Hi

Thought I'd better start posting over here now in case old site goes.

I have been really ill for the last few days. I have explained all in the roll call topic to save repeating again.

I hope you are ok. I agree about work, you don't realise how stressful things are and that's all you need right now. This is much more important. Your job sounds very complicated and being the most senior I can imagine what it's like. I worked in a Bank as a Manager until the end of the last year (after 13 years!) and I know how everyone's problems become yours and you can't fob them off to someone else as you're in charge!! I say you should take loads of time off!!!Well I had a bit of a change in career didn't I?
I was brown but haven't been on the sunbed since stims so going a bit pale now. Not sure how to explain it to customers for next 6 weeks!
Told some of my friends now and feel happier things are in the open.
My shop is in Hertfordshire about 20 mins from home in Bedfordshire. Where abouts in London do you live?

I think I'm going to phone the clinic and ask them if everything is ok. Haven't done yet but maybe they'll fit me in for a scan a bit earlier or something!

Bye for now

Take care

Elaine x
Elaine,

Sorry to hear of all your troubles.

I hope you are now feeling better. I suggest you go ahead and phone the clinic and see what they say sometimes you know, baby is the last person to know that you are ill as nature has it's way of protecting it from such illnesses. My sister survived a serious malaria attack at 3 months and went on to deliver a health boy recently.

I really do hope that all is well with the baby, take heart, call the clinic and see what advice they give you and most importantly, don't stress too much (mmmh, easy to say isn't it?).

Take GOOD care of yourself and let's know what happens.

Good luck!

mao
Hi Elaine,

You poor thing, that stomach bug couldn't have come at a worse time, we have enough to deal with as it is. I'm sure your little emby is doing fine. It stayed put when you had that fall and I reckon that although you weren't eating as well as we are expected to, it took everything it needed anyway. Good idea phoning the clinic, have you done so yet. It will be good if they can scan you earlier for your peace of mind.

Your change of career sounded like a great move. Was that something you always wanted to do? Is there a specific reason why can't you go on the sunbeds at the moment or are you just being extra cautious? Are we supposed to avoid sunbathing and sunbeds during this time?

Have you started having any symptons yet? The morning sickness has kicked in for me now and seems to last all day. It's worse in the morning for about 3 or 4 hours (I don't actually be sick but feel very close to it) and then I just feel yuk for the rest of the day. I have completely gone off food but eat because I have to.

I live in Surrey, not too far out of London, about 40 mins on the train.

Well, I'd better go and do some work now as the day is getting on and I have nothing all morining.

Take care.

Love Maggie.xx
Hi

Mao and Maggie. Thanks for your messages. I am much better now thanks. Didn't ring clinic in the end as felt better and I'm going on Thursday for scan so fingers crossed for then. Good luck Maggie with yours too.
You can have natural sun but sunbeds are bad because you have increased pigmentation when pregnant and sunbeds can make it worse I think. Will check with doctor this week but that's what I thought was the case.
Have felt slightly sick but not too bad so far. Maggie, do you think that's a sign of twins??
Other than being tired no other symptoms really. Boobs have stopped hurting mostly and only get the odd twinge.

Will post after scan Thursday. Good luck Maggie. How far are you Mao?

Love Elaine
Hi Elaine,

Glad to hear from you and so pleased that you are feeling much better.

My morning sickness seems to be getting a little better now. I was struggling to find food that didn't make me feel sick at the thought of it but am slowly figuring out what I can and can't stand. I'm not sure if twins has alot to do m/s because my neighbour was telling me about when she was pregnant with her daughter and her morning sickness was much worse than mine.

Take care and good luck for Thrusday (I've also got everything crossed for both of us).

Love maggie.xx
