April/May cycle buddies

Hi everyone,

As of today i have 7 2-cell embryos and 5 4-cell embryos. and my RE wants to do 3 day transfer. ET will be tomorrow. not sure if everything is good so far.i was hoping of 5 day transfer. a bit disappointed and tensed on why they cant wait till 5th day. also they are planning to transfer 3 embies tomm..

Well EC went fabulously well! They got 15 eggs, 14 of which are mature enough to fertilize. I can't believe it! At my age to have that good a response is really, really good news. We will get the fertilization report tomorrow. I know my clinic usually transfers 4+ embryos for women my age so I hope this tips the odds in my favor.

Gecko,

That's a very good news on your ER. My RE advised me to drink lot of water to avoid any pain or Urinary infection after ER..Wish all your eggs fertilize and you have lot of embies to choose.

This is my first time in this forum. I am on my first IVF cycle, started Stim meds yesterday. RE plans for ER on the 14th of May. I am very scared and hoping everything goes well.

Rdoc - You have come to the right place! All you have to do is ask and there are lots of people who can give you answers from their own experiences. The first IVF cycle is always a little scary but it really goes faster than you think. Take care.

Hope everyone is doing well. I got my fert report and 10 of our 15 eggies fertilized! I am really excited. My transfer is set for Sunday. I am really hoping that we have at least 5 to transfer and even some to freeze - but I know the odds of that are low for my age group. Has anyone else frozen embryos at 43?

Had my ET today..transferred 3 embies 8-cell.. test date is may 15th..keeping my fingers crossed..into 2ww now.

Yea, now the dreaded 2WW for you!!! Welcome to the club!!!
I measured my temperature tonight and it was 97.7, so it went way down, i am afraid AF is really close

. Everybody told me to stay positive, but I think i am at the end of the rope here

. I can't stay away form evil pee sticks, so i am going to test tmrw morning.

We just got back from ET. All 10 of our embryos made it to day 3. We transfered 6 - all 8 celled and the other 4 they will keep to see if they make it to day 5. If so, we will freeze them. Everyone was all smiles and congratulating and hugging us! My doctor said it was unusual for all to look this good for women my age. I am just hoping that the 6 are snuggling in and that at least one decides to stay around for the next 8 months!

Gecko- WOW I hope your lil fighters stick around for the next 9 months.

As for here we are being pushed back another because my eggies are not up to size yet. Oh joy so ....

Hi everyone,

I just got back from my egg retrieval- they got 6 eggs. I was a bit disappointed with the number, but the docs seem confident and say that they were high quality. Now all we have to do is wait for fertilization. Keeping my fingers crossed!

6 is a good number, just remember you need only one to get pg...
I also had 6 eggs retrieved, and RE mentioned quality were excellent. i got transferred -2 blastocyst. and yes i did got BFP. next week i have u/s. i will know whether one or two. So just relax and be positive. 6 is excellent.
