Hi everyone,

for once, I'm upbeat and excited, so please forgive my enthusiam and all the exclamation marks!!!

Have just been given a c/s date of 7th November if I haven't done anything myself beforehand!

That works out at 38.5 weeks, which is considered 'term' for twins. I never imagined that I'd get into October, let alone be talking dates for November!!!

Growth scan today showed that they're approx 5lb 3 & 5lb 6 - which is fantastic.

With my previous history, I'm amazed to have got this far. I truly expected the babies to be here before my birthday, which is next Tuesday.

Half of me's really excited that I'm now expected to go the full distance, and half of me's thinking how can I cope with being that huge for that long?!?

Only probs are normal pregnancy things, ankles like tree trunks, sausages for fingers, little bit leaky (people protest when I do pelvic floor exercises - they literally put their foot down and stop it), and very uncomfortable at night.

One baby is high transverse, and the other is breech. Basically, there's two heads under my left boob (making it stick up and look pert), a bottom under the right boob (which is saggy), a back running down my left hand side, and four feet in my right groin.

Have done just about all the getting the house ready and preparation kind of stuff - almost feel cheated that I may have to wait a month to start using everything. Still, gives me some time to work out how to operate the new camera he bought. His mates have started planning a major event for the wetting of the babies' heads - sounds like it will be an almighty session - quite glad that I'll be tucked up in a hospital bed that night and not have to witness the state he'll come home in!

And, to cap it all our budgie (which we though was male, until the vet said that Harry was infact a 'she' and post-menopausal) has bred with the other one, and we now have three tiny baby budgies, with three more eggs to hatch! So, if you know anyone in the Essex/East London area who wants a baby bird approx end Nov...

Love to you all, your men and your bumps.

S
xx
Hey - how exciting! Sounds like you are psyched up and ready to go Sarah!

I had a bit of a shock at my NCT class tonight. One of the girls, who is 2 wks behind me (I am 32 wks) has gone into labour! I think everyone in the class nearly fainted. Fortunately last week we did 'Recognising the signs of labour'!

I am booked in for 27 Nov for my section so I will be a few wks behind you. Not as organised as you though - in fact, not organised at all. You are making me feel guilty.

Anyway, take care. Glad someone else has the tree trunk legs - mine are hideous.

Love
Dee xxx.
Oh Sarah, thats wonderful I can imagine your excitment. I'm sure all your equipment will get plenty of use soon enough. Are you managing to sleep ok - if so, enjoy it while you can ! Have a wonderful birthday. All our love Wendy and Chris and our little bump. xxx

HI SARAH

I am sure your news of your pregancy boost everybodys hope and asperations and puts our faith back into IVF (that is if you fell through IVF?).

GOOD LUCK IN LABOUR (SORE) AND ENJOY YOUR LITTLE BUNDLES WHEN THEY ARRIVE.

LOVE DEBSx
Sarah - many happy returns for Tuesday. More importantly, such wonderful news about the size of your little ones (although I guess here must be a downside when you have to physically carry them round inside you!). I've been following your progress since you gave me some wonderfully practical advice in the summer about how to get a squeamish partner to give the "big" injections in the bum.

With best wishes (but no interest in budgies going cheep (sorry, couldn't resist that!)

Alison
Hi Sarah

You have every reason to feel excited, I’m delighted that everything is going so well for you and your little ones sound like they’re a couple of heavy weights already. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable you must be feeling but you know it will all be worth it in the end.

I hope you continue to stay so healthy and happy throughout the rest of your pregnancy.

Do you keep in touch with Sally? We haven’t heard from her for a while now and I’m sure she was due to have her c-section round about now. Mind you if she’s had the triplets already then it’s not surprising that she hasn’t found time to visit here and tell us all about it! I would love to hear how she is getting on sometime though.

With luv
Julie x
Julie, age 35. Married 12 years, ttc for 10 years, 2 ectopic pregnancies, lost both tubes so tried IVF. 7 unsuccessful attempts and have reached the end of the road so not sure where I belong !!

Jilly

Many thanks for updating us on Sally. I have been thinking about her over the last mth or so and was getting a bit worried as she had gone very quiet. I'm delighted to hear that the triplets are well and am looking fwd to hearing all the details when she finally gets a chance to log on (sometime in the year 2018 maybe??).

Love
Dee xxx.

This is all so exciting. Sally has had triplets, Sarah has four weeks to go until twins are born, JD has five weeks to go and Dee has a little bit more than that. We are in the middle of a baby boom, yipppppeeeeeeeeeeee.

Ladies you are living proof that this can actually work and I wish you all the best in the coming weeks. What an excellent Christmas prezzie for you all and of course for all us honorary aunties.

Lots of Love

Lisa (Loonpants)
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Dee actually has a bit less than that to go! I am currently booked in for a section in 4 wks - however I have a low lying placenta so they might bring the date fwd ... so watch this space. Getting very excited - still can't believe it. Even after 8 mths and with this big belly it is hard to believe that it is actually happening.

It's lovely that you are so pleased for us Lisa - I know how difficult it is. Please please keep in touch.

Love
Dee x.
