Hey Girls! Sorry that I have been gone for a few days, but I've been keeping up with everyone's posts. I had some surprising news on Friday and I have been trying to deal with it. I found out that my sister-in-law is PREGNANT! Needless to say, I am having a rush of emtions. It is very bitter-sweet for me. I am obviously very excited for them...but you have to know my sister-in-law. She is, for whatever reason, very much in competition of me. I told my husband, after we has our BFP in March, "mark my words, she (my sister-in-law) will be pregnant in a few months....and look now what happened. She always has to be the center of attention. Maybe I am looking too far into it...but she knows our situation and the was it was told to us was very inappropriate. She is not sensitive to our situation AT ALL!!! Anyways, enough about that...just trying to recoupe and focus on our plans and future now!!!

Tanya...I am so proud of you...glad you got 12 embies rest awaying. I hope you are feeling better soon! Enjoy yor time off and pamper yourself!

Welsome Susan...sorry about your BFP...but nothing like looking to the future!

Steph...don't worry about the wait. With my fresh cycle I had to stim 2 days longer...and the it was like the cup runith over. I exploded with mature eggs. So think positive...it WILL happen. I ended up with 12 mature eggs.

Jenn...yeah on your schedule...so exciting for you!!!

Sophie...I agree...great job on the list. I am sure it is hard to keep up with everything. The list is getting so long too! Awesome dream...that is reassuring isn't it?

Jolis...how did it go with the retreival?

Jovigal...good luck tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you and praying for you too! Our clinic prefers to transfer only 2...but I 100% agree with you, I WILL NOT let them destry an embryo. If I have to transfer 3, then apparently that was in God's plan for me. Our RE will respect our wishes if we choose to transfer 3. I say do what your heart tells you to and pray about it. You will eventually come up with a decision you feel good about.

I know I missed a TON of friends...but it is getting late and I need to go to bed soon. Hello to everyone else and Good Night!
Hugs,
Jen

PMApsy – how are things going with your down regging. I hope you are feeling well. You are an amazing wealth of information. How are the rehearsals going for your show and did you get your top finished? What colour is it? For some reason I’m assuming it is red in my mind.. I would love to be able to dance – my DH is very musical and a great dancer but unfortunately I have 2 left feet  Have a wonderful day.

Steph You are in my thoughts, just try to remember the doctors are working with this every day so every decision they make is to help give you the best possible result. I’m sending lots of baby food through the web to help your eggs grow.

Jovigal I hope things go well tomorrow, I can’t wait to hear how it goes. Sleep well

Susan Welcome, I am sorry your last cycle wasn’t successful, but it is great that your Dr will let you jump straight into a FET. 10 days to go – it looks like you and I will both be having ET around the same day. I look forward to getting to know you

Jenn - great to get your plan – Starting your stims tomorrow yippie !! It is always good to be moving onto the next stage, one step closer to your goal and a BFP !!

Tanya – 7 littlie babies growing, how exciting. I think one of the hardest things about this process is not being able to control any of it and having to wait and rely on the Dr’s and the medication. It is a real test in letting go of control for a while isn’t it (something I’m not too good at!!!) lots of hugs – you are getting closer, enjoy the week off

Marszp – Look after those eggs and all the best for your exam (I hope you are studying hard !!!) What timing !!!!.

Jen – I am sorry about your SIL’s news. It is hard to deal with. My sister announced she was PG just a couple of weeks before our wedding and a few months after we found out DH reversal didn’t work. I remember trying to hide the fact I had been crying all they way to my dress fitting (she had called me to let me know when I was on driving to my fitting). I felt like I would never feel ok about it. My lovely neice is now almost 2 and is totally adorable. I now feel surprisingly ok about it all and could not imagine her not being around. It does get easier – not initially but over time you will feel better about it.

I’m starting to get a few twinges – so I know the meds are starting to do their thing and I have a blood test tomorrow morning.
It is mother’s day in New Zealand on Sunday and I have managed to organise a great surprise for my mum. In January we went away for a few days with mum & dad. While away we went to a quaint old fashioned café that mum loved and said she would love to go back to one day. Well one of the airlines had an awesome sale on tickets today and I managed to get some tickets to go up and back on Saturday. I'm going to keep it a surprise and just tell her I'm taking her out for the day but we willl fly up to Napier for the day and go to the café she loved and then fly home later that day. It should be fun and will be a great distraction as I get closer to EC next week.

