Did anyone have urine infections after ET. please advise.

Hi everybody,
I had my transfer yesterday. But since today i am having lot of burning sensation down, i am guessing it to be urine infection. i had same symptons 2years back, after that i had no infections at all. I am really worried if this will interupt with my implantation i hope not. Any suggestions. My RE recommended me to get urine analysis done at my ob/gy. But i want to wait till my 10 days are over . What should i do? any suggestions.

Go to your dr asap. UTIs can spread and infect your kidneys, and that really hurts. I have had a ton of UTIs, and when I was pregnant with my daughter I had them all the time. They cause contractions and if when your baby implants it can cause a miscarriage. They can give you antibiotics that are safe during pregnancy and they will not hurt implantation. I do think an UTI can mess up implantation as well. I am not too sure though. Just do not wait to see your dr as it is an infection.

tanu - did your clinic put you on some sort of antibiotic prior to your transfer to prevent infections? I had to take Doxycycline for 5 days prior to my transfer to avoid an infection. If not, I'd see a doctor - don't want to risk any complications. Good luck!
