6 wks pregnant, bleeding!

Post by doddo72 »

I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I have been bleeding the last 4 days. It seemed to happen two days after I stopped the estrogen patches. The Dr did an ultrasound the last three days and said everything looked good and that the baby looked fine, the heart beat was 111.

It started as brown blood for two days, then heavier red blood yesterday, and today it is lighter, in between red & brown....

Have any of you had this before? I am so scared and worried. I have been having cramps in my lower back too.

Could this be an estrogen withdrawal bleeding?

Thanks

Donna

hi hun,i also had bleeding and clots for a week at 5 to 6 weeks pregnant and i was so sure i had lost he/she,i was too early to have a scan so i had 2 blood test(4 days apart ) to check hormone levels and they came back very postive, which i was sooo stunned and shocked as i had prepared myself for the worst,a week later i had a scan and there it was a beautiful heart beat :) i am still confused as how and where the bleeding came from and i wasn't on estrogen patches, but keep positive hun u got to see bub a few days ago so all is good,i know it does'nt help worry over it but i have heard it isn't rare for woman to bleed in early pregnancy.Has the bleeding stopped? take care

Hi Donna

I bled a little from 5w5days until 6w5 days when I had a huge bleed (red, clots) scan showed I'd had bled from the uterus, outside the embryonic sac. I'm now still bleeding and having weekly scans - warrior bean looked good at 8 weeks and I have an intrauterine haematoma. No-one explained what caused the bleeding or what could happen from here on in - I'm just praying everything will work out.

If your bleeding is easing just relax and take it easy - rest. If there is no change or it gets worse - ring your clinic or go to A&E, they can scan you again and put your mind at ease.

I know it is scary - I dread going to the loo - but stay positive! This is just another hurdle!

Take care and let me know how you're doing

Hello

The er said that part of the placenta isn't attached all the way and that I have a 50 50 chance of miacarrying

They said it is only unattached a tiny bit.

Any one have this happen? How heavy was your bleeding?

I'm sorry to read your post. I am sure you are absolutely devastated. Unfortunately I have been there myself many times so I can feel your pain. I hope you will be able to find the strength to try again one day and keep the faith that you will get your wish.
