Update on me... I had 2 embies transferred today. 1 was a 7 cell that was already compacting (a good thing) that was considered a good grade (not excellent but not poor) and 1 - 4 cell that was fragmented. Sooooo, now I'm on the official 2ww. I'm off my feet today and tomorrow. BTW, I test officially on the 21st (10dp3dt).

Steph, just read your post. Don't give up yet sweetie. Embies can grow by leaps and bounds overnight. PLUS, just because they might not be EIGHT cell by day three doesn't mean it won't work. I'm still praying for you.

jenn - grow follies grow, grow, grow!

Tanya - hope all went well today.

angela - sounds like you're getting closer!!! grow babies grow!!!

coming back

Post by Literatriz »

Hi all,
I wrote a long letter after finding the time to read our lovely thread backwards - and the computer eat it up without sending it....
Felt frustrated and a few more days passed.
I am so sorry for Steph's setback - it happened to me last year and I can tell it really hurts.
But here we are, the veterans, renewed bulbs of hope trying to bloom. Dear Steph, hope you find your path to hope soon and to motherhood (one way of another) whenever hope, chance and hard work find each other.

I wish the best for all embies in the making - embriologists, take good care of the precious May/June ones!

I am gaining weight or retaining water - it works the same when it comes to dress for our now warmer weather. Monday, Lupron! I must have my period within 10 days.

Bought my tickets to Brazil. We fly on the 16th. DH is already picking names. I feel hesitant about doing that, like not wanting to challenge the odds. How immature and supersticious can we get?

In unity,

Thanks Pmapsy for the keeping the dancing follies panel! It really brings our group together. Your description of sedation-free transfer was SO impressive, hope Marsxp gets her that way, with all the suspense and good outcomes! Get ready for the stimming train!

Jovigal, I am thinking of you...you are not waiting alone for the transfer and the results...keep us posted :)

Arizonakiwi, good luck tomorrow - or is it today? How is NZ time as compared to our time?

Dear Jenn, hope little follies grow and show up!

Everybody, be well...
I need to submerge my mind in work. It makes me cope with this boring, nothing happening time.

Best wishes to all,
Literatriz

Good evening girls

Well I went in and it went well. I had 2 perfect embryos transfered. I got my little photos. My doctor said that it couldn't have gone any better. I am so happy about that. No cramping or bleeding so I am pleased about that as well. I am just sitting here all by my lonesome thinking...about the what ifs. I am sure that most of you know exactly how I feel...I am so excited and worried and one minute I am like of course it will work and the next minute I am just about bawling becuase I "just know that it didn't work"! I am a multiple personality mess!!! Why does this 2WW have to be 2W???? LOL I mean why can't they just know like right away or something??? Oh well. Just sharing my thoughts with you because DH doesnt want to hear about it AGAIN I am sure.

Steph
I am so sorry to hear what is happening about your little embryos. That is so horrible! i know that you must be feeling so devastated at this point. I can't really say a whole lot that will make you feel better about this situation but I do want to tell you that we are here to talk if you need us.

Literatriz
I know what you are talking about DH said that we can't talk about names until after 12weeks. In light of the m/c last year. He is so great and supportive. I told him I can't talk about it right now. I feel funny about it and in reality it really doesnt matter does it? I don't know I just have to wait although I want to dive in at any opportunity I can.

Mandeeq
Glad to hear that your patches are doing well. When I wore the patches I got big huge welts and I had to switch completely to Estrace orally. It was so bad I wanted to scratch my booty off! It was bad.

Jenn
Thank you so much. It sounds like things are going well for you as well with follie growth. I am happy for you that you are growing evenly on both sides and about the same size. That is great. Looking forward to seeing you progress.
Talk to you chums soon.......

Happy Early Mother's Day to everyone. I'll be out of town this week-end and wanted to say hello before I leave for our week-end holiday.

