Denise, sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. Hoping you feel better soon. Is it the pain thing or ms?

MumtoJazzie, very impressed you can fel them aready that must be amazing. Can't wait till that happens. Love to jazzie - 7 is the best age!

Tam, So sorry for you loss. Very glad baby A is doing so well. What is it about bacon and pregnancy - everyone is at it!

I know its silly about the 12 week thing it like I think something is going to change on that day - which of course it won't. Can't wait to have a second scan now to check everything is ok.

Denise – sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling to good, do hope you have had a chilled out weekend and feel much better now. Thanks for changing the list it looks fab by the way.

Tams – sorry to hear about baby B, but so glad to hear that baby A is doing just fine.

Mumtojazzie – OMG you can feel movement already, that’s amazing, it must be wonderful!

Quita – ten weeks and 5 days, your nearly at that 12 week point. I hear what your saying about nothing will change on that day, but its another mile stone passed honey. Have you been given your dating scan yet? I’m still waiting to hear from a midwife.

Well I’m still totally symptom free, no M/S, no nausea, no cravings, no going off any foods, the only thing I have got is that my boobs have grown by 2 cup sizes which DH find very amusing!! And apart from constantly feeling tired, but work doesn’t help that either as I’m on my feet all day long.

Do hope everyone else has had a lovely weekend

Love to all

Hi guys,
I had my second scan with RE on May 7th, everything was perfect. Baby measured 8weeks5days. So, I am officially released to my OB and I am off my PIO shots. Well, Friday I fell face first on the stairs. I called the OB they said baby is protected this early and not to worry unless I have bleeding/cramping. Well, today I am 9weeks 5 days and I see the OB on Friday the 18th (I will be 10 weeks 2 days) will he be able to hear the heartbeat? If not, I am going to a private clinic for an ultrasound. I can't take the worrying. I wish I was back at my RE... What do you guys think?

Reward-
I totally hear you. I miss the attention I got at my RE. I was released after my 8 week ultrasound and I've been counting down the days until my first OB appointment. It's tomorrow and I will be 11 weeks and I'm also very anxious to hear the heart beat. I have been dreaming about it!! I just want to know that everything is ok in there because some of my m/s has started to go away and when I feel better I worry. Such strange logic, I know.

I was told that the OB can hear the heart beat anywhere from 10-12 weeks so it's up in the air whether you or I will be able to hear it. I'm hoping he can find it no problem but I am going to try to remain calm if it takes a while. I feel like after tomorrow's appointment I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and start spreading the good news. IT can't get here soon enough!!!!!

hi all...........hope everyone is ok
I am now 8 weeks & 4 days & boy is the time dragging...........

We have our 1st appt tomorrow with our gp to get referred to a midwife with the lovely NHS.........

BONUS RESULT-i have participated in a womens survey in the southampton area a couple of years back....basically they carried out several studies, 1 of which was a study of protein in urine(was not pleasant as I had to collect all uring samples & record all food intake for 2 days!!) anyway they said to let them know if I fall pregnant.....

I phoned them up today to see if survey still going & they said yes but budget for pregnancy now finished but would check if they could squeeze me in & yippee...they did :D

What this means is that instead of waiting for scans through the NHS they will do all my scans and my 1st scan(plus nuchal) is bookde in for mon 11th June(13w 4days) I do not get anything extra but as they have their own scanning suite I get peace of mind in that my appts are controlled by them & no waiting etc.etc........Im so excited..........am so used to things going wrong -this is a nice surprise.they are sending me all the info today so look forwards to seeing if there any more perks!!

Have a good evening all

KIA Im sure everything is fine some women have none at all and the boob thing is great mine have gone up one size and i love it.
TAMS im sorry for your loss a similar thing happened to us early on, but i belive these things happen for a reason.
QUITA Im sorry for your troubles with your sister its hard because you want to be there for her but you have your babies to look after. Your post made me laugh abot my name sounding mature well when i was trying to register every name i put it was taken and i had just got married, I know what you are saying about 12 weeks i always thought i would relax more once i hit that mark but i will still worry.

