Blood Clot Outside of Amniotic Sac

Help!! I just got back from an ultrasound after I had a little spotting last night and they saw a small (1 cm) blood clot outside the sac, in my uterus. She said most of the time the absorb into the body but she wants to watch it. Has anyone else had this and had a successful pregnancy? The good news is, the baby measured appropriately and was moving around. I am 10 weeks and he measured 10 weeks 1 day. Any advise either way will be helpful!!!

I had the same thing and it went away at 13 weeks, so don't worry.

10 weeks is so early that most women that get pregnant normally don't get an u/s. Only reason you know about it is it is an IVF pregnancy and you are being carefully monitored. So, don't worry- you may have a bit of bleeding ( not a lot). This is what my nurse told me when I was 9 weeks.

Thanks for the comments. I hope my clot goes away and my baby is fine. This whole process has been so stressful. ONE more thing to add...

Deepa100, what happened with your pregnancy? The doctor said the same thing you did. People might have it but not know it.

Hi Reward

I also had this but please don't be alarmed!!! My miscarriage had nothing to do with my clot at all and it was slowly getting smaller over the weeks. You will be fine.

thanks lola, i remembered you had that and i wondered if there was any correlation btwn the two things. I hope you are hanging in there, we just have to look at it, like there is nothing we can do to control it and nothing we have done to cause this or that... (which is the suckiest part about all of it)
