IVF CYCLE (MAY/JUNE buddies)

Hello all,

This is my 2nd IVF cycle and Iam on Follistim 175 IU for first 3 days of my stims and then switched to Bravalle 4 vials and menopur 1 vial. Today I had my RE visit and I see 6 follicles, less than last time where I had 12 follicles. They increased my dosage to 5 vials of bravelle and 2 vials of menopur from today. Is anyone in the same phase? Iam going to Dominion fertility in Arlington, Virginia. Does anyone know about that clinic. I willkeep you posted about my progress. I am scared how it goes this time as I have few few eggs compared to last time.

TTC 3 years
Natural Pregnancy in June 2004
Miscarried at 9 weeks and had D & C
2005 - went around clinics to know the factor
Aug 06 - IUI with Clomid - Unsuccessful
Sep 06 - IUI with Clomid - Unsuccessful
Oct 06 - IUI with Clomid - Unsuccessful
Dec-06/Jan 07 1st IVF
1/20/07 ER - 7 Retrieved and ICSI'ed, 1 fertilized
1/23/07 ET - 1 embryo transferred
2/4/07 HCG test - BFN
2nd IVF - April/May 07

Does anyone switch the stim drugs during the cycles?

Hi Sarita
I cannot help you on this because i was on follistim.I was hyperstimulated in my first cycle and it was cancelled. this time my RE lowered the dose and so my hormonal level was in control.As far as changing protocol during the cycle is concerned I have heard that some RE's do it.

sharon, were you going for ER today (Thurs)? Good luck. I hope they get lots of eggies. I had ER on Tues and they got 4 good size follies. For now, all that I know is that I have fertilization but I don't know how many or what grade they are. I go back tomorrow (Fri) for transfer.

I'm going through my first IVF cycle. I start my Lupron injections, etc. on the 22nd of May and scheduled to have an egg retrieval around June 12th.

How are you doing? I'm heading to the doctor right now to learn how to do the injections, etc. I'm so nervous and would love to have someone to talk with...

Hi Jovigal
My ER went quite smoothly. I am having some cramping now but there was no spotting which i had feared .My RE had 13 eggs retreived. They will call me tomorrow about the fertilization report.I don't know at this time wheather it is a 3 day or 5 day transfer.

hey.. You are very close to my cycle.. I start Lupron on Monday.. the 14th.. My estimated Egg Retrieval is June 4,5,6,7 with the transfer 3-5 days later!! SOOO I'll be cycle buddies with you!! Is this your first IVF ??

HI I'VE STARTED MY BUSERELIN INJECTIONS YESTERDAY 13TH MAY, I GO BACK FOR AN U/S SCAN ON 5TH JUNE. THEN WILL BE STARTING MENOPUR.
HERE'S HOPING EVERYTHING GOES WELL FOR US ALL.
