Crikey I have missed a lot!! This dodgy internet connection has a lot to answer for! Thankyou all for your concern and Nicki thanks for the poll! Funny cos dh and I think it might be a boy! Don't know why we think that tho.
I have spent the last 45 mins just catching up! Just had to go and make myself a cup of tea as I gethered I could be here a while!

JEN £7000 is better thatn 70,000 but still hefty! It does make you angry that you have to fork all that out doesn't it? Spain sounds lie a really well thought out option, one I'm sure you won't regret. I have read a lot of stores of people going to Spain and with good reviews/successes! So will that be July? I also so admire you hun - you take your MS in your stride and don't let it hold you back. You will be a wonderful mum and your MS will not take that away from you. So what if you need a bit of help? Everyoe needs help with their children whether it be a child minder, parents, nursery. I think its good for them to be familiar with others too, makes them more grounded as they grow up. I laways wondered how far away you are from me - now I know - 3 hours!

NICKI glad you are sounding like the good old you again! Are you back to work next week or still off? Enjoy your drinks at the pub, you'll prob only need one to get you tipsy!

LUCY good to have you back and raring to go on this cycle. How are you feeling this weekend? With regards to the job - could you ask for the interview to be brought forward. I would have thought they either absolutley have to do that or postpone it til is convenient for you. Good luck with that xxx

JULIE - how's our 2ww-er? I've pm'd you now x How's the Cold Feet comin a long? Are you managing to stay sane?> Is it harder or easier than you thought? Its so difficult to predict how you will feel until you are actually in the 2 ww. Hugs xxx

SOURIS - how are things going with your tmt? Glad to be back in France? Is your dh with you or didi he have to stay in Dubai to work? I think Souris is such a lovely name for mouse - it sounds so sweet!

KATE - glad the tournament went well. You must be counting the days til the summer hols or does that still seem a log way off?

GAIL - can't believe Katie is one month old. How did that happen so quickly?! How are the sleepless nights going? Bet you can't wait to go on hls - that will be so special. How do I access phot bucket to see your gorgeous Katie?

MLG - hi to you and Margarida x

I am keeping really well. Still tired especially and if work is hectic which it has been recently, I am so tired by the evenings I can barely do more than make the dinner! My bump is slowly growing, have put on 11lbs and have not felt any kicks yet so can't wait for that to start happening!

After speaking to the midwife I know there is no way she will make an exception for me to have a 20 week scan. Its not funded and she said lots of women feel aggreaved by this and so go for private scans. She says she doesn't really believe there is a need for them either if everything is going well, its only really reassurance for the mother! So I think we will just have to bite the bullet and pay for one. A 2D scan (the ones you get on the nhs) are £120 and the 3/4 D ones that are in colour and very clear are £195. Not sure if I can justify £200 when I am trying to save so might just opt for the 2D. Need to speak to dh about it.

What is everyone doing this weekend? I was at a jewellery party last night. I bought a gorgeous sterling silver and moonstone ring for my friends birthday. She has been a rock to me all throught the last 2 years so I felt she deserved something special. I also got stud moonstone earrings for my mum but nothing for me  so I think I might just have to head to the shops today! Dh and I are on hols now until Tues 8th May - yepee! Planning on going swimming and for walks, have phsio appt (back sore since BFP), seeing the new Spiderman movie, visiting family and going out for dinner with friends in Glasgow next Friday night. Think thats it!

Hi Girlies,

Just a quickie as DH is doing a BBQ and its nearly ready!! In answer to your question Nickie I also teach Geography (not through choice I might add!) and no I am not really fit! I just tell the kids what to do and occassionally do a dodgy demonstration!! At the moment I'm not even doing that as I have a trainee teacher in taking all my classes!!(the advantages of being head of dept!!). Great news that we will be cycle buddies again, we might be the last phoenix's to get BFP's but they say save the best unitl last!!!! :D

Julie - hope the 2WW isn't going too badly and that you aren't stressing too much! Bring on that BFP girl!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and enjoying the lovely weekend weather? Will post more on Monday.

Hi girls!!

I am totally confused!!

