Anyone over 48?

Post by elaina »

Im 48 and have two grown children. My second husband is 45 and really wants a child. We are planning to try egg donor. Is there any success stories at such advance age? Please advise.

Hi Elaina I am Wanda, I am 47 my DH is 46 and we have just started the process. I believe and have faith along with the Lord I will be sucessfull. I have just started my Lupron. At our age egg donation is the best successfull way to achieve a pregnancy. I have a son who is 30 years old. So if both you and your husband want this as much as I and my DH do go for it. And believe it will happen.

I am going through the same process - see my post on Brazil. It is planned to happen in June. Rates of pregnancy with donated eggs are similar to that of women at the age of the donor. Your chances are increased due to the fact that you are a "good uterus"!
Good luck, let me know about your progress - I am 48 too!
Best wishes, Literatriz

Hi I have just started with my progestorone and estrogen to prepare my uterus for implantation of embroys using a Donor. So far all is well. Keep the faith and prayers. Prayer has helped me through the process and patience I am truly blessed.

My egg donor failed for me I have 4 implanted and my pregnancy test wast negative on 3/9/07. Not sure what's my next course of action. Hubby wants to try again but at what cost this is just to expensive for us.

Costs

Post by hrdtqt »

Sorry it didn't work this time Wanda but keep trying... I know it is very costly - both emotionally and financially but you can imagine the reward... You were rewarded in the past. Just remember how that felt...
Best of Luck with which ever you decide... :( ...... :)