Steph - Huge hugs to you. I can't imagine your grief. I hope I didn't read that your clinic will only transfer day 3, 8 celled embies. I had a beautiful baby girl on a day 3, 4 celled embie. That is outrageous if they are so strict. Please let us know the outcome. If you have 4 celled embies, I know of many women who got pregnant on that. I did obsessive investigation when I only had 2 4 celled day 3 embies transfered. Saying special prayer for you.

JOvigal - STICKY STICKY STICKY!! Wow, you'll be testing when I start stimming.

Tanya - I could have posted the identical message when I had my 2ww last time!!! You would think science could advance to an earlier test already. (If it was men getting pregnant they'd have some day 3 breathalizer available at every store for their convenience to decrease the stress!) All I can say is somehow time goes by and poof, your happioly peeing on a stick, or if you're of the well-behaved sort that have something called "self-control" (I'm not particularly familiar with this term, but have heard of it in books) you'll wait for the bt. I hope time goes by quickly for us both. I'll be stimming when you and Jovigal are getting your bfps. Pamper yourself tons!!

Literiatriz - my dh names every embie (even the funny looking ones anyone else in their right mind would reject!) I know how it makes you feel nervous. We can't help our superstitous instincts. Brazil sounds great!

Jenn - Sending you the follie fairie. Grow eggies Grow!!

Angela - I'm so happy to hear you made if over the estrogen hurdle. Sending you prayers for a smooth ER!

Sophie - So you like to watch eh?? I look so forward to that anesthesia, I sometimes think I'm an addict! I have no probs with going under and am usually eating within 30 min's of waking up. I think my mind has such trouble stopping and I love the break. It's like Christmas morning waking up and hearing how many eggs. With my tendency to obsess, the less I know, the better!! Dh often says he'd love to konk me on the head and wake me up in 9 mn with baby in arms. (but I would miss the amazing little thumps you get from baby. can hardly wait for that) I'll be visualizing you dancing away on Sat. Your costume sounds absolutley beautiful!

Well, thank you for the LH surge wishes. I had a great smiley face on my OPK yesterday. It's on to Lupron next week. Poor dh, and we were getting along so well

Happy Mother's Day and Babydust to everyone!

Steph, wow, a big improvement since yesterday!!! I couldn't believe that your clinic wouldn't think of transferring anything below a 8cell. Just think of all of the babies that have been trashed. Anyway, I'm glad your luck has turned around. I'm so happy for ya. Welcome to the 2ww with me!!!

marsxp - sorry you got so sick. the drugs do that sometimes. welcome to the 2ww.

That is so awesome! I am so happy for you that things are looking good once again! Your embies are doing what they are supposed to do! WooHoo Good for you. Enjoy your rest and being pg.

Marsxp
So sorry to hear that you got sick. That is really no fun. I know that you will be so excited to get the phone call. LOL As we all are. When the phone rings I am knocking people over to get to it! hehe

Daly
Thank you. I know what you mean if it were men! LOL my DH says that if men had AF's then the world would shut down once a month because they cant handle the pain! LOL

As for me I am still sitting here thinking all the what if's. No major sings yet. I know it has only been 24 hours but I am still on the lookout! I am of course worried about everything!

steph - I am so pleased for you, as I was reading the posts to catch up, I was devasted to read that they were only going to transfer 8 cell for you, but it has all turned out good so I won't harp onto much about how ridculous (sorry spelling) yr clinic is about their rules!!! Good luck on your 2ww :D

Tanya / Jovigal - good luck on your 2ww - I know what you mean about wish you could find out in a jiffy - those weeks have got to be the only time when time physically feels like it stands still.

Marsxp - sorry you felt bad during EC, although I am surprised they didn't tell you how many eggs - boy I would be on the phone demanding to know..

Daly - me too - love going under - its like 8 hours sleep in 15mins!!

