Angela,

I'm so sorry that the blood test news was scary! Poor thing! *HUG* I would have felt really uncomfortable during the night, too! Let's hope it's just a bad joke your body is playing on you and that you'll be able to trigger ASAP and end that stressful wait! I'm with you in thoughts sweetie, and pm me if you need to.

Hang in there darling! It's NOT over till it's over!

Hey gals. Well, I decided to buy some hpts so I did my "control" test yesterday to make sure the hcg was gone out of my system and it is now. Soooo, I may test again Friday morning. I'm not feeling as positivie this time as compared to last. Although I did feel some 'twinges' alittle bit the past 2 days, I've not had the groin pain, like a muscle pulled like I did before. But, honestly, I'm ok if it doesn't work. I've got so much to be thankful for. Life could be so much different for us but we are blessed... :) I think we all get so wrapped up in this IVF craze that we forget how lucky we really are. For some reason, when we start the IVF process, it's like the IVF demon  takes over our bodies and that's all we can think about and live for, but it's not. Just a thought for today, think about how blessed you are, be thankful for every healthly breath you take, be thankful for life itself...... ( I just feel so devotional today and wanted to share....)

Tanya - Man I hope I get to see a preggy stick like those. Congrats again.

Angela - I'm so sorry but I am still holding out hope that all things will work out for you. Hey look at all the hell I have been thru this cycle. So prayers & positive thoughts with you.

Jovigal - Ha ha I did my control test this AM and it was neg. I also have felt the "twinges" and a few sharp stabs but felt all that the first time with a BFN. When you got your BFP what symptoms did you have if any.. I know it varies so much.

Jenn - You are getting soooo close... how exciting!!!!

OK time for a nap sheww Hope everyone has a good day!!

Morning girls!

Angela- I'm so sorry for the blood results. Keeping everything crossed that it turns out ok. Take some Vit. C for the cold and get some rest. Maybe if you sleep your estrogen levels will sleep!

Sophie- are you getting close? Good luck!

I have to go back tomorrow. I will see the Dr. and she will tell me when to trigger. I think we saw about 5-6 still today. I had 2 on the left side the other day and now we could only find one. She couldn't get the other one into view to measure. Where did it go? Can they just disappear, or is it just hiding? I didn't ask too many questions because I am out of Gonal and when I asked how much to order she handed me some from samples the company gives them and said don't worry about it. I almost cried. I had to get out of there!

Hopefully everything looks good. I'll know when they call back with bloods.

Ok- off to the grocery!
Jenn

Hi girls,
I am at work - feel a bit guilty about using my work time to check on this board but...people chat in the hallways, dont they?

I got my Lupron yesterday (thanks Pmapsy for telling me that it wouldn't hurt: it didn't!) and stopped taking the pill. Well, I am already spotting - hopefulle I wont be in that nervous wait for AF for that long. At my age, it is very hard to predict how my body is going to respond. The funny thing is, after my failed first attempt, I was perimenopausal without a period for 3 and 4 months. As soon as DH and I decided try again...AF came 3 month in a row in more or less regular cycles. It is like my brain is awakening the old gynecological apparatus.

Well, the psychoanalictical entry was not exactly a reflection of my professional training. I did get some training in ludotherapy but in fact I am a school psychologist with a strong interest in neuropsychology and dont-to-earth professional tools...

I will check the blog - later on!
Hi Arizona - let's the seeds grow!

Best wishes to all you you,

I loved what you said about the gynecological thing! LOL that was really funny! Bring it on brain! Right?

Jenn
I had the same problem with my ovaries hiding. One u/s she only saw 5 follies all together and the time before she had 15!!! Talk about freaking out! I was like where are they...just remember it is just a practice of medicine and she was practicing a u/s on you and couldnt see everything. They are probably just trying to get away from the camera! LOL

Shantala
Glad you are back. How was your trip? Lots of cool things?

Jovigal
Thats my girl with the HPT's hehehe Hey way to go on taking it early to make sure that the trigger is out. The only time we expect and want a neg right? Early on so we know what is up. Baby dust to you. Good thoughts by the way. Thanks for sharing.

Sophie
It was so funny at the grocery store because I bought about $50 worth and I was going to go through the self check out lane but I needed a ton of other stuff so I had to go through a cashier lane and I was like how am I going to be able to sneak all of these in with out her saying anything. So I proceeded to put chick on the belt and toilet paper and then a box of HPT's... I keep doing this and I was thinking I was sliding it by her and then when I went to check out she was like girl why you buying all of these? It was so funny! I know I have to wait 7 days and it is killing me already. I think they do that on purpose! LOL So you dont test. Anyhow I will be doing one next WEdnesday to see what it looks like. Just because. Next week seems like forever away!!! Oh well. I will just wait because I dont own my own lab!

Angela
Come on body prepare for the blood test tomorrow to get the eggies removed in a few days. No more high E2 levels! There is my cheer for you. Heres to hoping that you get good results!

Tanya- lol! yes I think my ovaries are camera shy!! Maybe that is why they don't respond so well!

I just got the call. Dr. says everything looks great. Scan tomorrow and then probably trigger tomorrow too! AHHH! That is faster than I thought! That would mean Sat. ER!! I will know for sure tomorrow, but that is the plan right now!

hey gals!!!

