Frozen Embryo Transfer

Post by ls4 »

 Has anyone out there ever had an embryo transfer with Frozen Embryos and was it successful. I go in for my transfer tomorrow and I just want to know if there is a chance. I know mine is slim because I only have 2 Frozen. I will probably be told they didn't thaw right. I am so depressed and this is my last shot. Im almost out of funds for this.

I haven't done FET but wanted to send you some good positive vibes! From the research I've done on the www, there are plenty of people that it works for...why shouldn't you be one, right?

good luck!

Hello

I got a BFN on my first fresh IVF. I had three frozen blastocysts and did FET a couple of months after my fresh cycle. On thaw day one of my blasts did not survive so they thawed another. I had that transferred and am now almost 13 weeks pregnant. Best of luck to you I hope it works for you, it does for many many ladies.

:( I am so worried. I had the transfer Tuesday, I am on estrogen twice
a day and have to do the progestergine shots. I have cramps. During my last IVF I did to and it didn't work. I hope this isnt a sign does anyone know of anyone who had cramps and still tested possitive with a pregnancy. They are not severe. Help! I want to stay possitive. I just panic with every little twinge.

Lisa, try not to stress  The progesterone causes the cramps. I take the shots too and I think they are worse for cramps than the other progesterone methods. I've had one fresh IVF cycle and two FETs (Fresh IVF = son in 2002, failed FET in Feb and now BFP from FET in April). With all 3 I had cramps and strange twinges of pain in my belly and ovaries. Do you have any other symptoms? Most women don't, but I knew I was pregnant a week after the transfer. Are you considering taking an HPT?

No other symptoms I know of. I always think negative lately. So when I think maybe I come up with a reason not. lately I have been eating a lot more ,but It started the day of the transfer. How soon can you take a HPT. Its only been five days since the transfer. Thank You so much!

I did the HPT one week after my transfer. I transferred two 5 day blasts, so if you did a 3 day transfer, it might not show yet. Regardless, if you take the HPT you have to go in knowing that it might be too early. I psyched myself up by knowing that if the hpt was negative I might still be pregnant, and if it's positive, I would know for sure that I was. There are no meds with a frozen cycle to cause a false positive. Good Luck!