We had our follow up yesterday and again no real reason for not getting a BFP - I'm obviously a low follie producer and they couldn't continue the stimms because I had one or two follies which were too big and therefore were a risk. Any how, they want me to go on a short protocal with which starts with day 1 of AF. As AF is due, this meant starting literally next week and I would be in EC/ET in about 2ww  wasn't prepared for that one!! So we have decided not to go ahead with this month due to work commitments etc but leave it for June AF if the cycle is so short. So I will be going thru EC/ET approx the same time as if I had started my cycle this month with a long protocal - very odd!!

Still waiting for AF - as usual late again and June it is!!

Hope everyone is well

quick post!

Steph, I will be SO HAPPY to add you to the 2ww section on the list! WOOHOO! Those embies look nice! At my clinic, embryologists don't do grades, they say it's only good for studies and it stresses parents-to-be unnecessarily. For them, embryos are either good for ET, or not. I prefer it that way!

Okay, off to the theater for tonight's show! Tata!

Hi Every one

My scan on Friday went ok. DH came with me for my and it was lovely to have him there beside me. I have 3-5 eggs on each side that were 11-12mm. There were also about 20 + smaller ones. I have another scan tomorrow morning (Monday) and I hope the bigger ones plus a few extra are up to size so I can trigger on Monday night. I just want to know they aren’t going to cancel it again. I am feeling a little anxious because I know if all those little eggs start growing my estergon levels will rocket up again but ideally I would like them to be able to get 12 or so eggs out so we have some options, because we are using Testicular sperm that has been extracted and frozen they have said fertilisation may 50% lower. I know it only needs one to work but I like to have options and I am not a betting person….
I had a nice trip up to Napier yesterday – mum was totally surprised and the ladies at the little café made a real fuss of her and made her feel special which was nice of them.

Sophie: all the best for the show tonight – It would have been a fun outing for all us girls here to come and see you preform.

Nimble – Gland you have your programme all sorted out and you won’t be any further behind than you would have to begin with. I hope the next month goes quickly so you can get started

Tanya – Yippie !!! 24 hours down – now make some plans for the next couple of weeks so you have something else to think about and focus on some of the time. It will help time pass. Perhaps pull out all those photos and work on putting them in albums….

Marsxp – That doesn’t sound fun at all. But I hope you get a report today of a good number of eggs that are all fertilizing nicely.

Steph – Isn’t this a huge rollercoaster. Your last few messages bought tears to my eyes – I am so pleased your embies caught up. They have a strong will to survive. You are on your way girl !!!

Jovigal – I hope you are doing well – like I said to Tanya make some plans for the next couple of weeks so you have something else to think about and focus on some of the time.

Daly – I hope you have a wonderful break

Literatriz – At present it is 8.30 am on Sunday morning – I think that would make it about 12.30 or 1.30 pm on Saturday in LA (it depends on day light saving in each country). I always deduct 4 hours of California time and then add a day to get NZ time. Just a couple of days until you start your meds – are you looking forward to it? Are you going to Brazil for a holiday on the 16th May or is it something to look forward to in a few months? My DH has had pet names picked out for 4 years now. Soda-pop and Zoro (yes there are long stories behind the 2 names…. and yes I am really worried he will call them those names for ever………)

Jenn – How are you doing? I hope you had a good weekend way. Good luck with the sacn on Monday

Have a lovely Sunday / Saturday every one

Hey gang
Still waiting. Ho Hum. Still here with my thoughts....Anyhow I did go and buy a wave runner today. I have wanted one for so long and it was a deal I couldnt pass up even if I can't ride it for a long time! lOL I am so darn excited about it that I can hardly stand it. It should be tons of fun. My grandma lives on a lake and we spend the whole summer over there and my parents have a boat so we all hang out together. Now I have my own machine! Fun fun

Angela
So glad that your scan went well. I am happy for you and I am hoping that you get the eggies that you want. I know what you mean about wanting to have options. I want that as well. I really get your drift....

Sophie
We want to see your photos!!! Woo Hoo dance girl dance!!! I can't wait to hear how it goes for you. I hope that things go off without a hitch.

Nimble
You are so right about time standing still. It is so true. It really is.
