our grandaughter just turned 2. we love her so much and
it has been so wonderful having her live with us for the last year.
what do you do about the fits when she doesnt get her way..
i know so much about teenage boys but am feeling so helpless with our 2 year old.
i know we have spolied her.
but when she cant have what she wants she will scream and hit her head with her hands.
so what do we do........................................
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!
My twins are nearly 2 (july), but Charlotte hit the terrible 2's early - just after christmas.
I assure you that having temper tantrums is perfectly normal at this age - they are trying to push the boundaries to see what they can get away with. And Charlotte cannot get away with everything or have all the attention because I have her brother Thomas to consider too.
Different people handle them in different ways, and It may sound awful but i have found the best way to handle them is to ignore them. Charlotte throws herself on the floor and kicks her legs and screams for all she is worth at times - but if we carry on as normal around her then she usually gives up after a few minutes. Have you tried that?
If you go to the pampers website they have lots of advice on this stage there - i think.........................
Love and good luck