Well Dancing with the Stars NZ version is on and I’m kind of getting hooked. I’ll catch up with you all tomorrow, Love to you all

Arizona - Yeah I am trying to keep in mind I would rather get just a few than none but it is real hard to stay positive my first cycyle they get 12 and second 13 mature so... hoping that like Jen said they will hit a growth spurt(sp?) and show me worried for nothing. Thanks for all the PT & best wishes. What a great daughter you are that is such a super gift for your mom I bet she will be so thrilled.Glad to hear that you are starting to get the "growing"twinges.

marsxp- I am on Gonal & Repronex I also started on the 28th.I had the same thing they were trying to stall but my hormones are saying NO to stalling so I guess I cross fingers and toes and pray they get quality over quanity.I hope you don't miss your exams and they get yours to grow.Good luck to you.

Jen779 - Thanks for positive thoughts I am so sorry your SIL seems like a *****. People like that never seem to amaze me. Just don't let it get to you.. I know that it is so hard to do but things like that bite them in the ass sooner or later.

Well Back to work will check later.. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Good morning lovelies!

How are you guys doing? I hope you're having a great day! The weather is so superb here, it's hard to complain! Yesterday, I installed the screens on all the windows, took out the patio chairs on the deck and installed the gazebo; I had lunch outside on the deck for the first time of the year! Woohoo! With my dog lying on my feet and the birds singing, the breeze playing in the young leaves.. perfect moment! I have a busy day ahead of me, but first things first!

Oh, and those of you who mentioned the dream being reassuring... well, not for me. It's a sweet thought for sure, and a sweet moment, but reassuring, no. I'm waiting to see what happens with renewed curiosity, though! ;)

arizonakiwi: down regging is going well, and I definitely start feeling the effects of Luron. I have these headaches that are not always relieved by Advil, plus the annoying spotting, plus the fatigue in the morning when I wake up. But other than that, it's fine. Still several days to go, though. But I keep myself busy and try not to count too much. Thanks so much for asking about the rehearsals, you're so sweet! :D I had one with another dancer on Sunday morning and it was reeeealy worth it. I don't really feel nervous for the moment because we fixed several problems then and I got the chance to rehearse my solo in front of her many times. I finished the top Sunday evening, late. It fits like a second skin! LOL which means that the moment I gain a pound... It's really complicated to put on with the 12 inches long fringes (it's meant to imitate a shawl... I wanted to try and make a fake one because when you use a real one to make a top, it automatically gives you a fake tummy no matter how many safety pins you use to try and narrow your waistline) but it fits and I think my teacher will like it. It's black, not red! ;) One of my skirts is burgundy and the other is rust; a red top would fit with neither! ;) Have a wonderful day too sweetheart! That surprise you have in store for your mother sounds amazing; I'm sure she'll have a great time! How thoughtful! And yay on the twinges! ;) Grow follies, grow!

marsxp: sorry to hear that your ovaries are stalling a little bit, but you never know. With these things, it can happen overnight! Be prepared for all eventualities! What's the worst that could happen after all? So you'd miss your exam... it would be a pain, but you'd have a chance to redo it a few days later; having problems with EC would be worse! I still wish that everything goes as you want it to go. Break a leg for your finals! :D

Jen: Oh sweet pea, I understand you SO much! It's always a shock for me to learn that someone I know is pregnant. Yeah, you're happy, but part of you always wishes to be the next one to give the good news... and yet another one beats you at it. And a SIL in addition... always hits harder, I totally get you. Though I understand the frustration, try not to lose perspective. Some people are the way they are and lack the maturity to change or evolve. If such petty things as getting people's attention make her feel better, let her run after it. And if she does not have the emotional intelligence to understand that pregnancy is a tricky subject for you and should deserve from extra carefulness on her part, again, it only speaks about her personality and maturity. What's going on with your desire to have kids is between you and your DH and it should stay there, even if it's hard at times. *hugs* The only thing you can do about it is prepare yourself better since you know she's not about to understand your situtation for what it is or just does not want to give up on her craving for attention and care. Thank you so much for your comments about the list!

My2LnT: Good job on the trigger shot! Grow and bloom little eggies! I'm getting more and more excited for you dear! But your other post made me confused... will you go through ER on Thursday or Wednesday after all?

