Hi Girls

Just checking in to say hi! We are on the 2ww - it is just about making me go mad!! I can just imagine the men in white coats hanging around waiting for me to spit the dummy!!

He he - I am so impatient - I want to know NOW!
Felt a bit sick first thing this morning - for about a minute and then it went away - I am a little worried I am just imagining it.
Test is on Wednesday so I will keep you posted!

See you later!

Hi everyone
I haven't been online for a while I've just been so sick and busy with work I can't sit at the computer without feeling overwhelmed we'll enough about me
Oh wow em you had a contraction far out i am hoping also that them babies of yours will stay indoors a few more weeks more all the best
All the best fijibabie on the two week wait I am hoping and praying for a bfp from you.
And kery wow that was fast back on the drugs I am hoping for bigger follies from you this cycle.
Hey jomae how is little jacob coming along. And when do u think you will start another cycle. I felt better today and I went up to the baby and kids market in boondall wow what alot of baby stuff at discount prices. Got heaps of stuff some near new.
We'll I got a question hopefully someone can answer. I posted on the pregnant site also. My ob wanted me to do a nuchal scan and an amnio because im in the high risk age group. To me I thought I'd rather not know because of the fact that if something was wrong I'd stress out more during the pregnancy and I won't have a termination regardless of what the outcome was. And now i'm feeling guilty because the ob said its good to know so you can plan for it. Im going with my gut feeling and saying what will be will be. what is your thoughts on this
We'll hope everyone is well cheeky

Hi Cheeky

First, congratulations on your BFP!

We were the same as you with regards to any testing - as we are having twins, if there was a problem for one of the babies we were not going to risk the other baby. Amino carries its own risk however small - even that small risk was to much of a risk for us.

The nuchal fold test is a good non invasive test and could be considered a marker for Downs Syndrome (I think). I also think that this test shows a lot of false positives so even if the test indicates there could be a problem, further testing in some cases would come back OK. Hope this makes sense.

Like you - the only reason I would want to know is so I can plan into the future. All tests so far on our babies have been fine. However NO invasive tests were done.

Make the decisions you WANT and don't be presured by anyone - remember some tests carry risks so if you don't want to add additional risk to your pregnancy (however small) don't do them.

Cheers to all

Hello Di
Firstly welcome and congratulations on your twins after so many attempts you and Dh must be over the moon i don't know how you persavered but good on you. Again welcome and look forward to chatting with you .

Hey cheeky my friend good to have you back glad your feeling better. OOOOhhhhh shopping already your going to be bad look out Dh crack out the credit cards. Hey you said you shopped at boondal where abouts are you for some reason i didn't realize you were so local or i probably did and am just having a stupid day unfortunately i frequent those days. Thanks for asking about Ds he's actually not so good poor little chop has a inner ear infection and is quite miserable but he's on antibiotics so should start feeling better soon or I hope so the whole house needs some sleep poor little mans been waking every hour and a half screaming see what you have to look forward to . As for me no idea when our next round will be we just cant scrape the money together at the moment don't you wish you were rich I know I do. It makes me wonder about the poor couples who can't afford any cycles that would be the worse ever so yes we are definately thankful for our little noisy munchkin.

Hey Barbs
sorry to lazy to flick through and see when your test day is hope it doesn't drag to long for you any signs to suggest a BFP hope so

Hi em
How you going hope your ok getting excited for you.

Sorry cheeky will check back on shortly to put my two bit in about your question the boys awake and looking for some loving thats the little man by the way looking for cuddles HA HA HA

Sorry Hi Kery hope your well nearly missed you.

Thanks Jomae

Blood test done on Wednesday, I guess we will find out that afternoon. It is very scary and I am finding it incredibly hard to focus at work (this is where I am now!)
No real symptoms yet - I think I have imagined some. I have a weary feeling back. Mentioned it to MIL and she said she had that too - when she was getting the flu!! Good one.
Boobs are not sore - they usually get sore about a week before AF and my back is normally sore during AF. This is a different sore feeling - as I said a weary feeling like I have been gardening all day.
How is everyone else?

Hi Guys,

Whew...what a day at work! The air-con broke and I was trying to train my replacement.....it was 30'c in the scan room today - actually hotter inside than out!

Cheeky - I understand your concerns and we felt exactly the same way. Di explained it well. We had the Nuchal done, mainly because I could get it done for free at work but I had already decided that I was NOT going to have an amnio as there is a risk of miscarriage and I didn't feel it was worth it.
Think of the nuchal as peace of mind and the chance to have another peak at your bub....the actually do look like babies at 11 weeks. And if the results indicate a higher chance of Down's, then take it as advance warning and time to get your head around it. But ultimately it is your choice and you should do what you feel right.

Di - nice to see you over here!

Barbs - are you hanging in there..not long to go now! Just to let you know, I had absolutely no signs at all so don't listen to anyone who says you should be feeling this, that, or the other if you have a BFP.....I certainly didn't!

Angela - nice to hear from you again...whats new with you?

Jomae - Are you on the northside? We are at Eatons Hill. Sorry to hear about poor Jacob's ear.

Anyway, very tired and need to have some feet up time.

Hi Xrayem,

Things are going well, I've been down regging for 10 days I haven't had any side effects so I consider myself to be really fortunate.

I have a blood test tomorrow - hopefully I can start my stims tomorrow night or Thursday. EC is scheduled for the the week of the 14th May and I am really hoping I'll make it this time.

You must be getting excited - wow I can only imagine how it must feel knowing in a couple of months you will have your family home !!

Hi Guys, Sorry this will be short Arizonana kiwi welcome look forward to chatting with you and good luck with your upcoming cycle PMA coming your wayn I hope this is your time to .

Em wow i have family in Eatonshill we've probably already crossed paths
small world hey.

Hi cheeky I've heard of sunnybankhills I'm not local anymore but might as well be i'm down Caboolture way more than i am at home or so it seems as for your test question I personally would not do the amnio why risk it, if there was no chance of harming the babe i would say go for it the more you know the better and thats why i think the nuchal fold scan is good not only do you get to have another peek at your baby but if something did show up you can start to prepare your self and your family I'm sure you will do what you think is right take care

BARBS BARBS BARBS waiting to read your BFP notice this arvo so excited for you and as for your spotting you mentioned in another thread it is a positive sign i spotted on two seperate days thats how i figured we were having twins so good luck to you hows DH getting excited is he going with you to get your results
