Robbo: Oh, Hell no *snap, snap, snap*. I can't figure this out.... is this a really good friend.. is that why she expects this of you? I'm thinking that a really good friend wouldn't push the issue if you have shared with her what you are going through. But if she isn't a really good friend, why does she insist you do it? I am assuming this is her 1st baby (PLEASE tell me she isn't expecting two showers for her 2nd baby!!!). Has she always been selfish??? or this is a pregnancy-induced self centeredness? Definately my vote for Punter of the Month and i agree she should be in the running for Punter of the Year.

Robbo- I know what you mean about loving teaching and then sometimes wishing you could do something else. That is why I took a year off! My dog's name is Shelby because I love love love the movie "Steal Magnolias" and told my husband that our first baby girl in the house would be named Shleby. Our firstborn happened to be a dog so she got the name!! I've taught a couple of girls with that name. Love it!

ER is Saturday at 8:00 am. Have to be at the hospital at 6 am!!!! YIKES!!

Gosh, I just got on and realized my last post posted 4 times. UGh!!! My school computer kept telling me it wouldn't send the message, so I kept hitting submit. I am so not computer literate. Sorry!!!

Sassy-This girl is not a GREAT friend of mine. We are neighbors and we teach together. We are the kind of friends that talk at work and occasionally talk at home, but by no means would we spend a weekend together or anything. The sad thing is she DOES know what I am going through. She knows how emotional this can be, and she also knows about the money we are sinking into this. that is what really gets me. She has always been very self centered. She thinks she should always get what she wants. Almost cost her her marriage. She came to me in December saying she was divorcing her husband, then in January she was pregnant. Don't you hate women like that.
I am going to throw her a shower, however I am going to keep it as simple as I can.

Jenn- I am so excited for you. Saturday is just around the corner. Will be sending you lots of sticky baby dust.

Oh, Sassy, I forgot to mention...this is child number 2. Her first child is 10 and that is why she feels she needs another shower

What? Her 2nd child? I don't care how old the first one is--you don't have a shower for the second child and you definitely don't invite the whole world!

You guys are all just too supportive. Maybe you could all bombard her with a bunch of e-mails telling her what a b**ch she is being, and to call off the shower.
The other thing about this lady (just to get a mental picture of how selfish she is), a few weeks ago I had to take my dh to the emergency room. I asked her if she would watch my daughter for me. I had no idea we would be gone for almost 10 hours. I called several times offering to come pick dd up and bring her to the hospital. She kept saying no, my dd was doing good, and to just leave her. The next day the lady told me she would not be watching my daughter for free anymore, I needed to start paying her just like I would pay for a babysitter.
Well, this past week I watched her ten year old daughter and did she pay me? NO!!!

Robbo - HOLY CRAPOLY! I hate your neighbor! What a biayotch! Seriously! I think that terminiating your so-called friendship might be in order, it seems like the kind of relationship that after you do this big shower she wants, that she won't really be friends with you anymore anyway -becasue it won't be convienient for her.... I hate people like that! Annnnd the fact that she actually told you that she wanted you to pay her, OH NO! (with Sassy's added snaps) that is redonkulous!!

Jenn- Good lucks tomorrow!!! I'll keep you in my prayers darlink! And I'll go to church and light a candle for you too!!!! This way God remembers to watch over your and your duplicating, and spilting embies.... ya know a little reminder note... like tying a string to your finger 8) Not that he'd forget - but you know what I mean!

I can't look back that far, but who said that their period was regular but found out they weren't ovulating??? I'd like to know more about that! :?:

I miss you guys!!!

Meg I hope you are doing well! And Sweetpea too!

Vicky - I hope your travels to Argentina today are uneventful and your BFF time is fantastomical! I am officially going to be in WPB to see the twins THursday through Saturday - so it looks like we'll miss each other, sorry!

Fee- I hope that Nogin is doing great and growing big, big big!!!

I know I am forgetting people, but I hope you know I love you just the same!

XXOO!!

Robbo: Ummm. Wow. Yeah, doesn't sound like a friend that is really a "friend". I'm thinking some distance from her would be in order. And expecting TWO showers for her second child (i don't give a d*mn how old the 1st is...)????? The whole babysitting thing... I don't even know what to say. Reminds me of my VERY demanding ex-friend that i have ranted about here and on my blog. Luckily, she didn't live next door...

Jenn: SOOOOO, how did ER go? How are you feeling. Waiting for the scoop!

Hellooooo sistas!

Well the ER went well. They got 6 eggs. I find out Monday morning how they got along with Dh's sperm and how many of those were mature.

I was in a lot more pain this time afterward. Don't know why. The Dr. gave me some vicoden. I still have pretty bad cramps but I don't care! My toe has responded well to the pain meds however, and I can walk today with no problem!! I think vicoden should be the new cure for broken toe- aka "ugly toe".

