So far I'm feeling pretty good. Thanks for checking on me. I haven't had any real symptoms, but it's only been 2 days. I think implantation can occur anywhere where from 6-10 days post fertilization which would be from tomorrow on for me. And it sounds like people range all all over the place in terms of having symptoms or not, and actually being pregnant or not. So i'm not sure what to make of anything. I'm just trying to stay relaxed and focused on other things. We went to see an open house this morning and picked up the morning paper and some decaf tea on the way home. Think we'll just hang out on the deck reading and enjoying the beautiful weather we're having.
How are you doing? It sounds from your list of medications that you're on a lupron protocol. I was too. I think they're more inclined to use it for younger women. It's not bad. Just a tiny sub-q needle. Super tiny. Much smaller than the ones they use to draw blood. you'll do great. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Brandi-
For my protocol, I started BCPs on either on the 1st or maybe the 2nd or 3rd days of my period (I don't exactly remember). I then started Lupron about a week later. And I took 10u once a day in the evening for a week. Then I started stims and continued the Lupron but cut it down to 5u. That lasted about 12 days or so until my follicles where ready, then I stopped both the Lupron and the Follistim and took one shot of ovidril and 35 hrs later had my retrieval. After the ER, I took the antibiotics (for you the tetracycline) for 5 days (and I had 1 dose b/4 as well) and I took the steroids (medrol) for 4 days. And that night I started the progesterone shots. I had my ET 4 days later (b/c of the 1 day delay for the rescue ICSI). and that night I started the baby aspirin. So now I'm just taking the baby aspirin and the Progesterone shots. Hope that's not TMI, but thought you might jut want an overview of what happens with what when. But, again your RE will walk you through it as it happens, so don't worry about getting it all down. Glad you're feeling better about it all. Hope you're enjoying a great weakend. Catch up with you soon.
Bebe

Brandi, as far as side effects goes, i guess i was a little moody on the lupron so tell DH in advance, but not that bad. everyone is different. Follistim my stimm meds for IVF i feel it working mostily on my left side a little cramp, to be expected, i am happy it means it working. Tomorrow i have b/w and i will ask the nurse about the feeling on my left side and why more sensation on my left than my right. You will be fine.
Hello Ladies,
Well it was back to work for me today, after a week off. It's a good thing though. I can spend hours otherwise pondering everything I'm feeling. I'm actually doing fine. I've had some cramping and I have no idea what it means. I've heard it can be from the PIO shots, implantation or maybe my period coming. ARGGHH! I try to not think about it. And when I start to think negatively I just try to say a little prayer and stay positive. But I don't test until the 30th so I have a while to go. Or rather a while to go crazy : ) I had some day 3 labs yesterday, which I was told were all normal. The nurse did mention that my progesterone was 200 which sounded kind of high to me but again I have no idea what to make of that. Any ideas? I'm sure it's just form the whopping dose of PIO since it's so early.
Well hope you guys are managing to stay sane. Brandi - I didn't really have any side effects from the lupron or the stims. But my ovaries got really huge. In fact I think yesterday may have been the 1st day I didn't actually think about them. Guess they're getting back to normal.
Take care,
Bebe
hey guys, well thanks for all the advice ad i will def keep it all in mind. eveybody goodluck with the appointments. bebe, good luck and congratas on going back to work sounds like your doing well and i hope on the 30th you get a BFP!!!!. Starting down-regging June - stims July for ET mid-end July.
Have doen one previous IVF with ICSI.
I'd say ICSI is less stressful! Cos you get better fertilisation rate - not sure about assisted hatching though - my consultant doesn't recommend - he thinks there's no evidence it makes a difference although they'll do it if requested.
Best of luck!

Hi Ladies
We start our first IVF (potential ICSI back up) in June. I believe I start down regging 14 days from now. I had a high FSH (13.6) 3 months ago and will get the results from this cycle blood test on Monday.
I look forward to a successful journey for all of us!