TansRN: Seven babies? Oh, but that's amazing! WOW! Congratulations my dear, I'm so happy for you! *jumps up and down* Great job sweetie! I know, this is a stressful time! Wanting to have news about your babies all the time, wanting to know how fast they're growing, how many cells they are, and so on! It's a very powerless feeling. Yay about being off work; that must be a relief with the pain... *hugs* Thanks so much for the comment about the list! :) Yes, let's hope the dream was a premonition. Sometimes, they just feel different than the others, don't they? You're welcome about sharing my post-ER experience with you. That's what this forum is about anyway! ;)

jenn: thanks for the comments about the list! :) And good luck for your first injection! Piece of cake, you'll see! :D

gbnut: welcome to the nut house! :D Thanks for sharing a little bit of your story with us. I'm so sorry about your BFN... but it must feel better to keep going right away instead of having to wait. I'll be keeping everything crossed so your little frosties make their way back home safely and in super shape! :D

Okay, time to go now! Take care, and I'll be looking forward to hearing from those who went through EC today!

Hi ladies!

I'd like to join your group. I know I'm a little late but hopefully still could catch up with you guys. A little about me....I was in the March 07 thread with my 1st IVF and unfortunately got a BFN. It really hit me hard then and it took me a while to get back on my feet and try again. I have 9 frosties left of 3d embies that are of so-so quality but hopefully will turn into beautiful healthy babies. I started BCP's yesterday for my FET cycle and will be doing Lupron shots starting 5/24 (day 20) and my RE has high hopes for me...he's planning to transfer 4 this time. My frosties are mostly 6 and 4 cells. I have been reading up on everyone and I've met a few of you guys from the previous thread. I'm hoping this month is the ticket for all of us. Baby dust to all!

Hi everyone thank you all for your welcomes

Anna welcome and best of luck with your FET. I am doing a medicated cycle as well i am already on my way so slightly a head of you.

Sophie i also get headaches from DR but it does get better when you start the stims and when you get your AF. How long have you been on them??

Angela your mum is very lucky. Hope all goes well with the blood test tomorrow. What stims are you on. How is the weather in NZ at the moment??

Marsxp sounds like you will be getting your trigger real soon. alll the very best with your studying , does the studying keep you distracted from your ivf or is it the other way round???

Jen sending big hugs to you. It is hard when someone close to you announces the news, It will be you very soon and you will be doing it ofr the right reasons not to get attention.

Steph all the very best for EC tomorrow. Hope they get a nice bumper crop.

TansRN sending some positive vibes to your little embryos. hope they are dividing well.

Jenn Hope your first injection went ok.

Well not much news for me today. I went to work and came home. all the patients are really mad today and swearing at us and shouting so it is nice to be at home. Got a headache from dr drugs and very tired but apart from that everything is fine. Roll on Thursday for my next scan.

Hi to everyone else

Speak soon

Hi Everyone,

It’s so exciting that people are already starting EC and ET! I feel a little behind since my FET won’t be until June 15. I’ll just keep enjoying everyone’s posts and praying for everyone….BFP, BFP

Jenn-
I know exactly how you feel. My SIL just gave birth to her son in April. It seems like my MIL is doing a lot of the work. She actually took time off work and spent several nights at SIL house so she (or her husband) wouldn’t have to get up with the baby. Call me crazy but isn’t that part of having a baby. The baby is less than a month old and she is already dumping him off at MIL house so they can go out on Saturday nights. I know it makes me more mad than normal because I would kill to have to get up in the middle of the night to take care of my baby :D

Anna-
Welcome! Do you know when you will have your ET?

Take care,
L

Hello Everyone! Thanks for everyone's words of encouragement. It really put a smile on my face to read them.

Welcome Anna...when do you think your FET will be?

Sophie...Enjoy your nice weather. It is very short lived here in Texas. I think we only have a few weeks out of the year that is is comfortable to sit outside...then...HOT AND HUMID!!! YUCK!!!

Tanya...YEAH for your 7 babies!!! How are you feeling???

Angela...what a fun surprise for you and your Mom! I am also hooked on Dancing with the Stars too! Is it a different show there?

Marsxp...don't worry about your exam! Keep your eye on the prize!!! :D :D

Hello to everyone else!

