Reward-
I'm so glad that your OB was able to hear the heart beat with the Doppler. I basically told mine I wasn't leaving the office until i heard it because I would just be a worried mess! It took mine a while too but he found it. But there was a lot of static and it was a little hard to hear. I can't wait until it's bigger and easier to hear.

So you are going to do the First Trimester Screen? I decided not to do it. I actually had my appointment all set up to go in on June 1st but then I started worrying about getting a false positive. Or even worse, a true positive. DH and I decided that we will just skip the screen and wait to see our little one at the 20 week scan....that's so far away!!!! Hopefully the summer goes fast!!

So to everyone else, how are you feeling? I'm starting to notice my energy levels are picking back up and I'm not as nauseas. Still have some major heart burn but I feel like that will only get worse as the pregnancy moves along.

Is anyone showing? I'm still not even close to showing. I've barely gained a pound and I have a teeny tiny pooch but no baby belly yet. I can't wait until I'm big and pregnant!!

Well, hope you all have a great weekend!!

Steph,
I am not sick at all. I got a little sick in the 9th week, but that's about it for me. My boobs are not as sore (veiny) not sore and my stomach sometimes feels tight down low with a few twinges every once in a while. Do you ever have those two things? Does anyone have that? I just look fat. Those PIO shots really made me a pig. I have gained 11 lbs.

You are further along than me, so your 20 week will be a lot sooner, won't it? I will be 20 weeks around the third week of July. That is a LONG time.

Yea, we're having that screen. I want to know. Just so I can prepare myself.

Reward I am seriously thinking about a home doppler..... or even better a home ultrasiund scanning nurse, she could stay under the stairs and come out whenever I had a wibble.....

They don't know what will happen to baby B - they say it may reabsorb or I may have a bleed. So basically very similar to you. I hope to goodness I don't have a bleed, I seriously think I would pass out. I started hyperventilating when I was bleeding at 4 wks, this far on and I would lose it all togather. DH is already fairly convinced I'm on my way to the funny farm - brain has totally packed up and left town. I run my own business, this is not an ideal situation!

My boobs are a little less sore and I am hardly queasy at all, I'm sure my symptoms are dropping off slightly because baby B has now gone - I just worry in case baby A has as well. However I keep telling myself there's no reason to think this, it looked very happy last time we saw it and I am sure it will hang in there - Reward thank you for your prayers!

So exciting that you're at the screening stage already, I received my ante natal booking letter and 12 wk scan date today (from the lovely NHS) I am now a bona fide pregnant person! Booking appointment on the 2nd June and scan on the 14th. However my next focus date is my 10 wk scan at the fertility clinic on the 29 May - fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed.

LOL

ps slightly gross but luckily this isn't webcam - does anyone else have what can only be described as boils?!!! I had about 3 on the back of my neck, very sore but luckily hidden by my hair, but today I found one daring to crop up on the front of my neck - seriously hideous. I assume its the hormones, but really.......

Misspiggy,
I am having that same test on May 29th. Nuchal Translucency, I think its called. i have to pay for it too but I had rather know than not know.

Tams, i have acne sporadically and they are pretty bad when I get them, but mine are on my face.

Is anyone still crampy? I have a dull ache in my back and have twinges of pains with some crampiness. This started again this weekend. I will be 11 weeks on Wed. YIPPEEE. Unfortunately, not out of the clear, maybe I will feel better on the 29th after my NT scan.

Hello ladies, Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. The weather here was perfect so I can't complain. Sad to be back at work again though…

Reward- I have been having twinges and cramps lately as well. Maybe that starts to happen as you near the second trimester? I was thinking maybe it means my belly is finally growing. Who ever thought I would be in such a rush to gain weight and get big?! I feel like I won't be officially pregnant until I have a belly so I'm wishing for it constantly. My 20 week scan won't be until the third week of July as well. I think July 16th is when I have it scheduled. So far...

MissPiggy- I was signed up to go for that test on June 1st but was feeling very conflicted about it so I decided to cancel. I really wanted to have the ultrasound because I'm dying to see my little one again. But there is a 5% chance of false positives and that scared me and DH so we decided to just wait it out until our 20 week scan. If we got positive results it would just cause me to be neurotic and I definitely don't need any help with that. I worry enough as it is. But it's a personal choice and some people feel like they'd rather know so whatever you decide to do will be the right thing for you I'm sure.

