow when my transfer is? Any help on this would be great. Thanks

That is a good number. It is possible that by your transfer date some will not make it to blastocyst stage. I would not worry about it because you have so many that is good.