I seem to be bleeding 12 days after my last bleed. I am sure it's just coz my body is confused afte this failed IVF.
But can someone just add their thoughts on it??
I am confused!

I had the bleed, 6 days after the day EC should have been, and was still on synerol, the clinic said that bleed was because the progestone wasnt there to support the endo, and that's ok to bleed at the time, but it wasnt actually a period. and the next period could come any time???

So in 12 days could i really have build up, that much lining naturally to be shred???

So now do i count this as DAY one, again??

Oh an can i add, that ive just woken up, and its only a light smudging!! so not a real bleed, but heck i'm sure i'm about to full bleed, and typical. clinic already told me this i going to be a monster period with lots of pain, and im due to start work tomorrow, shit!!! thats all i need huh???

Arghhhhh!!!

Is this true? is the 1st period after failed IVF heavier and more painful??

We are off now to the coast, its a lush day!!!

I'll pop back on this evening, and check also do personals!!!

Have a lovely day every1.

Hi Girls

Lisa - Lisa great to have you back with us. At what stage do you start to feel baby kick, is it about 20 weeks.? Are you going to find out if you are having a boy or girl.? I think its time for a Pheonixe BOY.. Have you thought of any names yet.? I thought everyone got s scan at 20 weeks, I thought it was 12 wk, then 20 wk then you don't have another. I think I'd def op to have a private one. The 3d images are amazing, my friend has just had a baby boy (weighing 9lb 8, may I add) and the scan pictures she had done were brilliant. She has had one framed and it looks really good.!!! Hope you had a lovely day yesterday, enjoy today and take care hun.

Jen - I aren't really setting myself up for any amount of follies because I don't want to be disappointed, last time at this stage I only had 4 follies, only had 5 in the end and they collected 4 eggs. So if I've got 4 tomorrow I'll be happy. Just need them to collect 2 brilliant eggs and hope they both fertilize. Hope you've had a lovely weekend hun.?

Nicki hun, when I had my 1st period after my failed IVF, it was a bit more heavier and I did have some mild cramping more than usual but it wasn't that bad.... my 1st period after my m/c though was horrendous.! This IVF does mess your body up a bit, and people's body's react differently. I know one girl on here who didn't have a period for nearly 2 months after her failed IVF then when it came she said it was horrible, a lot of pain much heavier.! I'm really not sure if you should class this as day 1 or not. Sorry Hun. Hope the girls can give you some better advice.

Hi to everyone else.

Feeling a bit crap on the stims again, yesterday my head hurt all day and night.. also this morning I was late taking them by about 2 hrs do you think it matters that much.? I've always been told by my clinic take them exact 24hrs apart.! Can't see 2hrs mattering that much.?????????

Have a lovely day everyone

Nicki have a nice at coast.!

Hi All on another sunny day!!! :D 8) :D 8)

Lucy - Best of luck tomorrow....cant wait to hear how you get on. Hope you get 4...at least. Not sure about the stimms. They clinic never stressed to me to take them 24 hours apart. I always took mine between 6 and 7 depending on when finished work and got home...sure you will be fine! Hope the headaches ease x

Nikki - Ooooh, sorry about the bleed. Always bad timing! Has it got any worse or was it just a mild show? Are you back at work tomorrow for def? Hope it isnt too bad for you if it is the evil AF. On the plus it will help you to repair quicker  Did you go out last night, hope you did and you got drunk and had a ball x

Kate - Hope you enjoyed the BBQ. I love having them because I don't need to cook!!! We are going to my sis-in-laws this afternoon to be waited on. I have to say I am absolutely rubbish with any form of exercise! I have no co-ordination, balance or motivation to be honest. Never been sporty, apart from swimming and while I like it I am not much good at that either!! Born to be a spectator.....

Jen - Hope you are well and enjoyed the beach. How is Broc coming along? Bet he is huge now. I love beaches. When we go to Wales we are 5 min walk from a beach and it is great (when it isn't raining of course!). Always wondered tho whether if you lived there you would take it for granted so to speak and not go that much...Going again today? Weather is glorious! As for the Cold Feet vids I am half way through series 3 where Adam and Rach are having IVF so was a bit teary yesterday. Not sure why I am watching it to be honest, as much as I love it I am DREADING the end of series 5!!!! Too tragic..

