Lupron

Post by Cori »

Hi evereybody.
I have started my first IVF cycle and am on my 8th day of Lupron. When on avaerage do most people start their periods? I am worried that something is wrong because I haven't gotten my period. My clinic is not opened on the wekends and if I get it any later than tomorrow, I won't be able to go in for my day 3 ultrasound or be able to start my stims. What will they do then?

My period started 9 days after I started Lupron. It was about 2 days after I stopped bc pills.

I was told not to expect one at all. I have been on lupron for a couple of weeks now. My RE has me on a full lupron shut down, so i will be on it for a few more weeks. I think it all depends on when they start you on the lupron and what the dose is. I do not think it is a bad thing if your af doesn't start.
I hope this helps.

Hi,

on my first cycle i did not get my period until 13 days after starting down regulation meds, and i know of others who did not have a period at all. Your clinic should check your lining is thin before you start stimulating meds anyway, so try not to worry, try doing alittle bit of exercise and i find that sometimes helps to bring your period on.

good luck
Kerry x :)

Thanks everybody for your input. I did finally get my period 2 days ago and went in for my baseline ultrasound.
Good luck to everybody!
