JANUARY 2008 BABIES

Post by Christine B »

I thought I should start this new thread for those of you that are getting Jan 2008 due dates. I don't think I'll be alone here:)

I just found out today that I am expecting for the second time via IVF. My due date is Jan 7, 2008 and my first Beta Test was 203. I will have another Beta Test on May 3rd. My first scan will be in 2 weeks.

I wish all of the lovely ladies that are going through IVF the most baby angel dust possible for positive results. Take Care!

Love,
Christine

I too had my 2nd beta test at 577 and I will be going in for a progesterone and estrogen check on 5/3/07. I hope I haven't done anything to compromise the baby. But I have been calculating my due date and I too will be due in January. It's still really new to me so I am not sure if I can be truly happy yet.

Congratulations to both of you on your BFPs. I also received a BFP April 23rd and just had my estrogen and progestrone levels checked today. They both came back high however I am on prometrium and vivelle patches. They are decreasing those amounts now. My DH is thrilled however I am still really nervous that everything is alright. I am hoping that after our 1st u/s next week that I will feel better about it. Do you have these same feelings?

snemo - Why do you think you might have done something to compromise the baby? I bet you and baby are doing great. Please let us know how your blood test come out.

fingerscrossed3077 - I feel the first scan is the true confirmation of what's going on. The HCG levels are good as well but once you can see even the yolk sak on the first scan or possibly the heartbeat - then it really hits home. Keep us posted as to how the scan went.

Take Care Ladies! Congrats on your BFP's. Lots of Baby Angel Dust coming your way!

Love,
Christine

I too feel that the u/s will make me feel better. I have not been feeling all that well on the progesterone and vivelle patches and all of a sudden, I feel better. I don't know if my body is adjusting or if something is going on. It's a constant worry for me (perhaps it's the same type of worrying through the IVF procedure). I really hope that my blood test tomorrow comes back ok and my my u/s is ok as well. I keep praying every night for the best.

Thanks for your support

snemo - I feel the same way. The pressure in my stomach has lessened a bit so I'm wondering if things are ok. But I will have my second Beta test tomorrow and if the number has doubled then I will feel a little better. It's a hard game to play especially with the meds since they mimic pregnancy symptoms so it's a little hard to tell what's the meds and what's the real thing. Oh well. Take Care and Best Wishes!

Christine,

I hear you about the 2nd beta test. I felt the same way. But then once that was over I'm worrying about the progesterone and estrogen check and then the u/s. Does the worrying ever end? I thought once I got the positive HCG I would be ultimately happy, but then I see myself now and I am still worried.
Wishing you all the best on your 2nd beta.

snemo - I hear you loud and clear. It is always a worry as so much can go wrong sometimes. I've had 3 miscarriages so I'm not jumping for joy at this point. Plus I'm getting a little scared by a few folks mentioning my initial HCG sounds like twins. Obviously we would be truly blessed even if there turned out to be twins. But we have a 17 month old now and I don't know how I could handle twins. But I truly believe God doesn't give us more than we can handle so we will cross that bridge when we get the first scan and see what's up. So I am truly nervous which I guess is to be expected. Best of luck to you as well. I'll keep you posted.

Love,
Christine

Hi Ladies-

So far this is how my HCG #'s look:
12dp3dt - 203
14dp3dt - 456

I go back again on May 10 for the next HCG check. My scan will be the week after that. The nurse told me not to worry as those numbers are not telling them if I have twins or not - will have to wait for the scan to see.

Take Care Ladies! Can't wait to hear your updates!

Love,
Christine

Hi there ladies,

I was concerned too about the twin thing. I would love twins but there are a lot of concerns about having twins and all the complications that come along with it. I spoke to the RN about this and she said that the HCG levels really don't represent singletons or multiples but it just tells you whether the embryo is developing. If not, there may be problems with an ectopic or other problem with the pregnancy. But with a doubling HCG, I think you will be just fine. Good luck!

I just had my labs for my progesterone and estrogen levels today. I too am hoping for the best.

Hi Ladies
I am glad to hear that everyone is doing well. I think the 2ww for my scan has lasted far longer than the 2ww wait for my HCG tests! My ovaries have been giving me some pains the last few days however everything has checked out normal. They took me off of the estrogen and we are slowly working on the progesterone. When is everyone else's first scans? I am with both of you on the Twin thing. My husband and I are adopting a new born baby boy in July so I am hoping that we are only prenant with one. I really don't think I could handle 3 little ones at the same time! Hope everyone is doing well!
