Rady- I am taking 300iu of Gonal-F in the morning and 150 iu of Repronex in the evening. They give me such high doses because of my age (the dreaded over 40 thing) and because I am a little overweight. When I had my u/s yesterday the doctor said to stay on the same dose and we will see what happens with tomorrow's u/s. Last cycle I stayed on the same dosage throughout the whole cycle. I think as long as you are responding, they don't want to change anything. I guess they want the follies to grow at an even pace. Good luck with your u/s and keep us posted!

Mom20 - GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!!!! I hope you respond well to the stims and that you have no nasty side effects. Keep us posted on your progress.

I had my second u/s today and all is good. I have 7 follies around 8-9 mm and the rest are not far behind. I am hoping a few more catch up over the next few days. I have another u/s on Friday. I think this cycle the follies are growing a little slower than last time but there are more this time. I guess time will tell.

Wishing everyone luck!

Mom20,

Good Luck for your stims...

I went for my second u/s today and it looks like the number of follies increased to 17 and they are in between 9 to 11 in size...my doc said we might have the ER on Monday but it will be confirmed only on my next u/s on this friday...just praying that things shld go as planned.

I am getting in late -- didn't know the thread for this time of year started back in Feb! Anyway I'm 42, Stage IV endo, no tubes, only one ovary, and we're getting into the stims for the first flare cycle we've been able to pursue (we started one a couple of months ago but had to stop it due to other health issues). On Follistim 450, Menopur 150, 5 units Lupron for a flare cycle, supposed to go in Fri to see if anything's going on.

But I'm not sure, as the pharmacist just informed me on the phone that the Lupron was expired (no one at the clinic told me that I should order new, and they knew that we had the same drugs from 3 months ago...grr...) whether the whole thing is going to work or not. New Lupron arriving tomorrow but for tonight it's the old stuff, I guess...don't really know whether to use it or not. And here I was thinking, "Gosh, this is great...two days in and no horrible mood swings from the Lupron!"

Anyone else fall asleep like an hour after doing the injections? I can't keep my eyes open!

Anyway good luck to everyone, you do feel quite isolated as even the patients in the clinic waiting room -- if you see one -- never speak or make eye contact with each other!

well ladies bad news for me my apointment was cancelled this morn as doc got called out to an emergency. Got to wait for another appointment to be sent out which may not be until june. Im really disappointed as weve waited all this time since December and to get to hospital and to be told its cancelled. I dont know if i can wait any longer we are back in limbo again until we get our next appointment. They said they will get them out as soon as possible so it could be in the next couple of days fingers crossed

hope your all well

Well girls, I'm home!! My clinic is 3 hours away so I just stayed at a hotel whle I was being monitored everyday instead of driving 6 hours round trip. Anyway, I'm way disppointed because they ended up cancleing my cycle because of the OHSS. Each morning I went to an apt. it seemed like the # of follies kept going up. They said that there were so many that they couldn't accurately count them, but they guess there was around 45 or 50!!!!! Only about 8 were big enough to do anything with. My E2 level yesterday was 5600. They just felt like if they did the retrieval it would get worse and would be really bad if they went through with the transfer.
This happened back in 05' but they went ahead with the ER and froze all the embies. But they said it was much worse this time. I really feel fine though which is good.
So we have to wait 3 months and they'll mess with my meds and try again. I was only on 150iu of Gonal and 3 days of Repronex!!
What a waste of time, money, effort, and of course emotions. Oh well what can you do.
It's nice to be back home and se everyone progressing well.

We are trafering two embies today, one is 5 cell and the other is 7 cell and both have a little bit of fragmentation, but these are be best we have, they rated as B quality embies.
