Quita, I know - isn't it strange how your shape keeps changing, even within the same day!!! My bump gets MUCH bigger towards the evening - even 10 weeks ago I had a big, big evening tummy. This is a "middle of the road" picture - a tiny bit bigger than my morning bump but def. smaller than what it looks like in the evening :D

Buying clothes for the future is SOOO hard right now. It's impossible for me to imagine what the shape and size of my tummy will be in, say, three weeks. I'm having wedding-attire anxiety too - my cousin's getting married in June but I think I'll have to buy last minute to be sure to get a big enough size that fits my bump but doesn't look like a tent... It's especially hard now as I've stayed pretty small until a couple of weeks ago - and all of a sudden got the feeling that now the serious expanding has begun and there's no stopping it :)

have a happy week, ladies!

Hey Ladies

Rae: Oohhh you are really starting to show! How exciting!

Fiji: I worried all the time about my babies. Especially as sick as I have been. I hope they are still ok! Here .is a great websites to calculate your due date etc http://www.ivf.ca/calcu.htm according to it you are 5weeks and 4 days!

Kia: I am still alive and try to take care of the babies! Some days are better than others!

Marcia: conrats on the sweet lil one! Great U/S Pic. Sorry that your nurse was a grump! That just sucks! Maybe this isnt the best line of work for her!

Miss Piggy: i dont think my husband would have survived that comment! Actually my husband said he is exhausted watching me be sick. The poor guy! He had to clean out the car after I got sick in it so pay back is a B**CH! Hee Hee

Q: I am soo sorry to hear about your sisters marriage. That is horrid. I agree with you you need to concentrate on you right now. Your body is working overtime to take care of those 2 babies. I definatley am bigger at night than I am during the day. I wonder why that is? I think our stomach muscles just get tired by the end of the day! Good luck dress shopping. You should wait until the week of for sure! No telling what those twins will do!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. It has been a crazy week. I have started to feel a little better. At least I can eat now between the waves of nausea! I still have a headache but they gave me some meds that are working. Is anyone else as tired as I am? I also had to take a class at the end of the week and I had to have the class done for my work by June 1st so I could not miss it! It was a really tough 2 days but I made it through without puking on anyone. I did get sick in my car on the way home but at least it wasnt in public! I just keep telling myself that I can make it through this time and in only a couple more weeks I will feel much better. I think I have another scan this week. I think on Friday so I cant wait for that. I really hope the babies are ok!

Love to all!

Hello ladies!

Rae - nice baby bump!!!

Miss Piggy - my DH wouldn't dare........ You gotta love them though.

Sonya - hope you are hanging in there. I have not felt ill (yet) but there is still plenty of time.

Marcia - some people should not be allowed to be nurses - did you tell her to go back to bed and get out the right side next time?

He he - I have been laughing at your comments about your bumps being bigger at night. I have ALWAYS had a bump and this is not a baby bump! This bump defintely gets bigger when I pig out on food but I think it is a bit bloated at the moment from all those hormones....
Having said that - when do you start putting on weight - I have remained about the same as usual - it is just my stomach looking bloated.
As for us - I have a conference to go to next week so will be missing in action from here.
The first scan was meant to be the day I get back but it is pushing it time wise so it will be Monday 28 May. Can't wait!!!
Feeling fine at the moment - waiting desperately for some symptoms. Still do not feel pregnant.
Barbs - New Zealand. 33

1st IVF attempt - BFP BFP BFP!
Miscarried at 10wks 5 days

:D  :D Ten Weeks and Six Days :D  :D

Hi, Seeing the mid wife for the first time tomorrow. She is coming to my home! Very exciting. I think it is mainly to do with down syndrome screening as is west sussex's protocol - but I will let you know.

I am hoping I might get a second scan some time before the twins are born. Need to know they are both still alright. My first one was at 7 weeks 5 days feels like month ago!

Waiting to hear news about my sister. Its very complicated but basicly she has been in a very unhappy relationship for the past 13 years and we have all had to ride along with her. She married him three years ago?!!! And they they have two kids 9 and 6. It has finally come to ahead and she has left him. She is now renting and paying haf the mortgage on his house! And they had agreed to share the child care.

But we have this massive family holiday booked on account of my mum getting married to a lovely man who is English - but they are doing it in Greece.

My sis husband had agreed to have the kid because "there was no way he wanted to go on a family holiday with her family - it bad enough at Chrsitmas. And why would anybody want to go to Greece in the first place blar blar blar" Lovely man.

Only now if course she has left him and he has sunddenly decided with five weeks to go that he won't have the children for her. I think hoping that it will mean she can't go.

So my mum is now franticly trying to convince the airline to let the children travel. My sister will be on the same plane, but the holiday was sold as a package and the hotel is all booked up!

However my wonderful mum has phoned the hotel directly and they have agreed to put two extra beds in any of the wedding parties rooms for the kids. So now the airline have to agree. Ahhhhhhhh

Quita, that sounds terrible. It's so sad when the divorce goes really sour and adults start behaving like children. I hope you guys can still have a lovely family vacation and a great wedding!

Barbs, in reference to your weight-gain question: by 16w3d I had gained 4 pounds in all. (By now I've probably gained plenty more but I only get weighed at my doctor's office). So it doesn't necessarily happen overnight...

Nims, OMG that's wonderful news!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm soooo happy for you!!! Isn't it amazing how miracles really do happen... :D

When that happened to me, I called my clinic - probably just because I knew they routinely do betas and I had also been in close contact with them for some time. So I was seen by my RE and was later released to my OB's care, but I guess I could have gone with my OB right away too. I think you should call the one you'd rather see now - and if that's your RE (fertility clinic), you can either wait before calling your OB or let him/her in on your good news right away.

Oh sweetie, enjoy the feeling - that is so great!!! I'm tearing up here....

thank you - I'm still smiling :D :D :D

I decided to ring my dr's who have said booked me in with the mid-wife (8 wks) and then after that inform the clinic. I guess she wants to make sure that all is ok before telling the clinic just in case i need to go back (also my next cycle was due to be NHS so wondering if she is also protecting that??).

however having quite alot of spotting today so when I spoke to them they have booked me in for an early scan (my clinic didn't do betas anyway) just to make sure all is ok - just extremely anxious at the mo about it all.

As you all are way ahead of me, did any of you experience brown spotting in the early stages??

Nims,
I had brown spotting in the fifth week. My RE said it's very common to get spotting around the same time your AF would have come. She was not concerned at all and said only to worry if it is bright red and continuous. I know it is nerve wracking but I'm sure you are fine!! When is your scan? I'm so so so so excited for you!

:D  :D Eleven Weeks and One Day :D  :D

Nimble I think most of us did. I got two lots on day 10 and on day 15 if its brown its good. Best of luck.

Rae and Sonya The holiday is sorted!!! The airline have charged my mum £780.00 the same as if the two children were adults and having their own room and adult price food (half board) which we all think is a cheek considering they have have got most of the 41 people booked as a package through them and must be making tens of thousands of pounds out of us. But at least they are coming!

Can't wait to see them. I'll actually have someone sober to talk to.

In answer to your tired question yes I am generally much more tired than usual. I have a nap nearly everyday.

You poor thing being so ill you puked in the car. Thats horrible. Hope you start feeling better really soon.

I saw the mid wife yesterday for the first time. She took blood and urine to do most of the same tests they have already done. Gave me my bounty pack - very exciting. Took lots of details and finally booked me in for my second scan. It's next week on wed at 3.20 can't wait!!!!
