Jovigal - I haven't given in to the evil HPT yet, but it is lurking at the back of my bathroom cabinet calling me! I might do it on Wed. or Thurs. morning before the blood test just to kinda know... Also, don't know if this is the same as you are experiencing, but I have had additional discharge - not like a yeast infection- but like egg white. I think it is from all the meds. If you are uncomfortable you should take the advice of your doctor and use something to help you feel better.

DH and I planned some camping on the coast for next week. We have a trailer and take our little dog with us. No matter what happens after the blood test, it will be nice to just be together and plan for the next steps.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Ali - Good luck tomorrow! I am praying for a strong BFP!

geckogirl - your camping trip sounds nice. I sorta did some plans myself for JUST IN CASE to help me cope, going to Vegas to see my band, Bon Jovi. I know he'll rock the grief out of me. Of course, if I get good news, I'll be celebrating!!!! (no drinks of course)

hi girls, hope u dont mind me joining in.... im in the 2ww and i must say ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY this time... i dont know y its harder this time although i never had to use a progesterone gel before and on the 'very common side affects' list is a comment about feelings of unworthiness and depression etc... weird... its like im manic - feelings of real happiness but then if anything goes rong i get all teary
anyway, this is my 3rd attempt at ICSI... the first one went terribly wrong and i ended up with septicaemia - horrible experience so we promised ourselves that we'd never do that again... but as we know time heals and we had one embryo left so we decided to give it another shot and thank God we did coz we got a beautiful little boy out of it!! so this is our 3rd try... its a fresh cycle but unfortunately we only got one embryo but as they say and i can speak from experience is that 1 is all it takes!! :D
i test on the 21st and im so nervous... i thought it would have been easier this time round but anyway just wanted to say a BIG goodluck to u all (and sorry for the long post lol)
luv d :)

Hi Girls hope you don't mind if I join you. This is my 2nd ICSI cycle and I had 2 embryos ( 1 x 7 cell, 1 x 5 cell - 3 day) transfered last Friday with my BT on the 24th. Like you I absolutely HATE this part of the process - actually I Hate the whole process!

So what are we all doing to make this time go faster???? Any suggestions?

Wow! It's nice to see so many new people here. Boy does the wait drag though......

Jovigal - I took the dreaded HPT and really wish I hadn't -BFN......I don't even want to do the beta test on Thursday but I will. Looking forward to a giant martini Thursday night then DH and I need to talk about what is next. Seems foolish to spend 25K on a donor cycle when it appears that I rejected really high quality embryos of my own but adoption is soooo hard in California.

Hang in there everyone. I am sure there will be lots of BFPs for us to celebrate!

I am on the 2ww following first FET May 4, 2007 after first failed IVF (chemical).

Blood test 1 was on Monday 5/14 I go again tomorrow for 2nd Beta blood test (5/16).

Probably won't find out until the afternoon at work. Last time I got my bad news at work re: low beta numbers-so I am trying really hard to stay positive.

Since the first IVF. Sore boobs, eating more (just enjoying doing something that gives me pleasure-since everything else is off limits)

Hoping for a miracle

Me 37-no problems (that we know of)
DH (Varicoecle/low count/damaged sperm).

I can't wait to hear everyone's updates. Will update everyone tomorrow afternoon when I hear.

Hi everyone
Sorry to say I don't have good news - we had our BT yesterday morning and received a phone call around lunchtime telling us it was negative. This was our second attempt and we had taken the clinics advice and gone for donor eggs as they said I was such a good candidate - I guess not after all. The specialist then rang me back later on and wants to see us next week as we have 2 frozen embies. He said he would like to do an ecograph - any ideas what this is? I was too upset to ask too many questions yesterday.
Also, sometimes it's so difficult having the treatment here as some of the doctors don't speak any/much english and although I can get by in Spanish - I'm not so good on such intricate details and this is all soooo important.
Geckogirl - Best of luck and everything crossed for you tomorrow
Waiting - hope all went well yesterday and you have some good news for us.
To everyone else on the dreaded 2WW, try and take it easy - we all know how difficult it is but hopefully you'll will have some good news for us soon and it will all be worth it. Take care everyone and lots of luck ....

Hi Ladies,
Well we have just gone through our 2nd attempt this time with ICSI, have also been on 2ww and just done a test this morning (we're given hpt by clinic) and it was BFP! So please have faith, i didn't really all the way threw, very up and down, but DH was very supportive and positive.
Best of luck to you all who test soon.

welcome danica, and yes it does only take one.... you know? we should make that our new motto around here... :) We'll be testing the same day, I feel BFP's in the air everywhere!

emmaobrian - Wow, Congrats on your BFP!!!!!! was that with a hpt or bw?

Ali - so sorry about your BFN, (((HUGS)))). I've never heard of an echograph. I don't believe my clinic does those.

geckogirl and Waitinng - anxiously awaiting for your news......

marsxp - sounds like you have 2 excellent little ones snuggling in. Take it easy but try to stay busy if you can.... not easy done I know.

Welcome Tenny - welcome to the nuthouse! :) Staying busy? I like doing light gardening, I love my flowers. Reading is also good. Just take it easy and let those babies take up residence.

I had posted the following on a couple of other threads but wanted to share with my friends here at the nuthouse. Hey gals. Well, I decided to buy some hpts so I did my "control" test yesterday to make sure the hcg was gone out of my system and it is now. Soooo, I may test again Friday morning. I'm not feeling as positivie this time as compared to last. Although I did feel some 'twinges' alittle bit the past 2 days, I've not had the groin pain, like a muscle pulled like I did before. But, honestly, I'm ok if it doesn't work. I've got so much to be thankful for. Life could be so much different for us but we are blessed... :) I think we all get so wrapped up in this IVF craze that we forget how lucky we really are. For some reason, when we start the IVF process, it's like the IVF demon  takes over our bodies and that's all we can think about and live for, but it's not. Just a thought for today, think about how blessed you are, be thankful for every healthly breath you take, be thankful for life itself...... ( I just feel so devotional today and wanted to share....)

I hope you guys have a great day.

emma - congratulations on your BFP........ i am so happy for you!!!!

to the new members - welcome!!!!

i have a question. I'm 2dpt and last night i started feeling my left side hurting... im not sure if it's my ovary or my uterus..... it's bearable but it's just there and sometimes annoying to have a constant pain.... you think this is implantation or it's too early? when do you think implantation should be???

thanks a lot!!!