Lis - Did you go out and manage to treat yourself? Always find that, buy for everybody else and nothing left for me! Hope you have a fab week off. Looks like you have picked a good one...hope the weather stays nice for ya. It is a shame about the scan. I too thought it was standard at 12 and 20. Does the 3/4 D ones give you any more info/more indepth? I have seen one, they are amazing. Hope you feel our Phoenix boy kick real soon. x

Souris - How are you doing? Hope the weather is good there too. Sure it is! Hows the injections coming along? Hope you are feeling fine. Any idea on dates yet/appts? Hope you feel well and enjoy your time with your family and are not too lonely when on your own

Gail/MLG - Hope our new mums are doing great and our Phoenix Girls thriving.

As for me, I am fine. I have to say while each day seems to drag the week has flown by!! Just hope the next 12 days do!!! I am going to get out and about next week and see friends. So far so good and it isn't as bad as I thought it might be, well, not yet anyway!! DH has been a star (with a few little pushes and reminders). He works crappy hours and is working today but will be doing the washing, ironing and cleaning the bathroom when he gets in....(Love It! hee hee). Now I know what he is actually capable of he is in real trouble in the future.....

Anyway, have a fab weekend all xxxx

LOVING this weather... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Nicki- Hows your smudging? is it any heavier? The meds always F up your body ...1st ivf it took me 8wks until i had AF bleed (from hell). 2nd time it was after day 10 of 2ww and lasted for 10days...and each subsiquent AF was not the usual 28 days apart either. It took my body 6 months to regulate to a normal pattern. But that was me and you'll be different...Hope you can let go of the stress of it and see it as your bod just regulating. It is a nightmare not knowing how your bod will react each month or in your case EACH week. Hope you regulate quickly.
Don't know whats worse... waiting on AF or getting it too often...why do we all especially me stress so much about her??????
Big hugs to ya honey and i hope you have another week off before returning to work!!! enjoy the weather and getting yourself stronger. I seem to remember that you did too much in the garden not too long ago!!! look after yourself x x x x x

Julie- I know what you mean that last episode does hit the sobbing grief button really hard!!!! I howl every time i see it!!! 12 days to go honey...you sound like youo are coping okay. I always fouond the 2nd week the worst but each day without AF is a good sign. Enjoy your sis-in-laws this afternoon. we are meeting a friend from Canada who is over for a conference this afternoon, so no beach today. Adam is working also today as problems at the factory. Hope he is back in time soon! Does your SIL know about your 2ww?
Broc is now 7mths old and although giant ( he's bigger than a labrador. dalmation or wiemanarer) he is such a big softy. Although when he sees another dog across the street he can just about pull my arm out of my socket!!!! He is lovely to have around . He loves the kids that play in our cul de sac...though most of them being smaller than him are still a bit scared of him!

Lucy- good luck tomorrow honey...i took my stimms as close to the 24 hrs as poss sometimes before and sometimes after...but 2 hrs ain't gonna make a difference. It would need to be something like 24 hrs cause the eggs may release if no antagonist but you aren't taking a down reg yet are you? so its all okay cause it's early days. It would only become a problem if it was at the end of your stimming as the eggs may relese prematurely. Sort of rambled here but i hope you get what i mean 'you are okay'. Hope your headaches are better...you are allowed paracetamol as the nurse said it was okay when iwas stimming. Hope that you get all the eggs you need...sending you tond of PMA and ***follie dust***...be thinking about you tomorrow x x x x x x

Kate i hope you have had a good relaxing weekend and that youo had some fab BBQ's..it's the weather for them. I also like the fact that adam does all the cooking then! What is it about men and BBQ's???? and then not doing any other cooking throughout the year ( unless i am in bed ill :? ) Hope you have a better week at school...no wonder you are so stressed being head of the dept!

A big Hello to everyone else....

