Just a quick post--I'm going swimming with my dh so have to jet.
Melissa--Grey's Anatomy is not over this week. It's just a 2 hour episode because they are introducing the concept of Addison leaving the show and starting one of her own. I think there are two or three more episodes after this. So all is not lost! And I agree with you about Amazing Race. Charla and Mirna are so f'ing annoying.

Wanna--Welcome back!

Okay, gotta go. Grrrr, I really don't want to put a swimming suit on right now!

So you have lots of people inquiring about the twin thing huh? Wow people are nosy. If I were you I would keep telling them exactly what you have been. You're not deceiving anyone, you're telling the truth. Twins do run in dh's family and that's all people need to know unless you choose to tell them different. Like you said, it's none of their freakin business and don't let them bully you into telling them things you dont want to! Wow..as much as we complain about the fertile people comments before you get pregnant, good to know that people still butt into your business when you are pregnant! Goody..something to look forward to!
How cool about hearing the heartbeats! I don't know anything about what they mean as far as girl or boy but a heartbeat in the 160's and 170's right now is great. That is exactly what they are supposed to be at this point. They usually stay that high until the end of the pregnancy when usually the rate drops down to 120's or 130's. I'm so glad to hear everything is going good, and that you've been feeling better.

Melissa~ Oh good so he goes to bed at the perfect time. You scared me for a minute. All the Survivor fans I know can't have any interuptuions while it's on, so I couldn't imagine that you would be different!
Is your colonoscopy on Tuesday and you're prepping Monday? I work on Sunday night so I will sleep part of the day Monday but I can definitely e-mail you between zzzz's!

Wanna!!! So glad the search party worked! I was worried about sending out the dogs - that was my last ditch effort! I think it's ironic that you are asked if Twins run in your family, when my sister heard too many times to count - if she was IVF (when she wasn't) I think you should feel that whatever they need to hear, if they ask if twins run in your family tell them they run in DH's family - if you feel you should/could them that that you concieved through IVF, tell them that - oh and my sister recommends "Ready or Not Here We Come" it's a blue book, she said it really is one of the least scientific books she had, and she enjoyed it alot! I hope that helps!

I am prepping on Sunday, and Monday AM - the colonoscopy is Monday afternoon, I have to be at the hospital on Monday at 1PM... so I have to clear liquid diet on Sunday and take the prep stuff Sunday night, and fast on Monday with the rest of the prepp stuff. It's a party in my bathroom!!! I'll have a book with me and the laptop

I'm tellin' ya, fun times! I'd LOVE to hear from you!!!!

Meg- that's right, two hours this week and then the season finale is coming soon, right? Addison's new show is called Private Practice, I am a weeee bit excited for it - and I know who wins the Amazing Race... do you wanna know??? (and I loath Schmina too!!! Those fake accents ARE SOOOO annoying!) I am so sure you look totally adorable in a bathing suit!!!

Okay, new to this thread, but needed somewhere to rant and thought I had seen some on here before.

My neighbor and I are okay friends. We hang out once in a while but not that often. She does know my situation with having to go through IVF. Well, she is pregnant with child number 2. She had made a comment in passing about 4 months ago that she didn't think anyone would host a shower for her. I told her that if absolutely noone hosted one, I would see what I could do. Well, now I find out she is telling everyone that I am going to host her a shower. She has lots of really close friends who would be much better suited for this.
It just makes me mad because I will be undergoing IVF here in about a month. I am sure she wants the shower right about the time that I either get a BFP or BFN. Why couldn't she be more sympathetic to me and say that due to my situation, it would probably be better for someone else to host it. I guess that's what I get for opening my big mouth.

Okay off that. I see that several of you watch reality TV. I am a reality TV freak. I cannot miss an episode of Survivor or Amazing Race, and I even watch Bachelor

I am guessing that the beauty queens win Amazing Race. At least I hope so. They are my favorites that are left.

I am also hooked on Grey's Anatomy. I had heard that this was the last season, since they are losing Addison and Burke. Has anyone else heard anything?

