Kat- sweetie what a difficult time the coming months will be for you. As it is so 'in your face' the only thing to do is to feel the heart wrenching pain and embrace the situation. You can't help but feel envious. my neighbour has just told me she's 13wks preg and this is her 3rd. She only wanted 2 and this one was an 'accident' ! It is so difficult but it sounds like your friend is an understanding person and she feels for you. I feel the same as Ali/Bev does keep in contact and ask the questions about there pregnancy. We do it here on this site all the time. Words and advice are easy to give but i totally feel the same heart wrenching pain your talking about. Sending you much love x x
Hope those on 2ww are holding up well...KEEP THE FAITH xx

Hi ladies, sorry haven't posted in a while. Always thinking of you all though.
Kat, my heart goes out to you. Sending you some PMA. Don't you dare 'give up' on anything. Life deals us all kinds of sh*t......you are an incredibly strong lady and you shouldn't feel guilty about the feelings you have at this time, they are perfectly understandable. Mega hugs to you xx
Sorry I don't have time for personals today, my brother arriving soon, hopefully to babysit as DP and I go out together without Matthew for the first time! I want to cook him something nice to say thanks.
To those on 2ww, all the very best of luck.
Hi to all here, will try to catch up properly soon

Ali & Geckogirl: I hope your 2 ww is going well. Your test dates will be here before you know it. It is time for some more pregnant ladies to be part of our board.
Kat: I'm sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with your friend being pregnant. Don't give up, as you have another IVF coming up. This one could be the one for you!
Catharine: Good luck on your next appt.
Jen: I hope you have fun at your party.
Anna: I hope you and Matthew are doing well. DH and I went out for my birthday for the first time in 2 months!!! It was nice, but I did miss the little guy. However, since my parents were watching him, I did not worry.
Bev: I hope you and Wills are doing well. Has he started sleeping through the night yet? The most Andrew has slept is 5 hours at a time. I can live with 5 hours though. The challenging part is going to bed around the same time that he does. Last night I put him down at 8:30 pm, but did not go to bed myself until 11:00 pm. He got up at 1:30am.
Yasmina: Does Eloise sleep through the night yet?
Hello to everyone that I have missed.

I know I am not supposed to be here writing since I am at work. I could not help crying reading those kind words from all of you. Yes, we are blessed that Eloise does not have down syndrome or anything else related to my aged eggs. I still remember too well how long the journey was and how nervous I was before she was born. I can not imagine how I could survive without this site. Thanks all!
Bev, Eloise was born Feb 20 which is 4 days earlier than due day. She lost her baby look at week 2 and now she looks like 6 month old, I joke to people that is because she has an 45 year old mother! Was Wills born 3 weeks prior to his due day?
Anna, DH and I went to watch Browdway show "Mama Mia" and then out for dinner last Sunday night. It was the first time we went out without Eloise also. We had good time although I had called 3 times home. Have fun!
Tammy, I was going to comment on your big glasses last time but I forgot. I wear contact lens but I rather stay blind when I am home. Eloise grabs everything, necklace, hair, and cloth. I was told babies who came out by C-sections are very insecure.
Yes, Eloise normally sleeps from 10 pm to 6 am. She started at the 7th week, I think. In the past two weeks, I had fed her with her eyes closed in the middle of the night, but I have not done that in the last two days and am going to keep it this way. Oh, I don't use night lights, I don't know whether the complete darkness is the reason for her to sleep through the night.
Ok, back to work now. Next time!

I don't wear big glasses! That was my mother in the photo. I wear contacts and at home I sometimes wear small frames.
I'm jealous !!!!!!! Andrew does not sleep more than 5 hours. Sometimes it is only 4 hours. I keep it fairly dark, but I do have a small dim light on in the corner of the room and a nightlight in the bathroom for diaper changing.
Eloise is 8 days older than Andrew. He is big, but does not have a lot of hair. It is coming in better now, but is just thin.
I saw Mama Mia and it was great!! We took my 10 year old niece and she loved it.

Hi everyone
I'm trying to occupy myself and my mind at the moment but not very successfully! The trouble is as soon as start doing something I feel like my stomach is straining and pulling. Also, my dog managed to jump on my stomach yesterday which freaked me completely - I have been trying to be so careful. I have low gripey pains in my stomach this morning - not feeling good but trying to stay positive. The wait is really getting to me this time - I know it's not long till tuesday but it feels like years away. Not sure whether to buy a home test kit??
Geckogirl- how is it going for you? Hope you are doing well.