Going to go lie down, feeling pretty loopy. Ta ta for now!
Jenn

Hi girls, I am in Argentina right now, it feels so good to be home with my BFF, I think I really needed this!!!!!!!. Today we had a great day, we had breakfast together, then lunch, then went for a coffee to "the place" for ice-creams here (did I mention that the ice-creams in Argentina are fabulous?????, mmmmmmmmmmmm my mouth is watering already), this place is called Freddo, amazing!!. Then we went to the mall, then came back to her home, had a nap and now we are all going out for some pizzas to a place that we love where they make the most amazing thin crusted pizzas!!.

Robbo.....I agree with all the other girls, that you should dump that "friend" of yours, she is too much, who does she think she is? asking for 2 showers on her second child, to her neighbour who isn't even her best friend, that is going through IVF and to whom she just asked to pay her for babysitting her children    , that was just a killer, couldn't believe that one. You could tell her very politely that you apologize but you don't think you will be able to host her baby shower because you are ongoing treatment and you will probably be in the middle of one at that time and it is too hard physically, emotionally and economically.............I think she should shut up after that.

Jenn....congrats about ER!!!!, yepeeeeeeeeeeeee 6 eggies if fab, let us know about the "fart report". I am sorry though that you are not feeling that well, look at it as a very good excuse to be really pampered  . When is ET? (3 day or 5 day transfer?)

Everyone else....hope you are all doing great, will keep trying to post while here in Argentina. I have internet here at BFF house.

See you all!!!

Chau!!

Hello pretty ladies!
Sorry...I've been MIA for a long time. I actually typed a big long post at work the other night but when I pressed submit, for some reason, it erased my whole post and I didn't have time to re-do the whole thing. Hate it when that happens!

Robbo~ I am just absolutely speechless about your "friend". I honestly don't see how ANYONE could EVER be that self-centered. Like you said why doesn't she just have her own d**n baby shower if she's so worried it's not going to be perfect? And dont even get me started on the fact that this is her second baby! That is just absolutely ridiculous. Like the other girls said...you're a much better person that I am. I would have told that girl long, long ago to find another "friend" to do all this s**t for her. Oh and THEN....she actually has the nerve to try to charge you for babysitting? That's unbelievable. I hope if there's any way to get out of this, you'll be able to.
Oh and that whole she was getting divorced then found out she was pregnant, don't you just love that? That's happened to me a couple times and nothing makes you want to beat your head (or theirs!) against the wall more!

Vicky~ I'm so glad to hear you're in Argentina and having such a great time! Good for you...live it up girl! Have lots of ice cream for me!!!
BTW..Don't worry about the clothes. Like Robbo said, at least they fit. Mine wouldn't fit from four years ago either! I'm sure they're fine and even if they aren't you will never see those people again!

Sassy~ YEAH...You're back!
That really sucks that you had to go in to work the next morning. If it was me I think I would have not even asked and shown up on Thursday! How rude of them to do that to you though.
Sorry about SIl. Doesn't it just suck. And I think it makes it even harder when your not close to her. It's just so frustrating.
So..you're going to do another go-round in July? That will be good. It will still give you some time to relax and enjoy the summer for a while.

Jenn~ Sorry I wasn't around to wish you luck on Saturday but I was glad to find out everything went well! Hopefully your cramping let up some. Did you ever find out if they will do a 3 or a 5 day ET?

Melissa~ How are ya? So i guess you moved your "office" out of your bathroom! Wow...you must be soo glad that mess is over!! Part of my post that I typed at work (that got erased) was asking you if you ever stopped pooping long enough to watch Survivor? What did you think about the finale? I was glad Earl won!
Anyway I got off the Colonoscopy subject...have you heard anything yet about the biopsies? Hopefully everything will be ok. I'm sure it will!

Well not much exciting news to report here. We had another crazy, busy weekend. Can't even really remember most of it to tell you the truth. The weather was absolutely beautiful here so we got some things done outside. Oh...and Vicky...we shaved our dog yesterday! actually one of our friends did it for us and it's really just more of a short haircut. We couldn't handle the hair anymore! She looks so much better and I think she feels a lot better too! She hasn't shed a bit since. I don't know what I'll do with my time now that I'm not sweeping my floors every two hours!!!

Well, I'll chat later. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hello sistas and WELCOME BACK SASSY! Hope you had a wonderful rejuvenating trip. We just had our anniversary w/e down the coast - very relaxing and pampering, had a massage, sat by the fire, ate fine food, drank nice wine - the hotel we stayed at is very old so it was like stepping back in time (no TV's - just the newspaper to keep up to date with the outside world).

Thanks everyone for the AF/ovulating advice. I'm definitely not ovulating and although there has been a bit of mucus (lovely!) and a bit of a twinge over the last few weeks, no sign of AF at all so I have to take Primulut to bring it on.

So as of yesterday, I am BACK ON THE DRUGS! (woo hoo - not!) Reckon I will be heading towards a FET in June sometime. Anyone else care to join me? :D

Good luck to Jenn for her ET - keep us posted.

Best do some work - it's Monday morning here.
Me 39 PCO - TTC since Aug 05