First let me say, your neighbor has some ka-who-nas!!! My goodness!!! I think maybe she doesn't realize that right around the time of her shower you'll be facing a BFP (or BFN) but hopefully a BFP... maybe you should let her know that her shower time is going to fall into a really crappy time for you with all of the treatments and whatnots - maybe you can help one of her friends host a shower for you (this way the pressure is off of you) Maybe???

I am sorry she is being a bia-oytch! People just don't understand, do they! I'll beat her up for you if you'd like!

And I love you for loving Survivor!!! I am not has much loving the contestants this go-around as much as I am loving the challenges! They rock this season!

The Amazing Race - well since I heard a Spoiler on who wins, I won't let you in on it... but uh -well, never mind.

As for Grey's - it's already been picked up for another season, so you don't have to worry - and Burke isn't confirmed or denyed as leaving, so don't you worry your widdle heart!

Well, I just e-mailed a friend of my neighbors and told her that I was roped into doing this shower but I really have no time. So, I am hoping she will take that hint and say she will do it. I just think people can be so inconsiderate. If she didn't know what I was going through that would be one thing, but she does. URG!!!

I agree on Survivor...noone that I just love. In the past there has always been someone to root for, not this season. However, I did see a spoiler on this one and I at least know the bottom two.

When is the final showing of Amazing Race?

Grays Anatomy kills me. More often than not my dh can find me crying my eyes out watching that show. I don't know what it is. I can really get roped into that one:)

Well, like Mel said, your neighbor has a whole lot of nerve! It amazes me hoe freakin inconsiderate people can be sometimes. If I were you, I think I would tell them that will be a terrible time for you. For the love of God..a baby shower of all things. No way would I do it, even if I had semi-offered. That will just be too much stress on you at a really bad time.
So we have another reality show girl in here. I watch Bachelor too but was certainly not going to admit that one until someone else did! That's one of my favorites too!

Melissa~ I'll be e-mailin ya on Monday! Sounds like you'll be having some good quality time with the 'ol throne! You are so funny. I could just picture you on the toilet with your laptop!

I just had my first session with my Personal Trainer, and my fingers are shaking - he worked my tushie off (I guess that's the point!) I was an idiot and had Backyard Burger for lunch, thinking I'd burn it off, not thinking that I'd be sick to my stomach during Torture by Dom! He's amazing! I love him... I hate myself for being so out of shape!

He's coming to my office at 5:30 and I get to work out/torture with my coworker! Fun times! (but not as fun as the ol' throne time - on the 13th and 14th!!!)

Nicki - I usually watch The Bachelor, but I didn't this season, sorry! (and it's next Monday - not this Monday... just so you knew, I mean you can email me anytime!!! But I won't be on the throne, until the following Monday...

hrobinson- Please let us know what your neighbor's friend says, I hope she takes the hint!!! I just had a rotten Baby Shower experience, so I know how you feel!! I don't know when the season Finale of TAR is, I am sure it's soon, next week, right? I totally loose it for Grey's too, I sob more often than not...

Okay, time to drink some water, and more water, and more water - I guess this is practice for the clear liquid diet! FUN FUN!

hrobinson--the nerve of that lady! I honestly can't believe some people...doesn't she realize how much that hurts you? You are a good person for doing it--and if you don't think you can make it through well then tell her that--you'll still be a good person! I myself haven't been to a baby shower in years! and I assure you I've been invited to many. Just couldn't handle it! So welcome and rant anytime!

Nickster--Nope, no tan for me. It's still not tanning weather here in Nebraska although it was 90 yesterday! We went to an indoor pool to swim. My dh is training to do a triathalon this summer, so every once in a while I join him at the pool. Fun. Also, my dr's appointment isn't until the 14th so I still have 2 weeks to sit here and stew. Grrrrrr.

I love that you all watch as much tv as I do! The Bachelor, Amazing Race, Survivor, Grey's. Where would I be without them!