Tams- Are you going to get a home Doppler? Let me know what you decide to do and if you hear of any that are better than others. I told my DH I wanted one and he thought I was crazy. But waiting a month in between appointments is sooo hard!! Especially now that I'm feeling a little better. I get worried way too easily. I do like the idea of an ultrasound room under my stairs. Wonder how I can make that happen?? You are so lucky you get a 10 week and a 12 week scan. I had one at 8 weeks and don't have another until 20 weeks. That's three months in between!!!

Quita- We will be 12 weeks tomorrow!!! Aren't you excited?? I can't believe it. Some days I feel like the time is moving so slow and other times it amazes me I'm already this far.

Mrs. B- Glad to hear your 12 week scan went so well and you got to see your little one moving about. That is amazing!! How does it feel to be off the meds?!?

Sha- That's amazing you are going to do a home birth. What made you decide to go that route? I would never be brave enough. I think I'll need a whole team of people and lots of medicine to keep me calm!!

Hi to everyone else…Back to work!

Mrs B, I am so jealous that you, Quita, Pep23 are all 12 weeks and beyond.... I pray that I get there too! Glad your scan went well last week, I forgot to tell you.

Pep, I went to the OB and he said that my hormones are driving the twinges and dull aches that I am having. I feel better. He checked me and said everything looked good and I heard the heartbeat again. I tell you, I am going to rent a doppler (baby beat I heard was good) but it is so hard right now to find it, I would have a break down. 8 more weeks is a long time to wait.... You all know I'd be running to the doctor. My belly is big and swollen so I have finally had to tell people at work. I am 10 weeks 5 days today. So close...

Talk to you guys later!

Hi girls,
Well after re-thinking everything and hearing that several of you are having the 12 week scan for Downs I have decided to go ahead with it after all. My insurance covers it at 100% so I am just looking at it as another opportunity to see the baby.

I'm feeling better and not gaining any weight so I don't feel pregnant. :? I'm thinking this will help put my mind at ease once I see my little one and know he/she is ok in there. I think waiting until my next appointment a month from now will make me go crazy!

Anyway, my scan is on June 1st, next Friday. So Reward you will have it the day before me. I'll need a pep talk after you go so I don't stress ok?!?

Hope you are all having a good week!

Hi ladies, I have been dealing with a step daughter from hell lately so that is why I have been MIA again. What has been going on in a nut shell; my stepdaughter's boyfriend got arrested for sexually molesting his sister, my stepdaughter then accused her cousin of doing that to her, she then ran away and got arrested. She is now in a mental hospital and we are looking into boarding schools for her because she tends to be an trusworthy person.

As for the babies, I have my scan next week and I cannot wait. I am trying not to worry, especially with all of the stress of late.

Good morning everyone! I am 9 weeks today and aparently our embryo is now officially a fetus - yippee!

I've been busy with work the last couple of days and have missed catching up. It sounds as though everyone's doing well - albeit in a sloghtly anxious way! I am also still totally neurotic, still checking for blood every time I go to the bathroom. I have been having quite a few twinges and a couple of times in the night I've felt some cramps - which sends me to the loo every time to check. I'm relieved to hear this is linked to the hormones.

Steph, I was thinking about getting a home doppler but my GP has said I can go in there anytime I want to hear the baby's heartbeat, so I think I'll make use of theirs! The reason I have a scan at 10 wks and another at 12 is that the 10 wk one is the last one I'll have at the fertility clinic (we pay for these!) before I go into the very real world of the NHS. The 12 wk one is the first one most people have in the UK, the next one being at 20 wks - I forsee many trips to my normal doctor in between these two scans!
Good luck with your down's scan, I'm sure all will be well - apparently its amazing how much like a baby your baby looks at this stage versus a few weeks before! We have ours on the 14th June - I'll be 12 wks and 1 day.

Reward good luck with your scan on the 29th, so exciting- I can't believe you're nearly there. Really this whole pregnancy thing takes on a time all of its own, a day is like a week.

Miss Piggy, I'm having the Down's scan, its actually covered by my NHS hospital, I don't have the blood test as well though, is it best to have both? What stage are you at the moment?

Denise, good luck with your step daughter - definitely try not to stress, easier said than done I know.

Back to work (all I really want to do is read baby books!)

Tams I am 10 weeks and 3 days.
I am only 34 but I had to have the test with both my girls,I had them when I was 21 and 24.The first baby was my 10th pregnacy and the second my 14th.I always had early m/c's before 12 weeks and the doctors didnt know why. This is why they said to have the blood and echo tests. I live in the netherlands now, before in the uk.I can not remember if I had a blood test with the echo with the girls.Maybe they just do it here? I have the echo here in two weeks.
Best of luck