Nothing too exciting here...just work and life. Patiently awaiting for AF in the next few couple weeks. Never know when it is coming since the miscarriage...could be early or could be late! I just can't wait to get my calendar and get the ball rolling!!!

Talk to everyone later!!!

Thanks for the welcome!

My FET is sometime mid June. I think it all depends when I get my bleed from the Lupron and then I get the daily U/S to check my lining. RE said I won't be ovulating this time and he will just time the transfer when my lining is thick enough. Then I'll be on estrogen pills and the lovely PIO shots....Is anybody doing the same protocol too? (meaning the no ovulation part?)

EEEK! am very behind and will do my best to keep up and review!

Anna - Happy to see you on this buddy group! I remember your bfn while I was cycling on the April group. We'll get there this time. My RE is also very positie about htis cycle. We are changing some things and going to transfer as many as possible :D twins tiwns and more twins!!

ltaylor - I really felt the same feelings as your post. It's amazing how easy it is for people to take for granted this amazing gift. I know this is extreme, but I just cared to a baby today with shaken baby syndorm. he'll be abnormal for life. So sad how easy it is for soem to have babies. One person in clinic commented there should be some rigorous test of sorts to be able to have a baby. Heck, I'd stay up for a week straight and eat saw dust if it meant I could hold my baby.

Susan - I so feel your pain. I used to do inpatient psych and am sooo glad to be in clinic now. But, I have a brief stay a metro state hospital coming up. It looks kindof like a haunted horror movie location....not looking forward to that!! When is your transfer??

Jen - I had a similar experience this week-end. We just found out our very good friends are pregnant - SEVEN MONTHS!!!! They felt "uncomfortable" telling us and I was absolutley shocked. They weren't even trying. They didnt' want to say anything after Chloe's death. How is this better???? Anyway, it's hard to explain the rush of emotions. I can only imagine SIL. Last time she wsa pregnant after my 2nd mc and they told us at 5 months. It is hurtful to wait so long and I can't quite figure out why that is. I know when I heard the news my chest actually felt physical pain. I cried a ton this week-end after hearding the news of our friends. Just now feeling recovered, and like you I absolutely love my little neice, now 2 yo and they are working on #2. It's hard when you've been working at somehtig for so long and I kinkof feel like a leper to my pregnant freinds. We'll get through this and it is certianly not easy. hugs to you.

Tanya - That is wonderful you get some time off. I hope the bloating is undercontrol Sounds like they are taking great care of you. Wow! What a great egg number!!

marxp - You poor dear having your finals right now! You will get that wonderful feeling of relief when they are done and then it's all about getting those embies snuggled in. Good luck on your test. Microbiology - ewww, :? I've had a few of those tests too I have 2 little boy fur babies myself. Love them to pieces. I think Wolfy to take quite a liking to yoru little girl. :D

Sophie - How are the rehearsals going? You are quite a great example of how active I really should be right now....but alas, walkign the dogs aroudn the block is my...er.. "aerobic" acitivity. I'm sure I get a heart rate aroudn 105  I want pictures iof your amazing cosutme f you can! I start downregging in about a week, so will be about 2 weeks behind you I think. I'm not looking forward to the headache or fatigue you mentioned. But, it is short lived and i usually feel great ont he stims. How is your tourista BTW? Yeah to pepto, but you might consider adding a bit of potassium supplement if you're feeling fatigued. You can lose that really easy with the relentless tourista monster. (know this from way to much personal experience! In Middle Eaet, used Pepto as a pre-appertif  ) I read about the financial restraints in your earlier post. WE're also finishing a very costly remodel and having to "buy" a baby over and over is so difficult. I think our insurance will tap out with this round. I am ready to do donor egg and have a more sure thing as I don't produce that many or a high quality. But, they really think my eggs can do it, and dh is really wnating to try with ours again. So on we go. I feel very encouraged after last visit and you have youth really on your side. (and fabulous dancing skills!!) So, BFP here we come! OUr dh won't need to sell that extra kidney they've been toting, becaue this will be our BFP cycle.

Arizonakiwi - What a great mother's day plan. We are going for a romantic week-end in Santa Barbara. I was feeling quite low for the day, but dh wants to make it special.