I have my 12week scan on wed and i can't wait i have a nice little bump now which is even there in the morning now but it is alot bigger in the eveing, if all is ok on wed i get sent back to the NHS i have even let myself start looking at baby things. My craving at the moment is cheesy wotsits can't get enough of them.

Hola ladies!

Sarah - I'm with you, time is like at half speed! I'm 8 wks 6 days and its going so slowly, surely it must be 12 weeks by now?? it is a top result on the scans thing, no waiting NHS to sort it out....

Mrs B - am so jealous that you are almost 12 weeks!!! Good luck for wednesday! Hmmmm, wotsits, not a bad craving. My craving is cake, plain sponge cake. People at work are getting suspicious as I always have a bumper packet of chocolate madelines under my arm, like a crack dealer.

Steph - good luck at tomorrow's appointment

Reward - it would be great if we special ivf-er mums to be could just have ad hoc scans whenever we felt the need. Or even have a home scanner that dh could use. Good luck for friday!

Kia - you lucky thing! Big boobs but no nausea! Man, not even my new bouyant breasts make up for the constant sickness, but could be worse, I could be craving coal or something. Are you still doing the long shifts? You need to make sure you're getting enough breaks and rest - I know its difficult sometimes when you're busy but you have to put yourself and junior first.

Quita - you are almost there at the magnificent 12 week mark, not that far to go. Have you got a bump yet? Man, I cannot wait to have a bump! Cannot wait to shop for maternity gear!

Tams - sorry to hear about baby B - how're you feeling? You still have premier Bean, lord of the uterus! How's your nausea? Pret was brave - I can't even sniff outside without problems..

How are the other ladies? Hope everyone is happy and well.

I've got another scan tomorrow as I'm still bleeding a little so I get to see the Ninja Bean - hopefully everything will be ok, I get pretty nervous before each scan. Like all of you here I cannot wait until the magic 12 weeks. Though I think I will probably be an unholy nightmare patient until I stop bleeding... or until its born....
What's everyone doing about nuchal translucency scans and triple tests? I'm a bit confused by it all but guess that at my advanced age (.....) I need to have all of them.

Ok, I'm off to brave the kitchen, eughhhhhh

Love, Lola

Hello, I am new to this group, I know some of you from the march cycle group! But I just found this group and would love to join!!! Anyway Im Due Dec 17th, I've had my first scan April 26th and i was able to see and flickering heartbeat, I am still on the progestrone shots until my next and final scan at my clinic which is on May24th, then I follow up with my OB on June 7th but Im thinking about changing that to a later date because I don't like the idea of having to many vaginal ultrasounds too close together, I dont want to mess with the baby more then i need to!! Im weird but hey whatever! ok what else......Im not having "morning sickness" but I feel hungover all the time, I havnt thrown up but I get sick thinking of some foods and I just feel crappy, I have bad headaches, I have REALLY bad heartburn and that's about it, just feeling pretty lazy!!! I think that's it about me!!!

Update&Double test

Post by Hazel73 »

Hello ladies,
I am in week 10 and glad to see that everybody is doing well! I did not have much of a morning sickness until now, which was somehow a worry, but yesterday I almost throw up and I just told myself 'be careful what you wish for'. Meanwhile, I am also quite nervous until the second scan as I had some blood follicules in my ovaries last time and I hope they will be gone now. I gave blood today for some routine tests and double test, they took blood from my ear! and from my arm. Combination of the blood test and the second ultrasound findings supposed to give the likelyhood of Down syndrome.

Meanwhile, which books you are reading on pregnancy, I have Dr. Anne Deans 'Your Pregnancy Bible'. It is really informative, but lacks information on pregnancies after ART.

Cheers,
Hazel

Hi ladies

I had my 9 week scan today - they couldn't see a heartbeat, the baby died a couple of days ago.
I am numb, I don't understand why this has happened. I can't take it in.
I just don't understand. I'm so exhausted.

I wish you all well and hope everything works out for all of you

Lola, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. That is tragic this late, especially after you have come so far. I am so sorry and I will be thinking about you. I feel like after we go through IVF and all the waiting and to get to 9 weeks it is twice as hard for us than an average person that got pregnant naturally. I am so sad... You are in my prayers!
