Not very happy today. Had a bit of watery blood last night, phoned the clinic and they said rest - there's nothing they can do except hope it comes to nothing. Thankfully, it was just the one bit and haven't had anything else since TOUCH WOOD!!!!!

Has anyone else has this at all?

Worried Sarah x

ps - progesterone injections are orribe. Bottom is bruised and dh has only done 3 - got weeks and weeks to go of them yet!!! will be black and blue, but it's worth it.
Hi Sarah,

Firstly congratulations on your pg.

I had quite a few bleeds and spotted alot in my first trimester which I must say was pretty scary. I had to take progesterone suppositories unitl I was 15 weeks and finally stopped spotting at 16 weeks. My progesterone level was never measured after my first beta blood test but after my first bleed my clinic increased the suppositories from 2 a day to 3.

I had a light bleed during my 2ww then spotting for about 2 weeks after that. Had another bleed and spotting at 10 weeks. Carried on spotting until 12 weeks when I had a heavy bleed.

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about the blood, especially if it's watery at the moment. I had an extremely heavy bleed at 12 weeks and was told by a gp that as long as I wasn't cramping as well to just lie down and rest. The bleed slowed down after about 12 hours and turned into spotting after about 2 days.

I am happy to say that I am now 19 weeks pg and my twins are doing fine.

My advice to you would be just to rest as much as possible and if possible speak to your gp or clinic and see if they'll sign you off work for a little while until the spotting or bleeding slows down or stops all together.

If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

Good luck,

Maggie.

[Edited by maggie on 17-Nov-02 13:30]
Thanks very much Maggie, I feel much more re-assured now. I think I will have a couple of days off work, just to be on the safe side. Thankfully have had nothing since last nights incident so fingers crossed, that will be it.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with me.

PS - congratulations!! Twins! You luck thing.

Hope it's all plain sailing for you from now on.

Sarah )
Sarah,

Just you rest as much as poss. Can't help with advice but am sure will all be fine, there seemed to be a lo of girls who had this spotting and light bleeds and they all were fine, so rest and take care of you.
Big Hug
Nicky
Sarah

I'm repeating what some of the others have said, but it may still reassure you a little.

I also bled slightly during the 2ww (well, more like a brown discharge), then starting bleeding again for 2-3 days about 2 weeks later. I went back to the clinic who did a scan which showed everything was still okay but they advised that I had total bed rest for a couple of days. I did and the bleeding stopped but then started again about a month later.

I was also told that as long as you don't have cramping pains at the same time, it should be okay.

Thankfully, all is okay and I'm 39 weeks pregnant (due next Monday).

Just make sure you rest up completely and I'm sure all will be okay.

Take care of yourself and let us know

Love JD
hello girls

thanks very much for your kindness and support. I'm glad to report it was a one off incident and nothing else emerged since so am hopefully back on track - 6 weeks tomorrow!! yippeee.

Scan is on 10th December.....ages away, so am wishing the time away at the moment.

Feeling a bit icky this morning, which I secretely quite pleased about, nothing major, just a bit off colour.

roll on 10th

love sarah x
