Any symptons???

Tested positve last Monday (2nd) and due for first scan on 18th December, but because I am paranoid I am terrified there will be no heartbeat on that screen. Should I have any symptons by now? Feel nothing, no sore boobs/nipples, spots, period like cramps - nothing. Can anyone help......... Amanda

Hi Amanda I'm 8 weeks today so a couple of weeks ahead of you. I guess you're about nearly 5 weeks. I have sore boobs which started during the 2ww - worse some days that others but nothing major - had some a/f cramp type things for a week or so after 2ww but they've gone now, felt pretty tierd (but that was probably just the emotional stress of it all) no spots and no other symptoms at all until about middle of last week when started to feel a bit sicky (some people don't even get that) I don't think there is really anything else you can expect at the moment and don't wish sickness on yourself and it's not very nice. Haven't actually been sick but feel queasy on and off all day at work - yuk! Not long at all to wait for your scan - I haven't had mine yet!! have got it on Tuesday next week. Don't worry, you're bound to be one of the lucky ones who gets off lightly!! Scan will make you feel better - I can't wait for mine. Sorry can't really help! Sarah x

hi sarah & amanda. just thought i would let you both know that it is possible to see a heartbeat without an internal scan,we had atummy scan first as we were very worried about having an internal one, so make sure you both ask for a tummy scan first not that a internal one will do any harm but i have always been wary about having them especially getting this far.. best wishes to you both & good luck. mr & mrs wales..

Hi Amanda I'm at exactly the same stage as you (I had et on the 21st same as you I think) - except I don't have my first scan till the 24th Dec. I also have no symptons now and am driving dh mad by saying does he think the test is accurate, am I really pg? Felt slight cramps during 2ww but hardly anything now....apparently if you are going to feel sick it normally kicks in between 6-8 weeks....lets hope we don't suffer. I know what you mean about the heartbeat though....the whole thing is so nerve-wracking. I actually was dreaming about twins last night! The only thing different is that I am still very bloated - can't even get into my jeans - but I know that is the drugs more than anything (I promise I haven't been pigging out!). I keep on telling myself not to worry and that everything will be fine and you MUST do the same. Love, Michelle x p.s. Sarah good luck for Tuesday - you will be so fine x

To Amanda and all, I'm 6mths now and I didn't have any symptoms at all until about 9 or 10 wks when I started to get very tired, but even then I was desparate for the throwing up to start just so I'd feel pregnant - it didn't happen really, the worst it got was I felt a bit like I was coming down with something like a bad cold - If I hadn't seen our baby wriggling around at the 12wk scan, I wouldn't of known I was pregnant - lucky I guess, some people have terrible sickness etc, but I didn't feel lucky at the time. You'll hear it a million times, but everyones different and its only now I feel as though I was lucky getting away with very little. I know its impossible because people said it to me, but try and relax at little bit and enjoy the fact that you really are pregnant. love Wendy, Chris and Benjamin bump xxxxx

Girls Thanks, you've just saved my sanity. I tested positive on Friday but have been driving DH mad saying that I don't feel any different. I know it's REALLY early but I have been pg twice before and both times the morning sickness kicked in really early and my boobs were so sore and rock-hard from a couple of days before AF was due. This time...NOTHING!!!! I'm looking at it as a good omen. The two times previously ended in mc so I'm hoping that feeling dofferent this time is a good sign. Keeping everthing crossed LOL Terri xxxx