Ali - if you buy a hpt you will probably end up stressing about that aswell. I have always tried to hold out for as long as poss but the earlier you test, if it comes up negative, the more you think "is it too early, is it really negative, if I test again will it be different etc etc" and it really does your head in.
What you are feeling could be good signs or they could be bad - you really can't tell one way or the other, I had cramps and was pg and cramps and wasn't. Also, your embies are like peas in a pot of honey - you can't shake them out no matter what - so I wouldn't think your dog jumping on you will have done any harm at all. Don't worry! Easy for me to say I know but it's true. Hang in there.

Try to resist the urge to do a HPT. They are often so wrong and the for sure test is the blood test anyway. I know how you feel though. I am feeling similar crampy pains on and off. I had them for three days after transfer and then they went completely away for almost two days and now they are back. I know it can be normal but it makes me worry. My ovaries ache too. Do yours? And I have had a bad lower back ache since 3dp3dt that just seems to get worse. I am so worried that AF will show up before my test date on Thursday. It sure feels like it today. I am trying to hang in there though. Take care.
Hi Kat & Geckogirl
Thank you both so much for you mails - it does help talking all this through to people who actually understand what you are going through.
I have had a bad day today - emotionally- I woke up feeling really down and worried and just couldn't shake it off. A friend rang me and said those fatal words "how are you doing" and that was it floods of tears and then my Mum rang and the same again - what a mess, bloomin hormones! I went for a walk this afternoon with my friend and her little girl and the dogs and I feel a bit brighter now although I have to confess I did buy a HPT this morning. I will try not to use it after your advice, these last few days are really tough though, roll on Tuesday.
Geckogirl - that's really weird you should say that I was just talking to my friend about the pains I have had today and I said it feels similar to the pain you sometimes get when you ovulate but both ovaries. She said she still got pains eventhough she was pregnant so let's hope we will both have BFP's this week.
I don't think my AF can show at the moment because when I had the injection to put everything on hold it is supposed to last for 45 days and that was about 35 days ago, I just have all sorts of rumblings and gripey feelings.
Take care

Ali - Hang in there! I too have had some bad moments. Sometimes I feel like I am kidding myself that I can actually become pregnant at my age, and at other times I still feel hopeful especially when I see pictures of the other over 40 mom's babies! I can't help but feel that we all deserve to be moms and that somehow we can make it happen. Doesn't help that tomorrow is Mother's Day here in the states....
I too have an evil pee stick at the back of the drawer that I will only use if DH wants to know in advance of the blood test on Thurs. Either way it will be a anxious day.
My symptoms are all over the place- backache, ovary pain, light cramps but no nausia yet. I doubt that I will get AF because the PIO shots are very effective in holding off AF. It usually starts 2-3 days after stopping the shots. Although, I do feel like it's about to start.
Ali and Geckogirl, hang in there my dears. I know it is easy for me to say as I am not going through it, and I certainly did not practice what I preach. I did a pee test at 12 days post 2 day transfer and made my DH read the result. Luck was on our side as it came up a faint positive - much to my surprise. I too had the gripey pains on and off. You just cannot tell from the symptoms. I am sitting here praying and wishing that you both get to have your dreams come true. xxx to you both.
Tammy, we gave William a feed at 8pm last night an hour later than usual, timing was put out as his last feed while we are "up" is normally 11pm, but we didn't want to wait up until midnight to give him his last feed, so we went to bed at 10pm and he didn't wake up again until 4.30am! He had gone 8.5 hours without feeding. Needless to say, he was ravenous. He then went back to sleep again until 8.15am. I have to say it has given us a boost we both needed. Lets hope he continues in the same way.

Sorry Yasmina, my pc cut the last bit of my posting off!
Where were we, oh yes, Wills was born 4.5 weeks early and although he was a good weight for his gestation, he did look very small and had that premi baby look to him for some weeks. I think he looks a similar size and age to Andrew now, although there is some 4 weeks between them. Bearing in mind his due date was the 24th of Feb, he should really have been similar age to both Andrew and Eloise! He will be getting weighed at his monthly clinic appt. on Wednesday, so I will have more of an idea how he is doing, although I am guessing he must weigh over 13 lbs now (similar weight to Andrew and Eliose?).
I think all three of you have done really well to go out for a night out and leave your little ones with family. I have not had the opportunity to do so yet as I don't have any family close by. However, I haven't felt ready to do it either. We have been out to friends a couple of evenings though and Wills has slept in his moses basket for nearly the whole evening.

Geckogirl and Ali, I always come on internet more often than other times when I was on 2ww. In the meant time, I did constant peeonsticks. 15th and 17th will come soon. Good luck!
Tammy, I read it somewhere: in order to get the baby sleep through the night, try not to change diapers during the night. So, I stopped doing so unless Eloise cries - she is a VERY clean girl, she definitely tells me whenever she has dirty diapers, which only happened once or twice since her 7th week.
Bev, Wills's adjusted age is the same as Eloise. So, you are right, Wills, Andrew, and Eloise are very close in age! Thanks for your update.
