October 07 Babies

Hi All

Hope you're all keeping well.

Just a quick update - had my midwife appointment this morning. Bloods all came back perfect, my iron levels are fantastic apparently and baby is measuring perfect size for this stage and we heard the heartbeat, nice and strong. Very reassuring.

Congrats Emma on a great report! Sounds like your little one is doing super and has made his/her mommy very happy!!!! It's always makes sleep so much easier when we hear what we need.

Just a quick up-date...My husband and I went to see the OB on Tuesday and we are having a BOY.....

Janine~ Congrats on the boy in the oven!!! How exciting for you and DH. I just can't get enough of my nephews and they just seem to have a special place in their hearts for their mommies. I'm just thrilled for you!!!

To be honest we both were hoping for a girl but we are not complaining. Maybe the next on. My mom and I are going shopping this weekend to see whats out there for boys.
When might you get to know what you are having? Do you have a preference?
Cant believe we are almost to the 1/2 way point. Crazy huh.

Hey Janine~
Seems that everyone thinks we are having one of each. We think that would be great and then we could be done for good but I'm the only one that thinks it's two boys. For the lifestyle that we lead I think boys would fit in so much better and be more inclined to like the things we do but we would make it work either way.
Of course, everytime I see little outfits for girls I could just melt. I'm a little worried about girls because I have a wierd situation with my mother and didn't know her for almost all of my teenage years so I don't know what that relationship is like when it's normal. It's scary to enter a relationship that you have no experience in at all. Either way, I just hope that we have a strong close family with a solid foundation.

Half way!!!! It just seems like yesterday we started the whole thing even though it's been years of trying and tears. Funny how you can forget all the hurt just to love someone so much that isn't even here yet.

Hello! Its so exciting talking about what we'll all have. Dh and I are quite convinced its a boy but our relatives think its a girl! We have a nice name picked out for a boy but still undecided on a girl's name so naturally we both keep referring to "him"! Our health board area don't do a 20 week scan so think we are going to pay for a 3/4d scan and think we wil probably find out the sex then as don't think we can keep our curiosity under wraps!

Hey October Ladies and Gents,

Whatcha up to? Anyone shopped yet? I was naughty today and bought two little vests, 2 double pack of hats, scratch mittens and bibs...all white because I don't know what I am having. I loved every minute of it.
The babies are kicking me so much already that I know they are alright so I thought I would risk the purchases.

I think you are safe to make your purchasing. Congrats on that. Its so fun to shop. Hard to believe we are all where we are at. Its great.

We are having a BOY...I go Monday for the detailed US to make sure everything is where it needs to be. My OB has been doing US every 2 weeks so I feel pretty confident. Once Monday is over we are starting to shop and register...All the fun stuff. Come on Monday get here. Going nuts. To be honest I dont think I will totally believe this until he is in our arms...

I have my c-section scheduled for Oct 8th....

Ok..so today I am freaking out...No reason to think this as nothing has happened to make me think otherwise but I do not feel pregnant. I think I am worried about the BIG us on Monday...I just had an us about a week ago and all is great. I just have this feeling that something is wrong. I should be bigger I should be feeling something.
Does anyone else not feel pregnant??? Going crazy in Michigan

Janine! You are cracking me up! I didn't feel pg until a few weeks ago and now it's realling kicking in. I know what you mean though. If we aren't worried about something we think something is wrong! We're going to have that feeling for the rest of our lives I was told. I'm sure you baby boy is just sleeping safe and sound so relax dear and enjoy your road to becoming a mommy!

You can keep me giggling if you would like!
