STILL CRAMPING!!! Is this normal?

Post by wannababyIVF »

HI Everyone, I'm 13 weeks pregnant with twins. I have been having slight cramping (some days worse than others) almost everyday. I had it in the very beginning right after ET which I thought was normal. Then there was the round ligament pain very early in the first trimester. Now it's back. Is this normal?

Anyone else having twins or a singleton still feel the cramping? It's almost like AF cramps. Luckily I haven't had any spotting so I'm not too worried but I still want to know if it's something I should worry about. Especially because I'm thinking about calling the OBGYN. But I don’t want to look like a hypochondriac...especially if this is normal and others are feeling it. :-)

Weird but I like to get opinions from you ladies before calling the doctor (unless it’s really serious). Ironically I learn more on here than the doctor’s office. lol

I am sure it's nothing but I definitely think you should go see the doctor. Who cares if they think you are overreacting, it will give you peace of mind and that is all that matters!!! The most important thing is that you aren't stressed or worrying. Good luck!

Hi,
I still have the AF type cramps too. I've gotten them almost everyday since I've been pregnant and I'm now 15 weeks. I was just at the doctor yesterday and mentinoned it - he said it is likely due to stretching and growth of the uterus. It's always good to check in with the doctor just to reassurance youself though.

Good luck,
Karen

Thanks ladies! I did call my OBGYN yesterday. He told me to go home and put my feet up and drink lots of water. He said it could be gas and it could be the babies stretching. He told me to take it easy and if it felt worse to go to the emergency room or give him a call.

I also told him that I had done a lot of walking this past weekend and he agreed that maybe I did to much. He told me to listen to my body.

I'm feeling a lot better today. Maybe I just needed to rest.

Thanks again ladies!

Hi

Post by Hazel73 »

Probably your cramps are nothing to worry. I am at week 10 and having some cramps, but when I was with the dr last time he said (after the ultrasound) that there are some blood follicules in my ovaries (caused by needle aspiration during IVF) and they may have increased the cramps&pain. She said as long as the pain is mild dont worry, but I am still looking forward to my next appointment to see if they are gone.

Good luck,
Hazel