Susan, I can't believe someone broke into your car...not good. At least they didn't steal the car. Sorry you had rain to deal with but you have your babies to look forward to, coming home to mama! :)

Jenn - Yeah for TRIGGER TIME!!!! so exciting now...

Angela - hope your bw turns out fine...

Just fyi to everyone, if you give in to buying hpts, $tree has them for a buck apiece and they pick up like at 20! I bought 4.

I've felt yucky today, laying in bed with the chills. I hope that's a good sign, my nurse said to expect cold/flu like symptoms in 6 days after transfer. Anyone else get the chills before during the 2ww?

shantala - so how was Egypt, wow, I can't imagine going there.

oooh, I'm so far behind! A little wine in Santa Barbara and the next thing you know it's Wed!!

Angela - We need to arrange a swap. I'll take a bit of your extra extrogen as my ovaries took an estrogen holiday last cycle and I'm actually going to take extra estrogen this cycle! Amazing how much our bodies misbehave!! Sending you an estrogen vaccuum and prayers for a great bt today. I am so sorry you have this added stress. All fingers and toes crossed for you.

Jenn- Wow! You're at ER!! Let's hope your camera shy ovaries and ready for quite a debut!

Tanya - YEah YEAH YEAH!!! What a fantastic start for our May/June buddies. I'm thrilled!! Not to pass my impatience onto you, but why the long wait for the bt???

Jovigal - I learned long ago to embrace my all-out pee stick addiction. I think I'll take a zen approach and "be one" with the pee stick. Approach him as my friend, not the evil spawn of satan I have learned him to be....Oops, I mean angelic messenger from heaven. I've got my trusty box wating and don't even start downregs until Thur!! I had nightsweats and kind of chills with all my ET's. I hope you're feeling better. Did they give you medrol with the transfer? When do you test?

Steph - Wow! You're already well into 2ww! Amazing how fast time flys. (Ofcourse it will defy all laws of time-space continuum now!!) I am sending you the stickiest vibes possible. My sx with my bfp were uterine cramps on and off and I got a funny taste in my mouth around 10-12 days post ER (I've had that with nearly all my natural pregnancies also). But, as you say, it is so different every time. When do you test?

Sophie - Love you cigar comment. Amazing when you get psychoanylists and CBTers or short term psychotherapist in the same room We had a grand rounds where all 3 sequentially interviewed the same pt. And these were renowned therapist in their respective fields. Very interesting. I tend to vascilate and take a smidge from everywhere. I did have a very odd dream the other night if you know anything about dream interpretation??

Literanz - Brazil sounds like a lovely trip. My understanding is that East - WEst flying is what increases radiation vibes (has to do with spinning of the earth) and that North - South is negligible. Depends on you doc, but lots of ladies fly from US to Austeralia etc after ET and have no worries. Another friend of mine here in LA had to wear a lead vest when she needed to travel for work to NY for a conference. So, the thoughts on air travel vary widely to say the least, which means in the medical field, "we really don't know yet and are using our best guess".

Shantala - Welcome back! I think I joined right after you left. I'm so sorry about the tummy. They do have a "traveler's diahrea" antibiotic now if you stomach doesn't recover.

Marxp - STICKY STICKY STICKY!! I hope you are getting well pampered by dh! Sounds like you had great embies! 8 cells is great!

Nimble - Huge congratulations!! Spread that babydust around girl! What is the "natural" pregnancy stuff?? I thought stirrups, needles and regular blood letting was required for pregnancy?? You must be a medical miracle! When is your bt/ us??? I hope you're getting plenty spoiled by dh!

Well, I just got back from the Vet where my beloved 13 yo pomeranian is getting IV and antibiotics. He has a fever of 103, walks crooked and has been vomiting. He can't even keep is tail curled and does the saddest half wag when I call him that you've ever seen. I really can't handle another death this year. I'm sure he will be fine, but it is hard to see such a little one sick. They may let him come home tonight. Hoping they have very good news when I go see him.

I know I've left people out and apologize! I must go check on my little boy and am sending you all great loads of babydust!!

daly - I just LOVED your hpt analagy....evil spawn of satan/angelic messenger from heaven!!!! so funny but I've learned also, DON'T TAKE A HPT IF YOU AREN'T ABLE TO HANDLE A NEGATIVE RESULT! Is medrol a steriod? I've never had to take that. But, after seeing this little rash on my arm today, I'm thinking I need to call my RE and beg for it. Looks like poison! AGAIN! I had it back last fall and it got into my bloodstreama and I broke out EVERYWHERE, literally.... Anyway, I hope you doggie gets better. I know how close of a bond you can form with them. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and fish, all my babies... :)

Hello gang

Daly
I have to wait because that is when my clinic tests at 13dpt. I have no clue why. It is just their schtick. Your comment about the becoming one with the pee stick was so funny! I got a good chuckle about that one. Good to "see" you!!!

I have had the chills this week as well and usually I am hot so maybe it is a symptom of post transfer. I don't know. I am just starting to have little AF type cramping. No bleeding or anything it just feels like its coming. Not horrid cramping or anything just there. Hope that this is a good sign. I went to a purse party tonight...not a good idea for me. I love those things. I got 3 purses that are all pink or have pink in them. It is my fav color!!!