As I said before am off to meet friend in Inverness so catch ya all tomorrow...

hello guys

Just done my 2nd injection and all is fine so far! I cant remember who asks but I am not stimming yet. I started down regg 1 week before my af is due, and then, when af is here I have a scan done and if all is alright, I start the stimms. So it should be next week for me. My ET (If i get some embies) should be between the 15th and 25th of May.

I had a nice party yesterday (did not drink though, but had few ciggies  ), then nice BBQ at my dad. I am really tired now cause I did not get much sleep!

Julie, glad you dont find the waiting too long, and how nice from DH!! It is nice to be helped around the house, you dont need this hassle at the moment!!

Lucy, sorry about the headache? does the stimms always do that to you? I never had that problem... I am told by my clinic to take the stimms between 18H and 20H. So I dont think a couple of hours really matters... I hope you are growing many many follies!

Nicki, so sorry about the messed up Af... My first Af after a failed cycle is never too bad. But since I started IVF about 2 years ago now, my cycles are not regular anymore. Before the IVf, i could tell more or less the time of the day when Af will arrive!
Whish you a lot of patience girl!

Gail, Katie, MLG Jen and all the girls, big kisses to you guys!

Morning!!

Hope everyone had a good wkend?

Lucy - good luck with the scan today, hope you get good news

Souris - hope your tmt is going ok

Julie - how's our 2weeker doing? Hopefully it will fly by and you'll be telling us all about your BFP!

Jen - how was your weekend? Did Adam get back in time form the factory?

Nickie - how's you my dear? How is work, it's a bit of a killer going back after so long off. Hope its not too bad, will be thinking of you. Have also PM'd you

I had a lovely one, seemed to go on forever! Not too keen on coming to work today tho! Nickie, I teach 11-18's (for some sin in a previous life!!) and have been for the last 10yrs! DH is also a teacher, he's head of ICT but has only been teaching 6yrs. He used to be in telecoms but got into a car accident and couldn't do it anymore, so I suggested he try teaching (they do a scheme where you can train on the job if you have a degree) and he has never looked back!!

Hi to everyone, hope you are all ok

Hi Girls

Hope you're all alright and have all had a good weekend.
Went in for my scan this morning, I have 9 follies, only 4 look like they are mature though, measuring above 16mm all the others are really small... can you believe my EC day is THURSDAY - YES THURSDAY... I finish my stims tomorrow, take pregnal tomorrow night, day off Wed then in at 11.40 Thursday morning....I am soooo scared... :?

Had a bit of a scare with my sis today too, she is due in 2 weeks time, she hasn't really felt baby move much so we went to Hospital to be checked out, baby seems fine but is big, already measuring about 8lb 5 ish... she is going to see consultant tomorrow to see about being induced maybe next week....!!

Julie - Looks like we're testing a day apart now, my test date is 16th... bring on the BFP's for both of us.... Bless your DH, yes they can do it when they have to can't they.?? I've told my DP he has to wait on me hand and foot for 2 weeks, I've told him I've bought a bell... (ha ha)

Jen - Hope you enjoyed your time with your Friend in Inverness..? The weather is gorgeous isn't it - too nice to be in work, oh well my last day Wednesday for 2 weeks - whhoo hhooo - might get the sun lounger out if its nice and relax on that instead of on the sofa..!!

Souris - Glad the injections are going OK. I do always get headaches with the stims yes, they haven't been that bad actually this time, but still there. Haven't had one today, touch wood.!!

Nicki - How was the first day at work, hope it was OK? Its always awful going back after time off isn't it.? Hope the day went quick for you? How are you feeling? Is AF here now?

Kate - 11 - 18yr olds.. - how brave are you? Are they good kids or do you get a lot of cheek??? If I was a teacher I'd like to teach between 5 - 11 probably..! Anyway glad you enjoyed weekend. Take Care hun.

Take Care all

LUCY - well done on the follies. THURSDAY!!! Thats FAB. BFPs for us!!!!!

QUESTION: Noticed today that my boobs are really tender (directly behind the nipple). Could it be possible they could be sensitive so soon???? Or is it my fault for fidgeting all the damn time hoping they are!

Also - if anyone can answer my tablet question on general thread too....     xxxxxx
