When could you find out your baby's sex???

HI,

I am going in for a level 2 ultrasound on May 8th which I will be 16 weeks and 5 days. I am hoping to be able to find out the babies sex but I am not sure if that is too early. I can not remember how far along I was when I found out with my son. So I was hoping that you all would share with me when you were able to find out!

Congratulations on your pregnancy and two there too!

You should be able to see the babies' sex providing they are laying in the right position. As you are having twins you should be offered frequent scans later on when you can confirm the sex everytime you go!

Hi,
I found out at 17 weeks that I am having a girl from a level 1 ultrasound, and I have had several ultrasounds since that confirm it. I think it is even easier to tell with boys, so you shouldn't have trouble with a level 2 ultrasound if your baby is willing to participate. My midwife told me they can sometimes tell as early as 13 weeks, depending on the baby and/or the ultrasound machine.
