Hi Everyone.

I am new here. This is my first attempt. I am doing IVF/ICSI. I had 34 eggs. 23 of them divided and 2 were transfered at the 8 cell stage on May 18. Have not heard yet as to how many of them will be frozen. This 2 week wait is going to be hard. Not sure if I will do my own home pregnancy test or just wait for the doctors to do it. I didn't know people felt any signs of implantation. I probably wouldn't feel anything as my ovaries are still enlarged.

Hi girls,

Just wanted to say congratulations to those of you who have recently got a bfp, and send hugs to those who have had sad news.
To those of you who are driving themselves mad on the 2ww just thought I would share what happened to me. I had NO symptons WHATSOEVER!!! On test date they told me it was positive, but very, very faint. It seemed unlikely the pregnancy would survive. They made me wait a further 5 days (!!!!!!!!!!!!) before calling me in again for another test. During those 5 days I did 3 of my own hpts - each on a different day. Each was negative. I therefore prepared myself accordingly for my appointment.
BUT it was positive!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not believe it, but now having living proof - a beautiful 7 month old son. What I am trying to say is that you just never, ever know how something will turn out. For those of you who have done hpts that are negative - my story is proof that it's not always over at that point. It also doesn't seem to matter whether you do or don't have symptoms. So keep the faith!!!

Best of luck to you all!

Cla

Steph,
That is awesome, I took another test at 5am too and the second line is still light but it's definitely there. Was your control line darker or the other line? It sounds positive for us I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying!

Jovigal, how are you feeling today?

Marsxp, did you test yet?

KPSD, Wow, 34 eggs! That's wonderful! Yes the 2 ww is so hard I just hate it. I have 2 more days until my beta and I can barely stand it. You can wait the 2ww out with us! This forum has been a lifesaver to me. :D

Danica, hugs to you. PIO are Progesterone Oil Shots. Please don't give up hope yet you never know what can happen.

Cla, Thanks so much for the positive story. That really is amazing and just goes to show you never know how things will turn out! Congrats on your son!

Karia,
Don't give up hope yet! It could be implantation spotting! Having no symptoms at the point is totally normal! It's not over til it's over! Keep the faith! We are here for you if you need to talk.

I just found out that out of 23 embryos that divided I ended up having only 6 to freeze. I was really surprised by that! Hopefully I won't need them.

Bunky, I wish you best of luck on Thursday for your test.

Karia, I was advised not to stop taking my prometrium even if I have a period. The nurse said I need to wait for the blood test to determine if I was pregnant or not. She said some people have spotting or a period and still have a postive pregnancy test.

Has anyone heard that stress can have an impact on implantation? I was told once the transfer is done there is nothing I can do to effect whether it works or not. It seems all the resting and non excerise they want me to do is just for my ovaries to heal.

Mind you I did another hpt (different brand) this morning and positive again. Will wait for the beta.

Hope everyone is travelling well. Hope there are more positive results coming. Don't give up hope.

kpsd, 6 frozen embryos is fabulous! Hopefully you won't need to use them but it's great that you have them just in case! We didn't have any to freeze this time. I honestly believe that once the transfer is done it's either going to work or it's not, I don't think there is too much you can do to affect it. I would rest up though, just in case.

Tenny, wow you got a positive? Was it a dark line? My blood test is Thursday morning as well and I am getting faint positives right now, I am hoping for the best!

Hi Bunky - Used clear blue test last night and 'pregnant' came up within a minute. Used crystal clear test this morning and 2 lines 2nd line just slightly lighter compared to control line. I think any line no matter how faint is a positive. Enjoy it!

Karia just don't stress too much yet , wait for the blood test as I have had a lot of friends bleed and still be pregnant. You never know. Fingers crossed for you. When is your blood test?

My2Lnt - congratulations! Glad your dh stayed around to see it! It makes it more real!

Danica - who are you with in Melb? We go through Monash IVF as part of the Bendigo satelite clinic. Is this your first time?

Hello Ladies,

Congratulations to all the BFP's out there. And I am so sorry for those who have received bad news. As for me, I have a while to go in this limbo-land. I don't test until wed the 30th. And for now, I don't think I'll POAS. But ask me again tomorrow and who knows.

Well it was back to work for me today, after a week off. It's a good thing though. I can spend hours otherwise pondering everything I'm feeling. I'm actually doing fine. I've had some cramping and I have no idea what it means. I've heard it can be from the PIO shots, implantation or maybe my period coming. ARGGHH! I try to not think about it. And when I start to think negatively I just try to say a little prayer and stay positive. But I have a while to go. Or rather a while to go crazy : ) I had some day 3 labs yesterday, which I was told were all normal. The nurse did mention that my progesterone was 200 which sounded kind of high to me but again I have no idea what to make of that. Any ideas? I'm sure it's just form the whopping dose of PIO since it's so early.

Take Care,
Bebe

Hi Ladies,

Hope you don't mind me jumping on here. I've had such an up and down week so far, I had EC on Monday, 6 eggs were collected but only one was good enough for ICSI.

I'm pleased to say I've not long come back from the hospital, I had my one and only embie put in 2day, it had divided into 4 cells overnight, so hopefully it will keep on going.

Question: Once ET takes place, how many days does it usually take to attach, does anyone know?

Speak soon and Good Luck

Bebe, wishing you luck! I'm glad you are able to stay positive, it's been so hard for me but I'm trying!

TansRN, my test is tomorrow too and I've been a wreck about it. The waiting is horrible! Positive HPTS are definitely a great sign! I will be thinking about you when I have my beta tomorrow!

Pat, I know what you mean about having an up and down week! 1 embie is all it takes! I think it attaches about 6 days after transfer, but I'm not sure. Good luck to you!!

Steph, OMG I am anxiously awaiting your results! I should have called this morning to see if I could go in today!!!!