Melissa- A personal trainer??? i am so jealous. I went to put shorts on this past weekend and NONE of them fit. How depressing is that? So anyhow, my dh offered to hire a personal trainer, but I figure that would cost a pretty penny. I said I would rather continue saving our money for the upoming IVF.
I thought aboutjust joining a gym, but not good about going on my own

It is so fun to read all y'alls posts. You guys seem so close.

FYI- Sunday is the season finale of The Amazing Race. We can all watch as Mirna and whoever get booted. I am shocked they made it as far as they did. As much as I hate all the gay guys, I like them over those two b***ches. I downloaded the application to go on it once...it's LONG. Dad never completed it

Meg- I just noticed you are pregnant. How sweet of you to continue to go swimming with your dh. I could not even dream of putting a bathing suit on the last time I was pregnant.

Gotta run get some zzz's big day at work tomorrow. Never any end.

So, I sitting in an internet cafe in the middle of the gorgeous austrian lake country... so i only have a minute... and only got to skim the posts.... SOOOO... just a few personals...

Vicky: Hope you are hanging in there!

Melissa: looking forward to good news this next Monday... what a relief that will be!

Wanna: Glad to hear the wanna-twins are doing well. Very respectable heart rates! I am predicting one girl and one boy.

hrobinson: Welcome. And.... i'd say your friend is one of those that just "doesn't get it". And most likely never will. Punter award nominee for sure. If i were you, i would do anything to not be giving that shower. Good luck... will be watching to see what happens.

By way of a Sassy update....
Austria is fab! Spent three hours yest hiking in vienna woods with my friends. Roswitha has cooked or baked tons of austrian treats so i do believe i have gained upwards of 5 lbs! My german is actually much better than i expected it would be after being gone for a year. But how do you explain the heartache and rigors of IVF, and that i hit a brick wall and it probably will never work... let alone in a foreign language. Yeah, but i tried.

dh and i rented a car and sped out of the city and are firmly entrenched in the salzkammergut for two days.... most likely the most beautiful place on earth with quaint villages, towering mountains and gorgeous lakes. Deep breathing!

Unfortunately probably won't have much internet until Sunday when we are in Italy, then i will have high-speed so i can be on hours a day catching up with all of you.

Hope you all are well!

oh, and btw.... for whatever reason... i don't even long for a baby the last week or so... Not sure what that means

Vicky - Please stay positive!!! I think that if you KNOW in your hearts of hearts that those twinges and gas pains are the embie getting all comfy cosy in there, that - well, that's what it'll be! ) Oh and I have a gym membership, but I am too lazy to go, and the one we are members of, we pay like nothing, because we joined like 15 years ago... but it's called Gainesville Health and Fitness Center, I call it Gainesville Health and Fashion Show, people go there with all their make up on... Sassy! I am so excited for you, it sounds glorious! Absolutely mind-blowing spectacular! I am totally jealous, and I cannot wait to see pictures!

Meg- I think you getting in a bathing suit - is probably the best thing you could do, when my sister was pregnated, she did a bit of swimming, and pool walking and it really helped with the labor! You should probably go with DH more often!

hrobinson- This SUNDAY! Yay!!! I love me some TAR! I printed the applicaiton too, and I started to fill it out, but it's alot of work, so I gave up too!

Dont' worry Mirna and Schrimna aren't making it... if that makes you feel any better!

Okay so the Personal Trainer, one of our dear infertile friends (as a couple- they are, she has endo REALLY bad, and he's has Gulf War Syndrome...so no babies for them) HE is a fit guy, he has some asthma issues, so he can't be in the military any more - but he is practicing his Personal Training on me! It was really awsome - I love it! He called last night and said we should do another session a week... well I am tellin' you that today when I went to pee this morning, I went to sit down, and well my legs hurt so bad that I got half way down and gravity took care of the rest, DH heard the thump and screamed, "Are you okay?" - that was embarressing!

Okay, well I gotta get back to work, I started this post over an hour ago... nice!
