Thank goodness I found this site!!! I am so glad to have found it and will be a regular visitor in the future (even though I am meant to be working)
Hubby and I are about to go through the IVF thingamee bob. We start bureslin in three days - scaries!!! He is going to be the administrator I think - somehow I can not see me poking myself with a big pin! Is it really THAT bad and does everyone get grumpy or have mood swings or go around acting like some mad person?? I do not normally get menopausal so here's hoping I feel pretty normal with these injections. Hubby and I are really looking forward to starting in a macabre sort of way.
Anyway, any advice or tips gladly accepted.

firstly, dont worry!! not everyone is really THAT bad with the injections...it really varies from person to person. who knows, if you're not very hormonal anyway then you may be absolutely fine!!!
i worried and panicked over my first ivf but it really wasnt as bad as i expected it!! and i would go through it again. yes, i threw a tantrum before i did my first needle but once i'd done it it really wasnt anyting to worry about.
it also may be worth you joining us on the march thread on the general forum. we have lots of ladies on there at the moment cycling so you will be able to chat to them.
hope to see you there and good luck!!

Hi. I've done ivf treatment once and had absolutely no side effects! Obviously that makes me one of the lucky ones. I just stuck myself with a needle in the morning and then on with my day! I hope everything goes ok for you. My treatment failed but that's how it goes sometimes of course. The egg collection was really successful (12 eggs) but maybe that's because my hubby has a low sperm count and I'm ok fertiltiy wise.
Good luck and don't be overly worried. I keep saying this to people but if you try and think of the process as an interesting journey you will get through it a lot easier than thinking of it as some sort of doomy last chance (which it isn't of course).
i had quite a few symptoms with the Buserelin injections - including moodiness, depression and extreme tiredness... but i've heard that others have nothing! hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones...
good luck with the injections and with your IVF...will be interested to follow how you get on!
