For Progesterone shots are you taking 1 cc or 2 cc?

Hi,

My RE prescribed only 1 cc but I have been reading that some clinics prescribe 2 ccs. I did the suppositories last time and I had the normal side effects. With the 1 cc shot I am not having any side effects. Ok here is where I sound like a crazy person but I am nervous that the dose might not be high enough since there are no side effects....other than sore butt. If you could let me know if you are on 1 cc or 2 cc it would greatly be appreciated. My clinic prefers the suppositories so I wonder if they are too conservative in prescribing only 1 cc.

I am on 1cc. I take it each night. I have been up't to 2cc before, but they monitor your levels and if you are good they will keep you at 1cc.

Hi Michelle - I take 1 cc too. Most clinics personalize it to the patient and adjust as necessary. Supposedly the PIO shots are more effectively absorbed than the suppositories, so maybe you just don't need as much of it.

The clinic I went to had me on 1cc shot in the morning and 1cc supp. at night. After 9 weeks I was taken to just the supp. at night. Best of luck to you.

I am 4 days post transfer and I am on 1cc of PIO nightly. I am not having any side effects other than a sore butt either. You are not alone..The PIO dosage is personalized.