Steph - I loved your "bite them int he ass" comment. Excellently put (not sure excellently is a word, but you get the just.) My follies took a mega growth spurt on all my cycles at the last minute. They are so unpredictalbe. Giving your folly fairiy a kick in the @$$ so she does her job right. I'm sure you'll get a great US with a good growth spurt. It is soo common. Also, quality is just as important as quantity. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you. BTW, I think you asked about acupuncture earlier?? (Ignore, if I'm mistaken), but wanted to let you know that the best studies re acupunture are it's great benifits to uterine blood flow at time of trnasfer. They do not have enough trials yet to be "proven" for beneifits outside the transfer period. But, I'm doing it now as I don't think it can hurt and truly feel it can benifit egg growth.

TansRN - Sounds like you are having a great cycle. Glad you get some time off work. Nursing work cna be alot of time on your feet. I hope you can take it easy during your 2ww.

hrobinson - I read your post about twins. It's about all I can think about. We really want them and hoping so much. I read the twin post once in a while and dream about posting there!

Jovigal - I know how you feel about the precious little baby things bought for your little one. We also have all dd's things stored where I cant' see them. But, we'll both be bringing out the babystuff soon and getting our nursery's ready soon. I'm confused if yoru ER is todya or tomorrow. I thnk I posted wrong on our other site (minimal brain function!!) Sending you tons of prayers for ER whichever day it is!!

Bewt wishes to everyone I've missed. I'm very tired and will call it an early night! I'm checking for LH surge over the next couple days and then will start Lupron 7 days later and then stims!!!! Really geting excited and feel so good to have hope again.

xoxo

Hello
My computer went back to the shop. They are total morons up there. I am sitting here wondering how long it took them to rise to this level of mediocrity? Oh well. Anyhow. I had my last hespan yesterday and I still feel bloated as all get out and nervous about my babies!!! LOL The nurse told me yesterday that I shouldn't worry because they have a good babysitter!!! I thought it was cute. I am supposed to go in on Friday if I do not hear from them today-(which I hope I dont) I am thinking about calling later in the day though to see what is going on with them. I hope that you are doing well.....

Daly
Thank you for thinking about me. Bring on the LH surge stat! I hope that it happens so that you will be able to start your shots.

Anna
Welcome. So glad that you could join us here. Great support team! Only a few weeks and your frosties will be where they are suppose to be-in Mama's belly!!!!

Jen
I know what you mean about waiting around for AF-I hope that she comes for a visit soon so that you can get on with your life! I am still bloated and just ready to get my babies! I can't wait to go in on Friday!!!

Italyor
You are not behind at all. Anna is going to be with you it seems as well as others....We are all going to be here to cheer you on as well so dont you worry about it!!! Not much longer....

Susan
Thank you for the positive vibes-i do appreciate them! I can't wait to see the photos of my babies!!! I am really getting excited about this part.

Sophie
Thanks. It is so true it is all a time of uncertainty. I hate that part. At least I should know about what is going on soon....

Angela
You are so right about the control thing. I am not good at it either. I want it! LOL It is totally out of my hands and I guess that is what is so frustrating about it....Oh well I just keep on praying and waiting. What we do best eh? What a wonderful Mothers day gift! You are very nice to think of something so special!!! And thoughtful.

Steph
I have been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing! How are you feeling?

I will be in touch...

Hey girls-

Welcome Anna! Wow! They will transfer 4 that is great. How did you convince them to do that? I understand what you mean about it taking some time to get back on your feet after the BFN. Mine was in Oct. and we were supposed to get right back to it, and I just couldn't. I kept putting off the call. When you're ready, you're ready I guess.

Tanya~ I hope you get news on your embies soon! So you are hoping for a 5 day transfer I take it? I wish my clinic did that. I keep forgetting to ask why they don't.

Jen~ I feel for ya on the pregnant SIL thing. I have already told DH that if his brother's wife gets preg. before us, I will just lose it. He will have to lock me up for a few days!! For some reason that thought saddens me more than other family members getting preg.

Sophie~ glad the weather is nice there. It is getting hot here. I think we skip spring in the southern U.S. and go straight to HOT summer! Blah!

Not much going on here. I started Gonal and Repronex today with the small shots of lupron. Grow Eggs Grow!!!
Dh and I are planning our summer trip. I think we are going to Europe. We were going to just do Italy, but know we are thinking Paris and Rome. Any thoughts from you guys? Sophie- I know you were just in Paris. I've been to Paris but it was rainy and miserable weather so I would like to give it another chance!
Gotta go start my day! Take care everyone!
Jenn
