wannababyIVF- That is exactally how my cramps feel. Like AF and bowel cramps, sometimes it is hard to tell what area it is. They come and go every day. They don't hurt alot, they are just there. I wonder if people who don't go through IVF worry just as much as me, I wonder if they have some of the same symptoms and if they even notice them or not. But I am glad. My cramps started like at 12-13 weeks. I heard the hb last week and the dr said it was good, and it is normal to have the cramps. But I am not alone thank god.

I am right with you girls In fact I went back to Dr today cause I have been cramping really bad on my left side which is right were the baby is. Everything was great baby was fine no problems got a great pic still wouldnt show me nothing. I am 14weeks and 3 days I dont think we will ever stop worrying until we hold these babies in our arms and then it is all new worries. but at least we can see for ourselves that we made it. I know it is silly or me cause I can already feel the baby move and I have a monitor I bought from wal mart for my best friend and she gavie it back to me and I can hear the bay moving and kicking in another month or so I should be able to hear heartbeat, it is abvious the different sounds but I still worry not as much but it is there.
Dr told me I was just going to have one of those preg that was going to be painful, told him I did not care as long as I knew everything was fine. I have been put on restricted activity and NO SEX but hopijng that was just the stress and when I go back they will change that. at least the activity part I like to be able to do things.
Ange Sweetie I cannot imagine what you have been through bless your heart. I am jsut really glad everything is ok for you and babies, i will be thinking of you.
Wanna and Jen My Dr told me not to ever be afraid of calling them with any concern that it just shows that I am really in tune with my body and it is totally normal when you have so much at stake to be paranoid!!! So dont feel alone because believe me your not.
One other thing I was wandering is anyone getting spots in front of their eyes like flashes of light? Dr said it was normal not BP or anything so jsut thought I would ask.
I will write more later see Ya

Hi Ladies!
Jen and Mominwaiting- I asked two people I know that just had babies and they did not have the cramping. :-( But also neither one of them had IVF or were pregnant with twins. :-( But one had spotting and the other had really bad headaches (which I'm starting to get but I thought it was because of allergies). I guess it just goes to show that every pregnancy is different. But it's nice (well not nice lol)...it's reassuring to know that you ladies here are sharing some of the same experiences. So that makes me freak out a little less. lol If it were just me, I would probably be nuts right now. But with the cramps, I feel them everyday, not really bad, but I can tell that something is going on. :-(

Mominwaiting-I have the pain on the left side more also. Couldn't tell you if the baby was over there or not. One of them might be. lol But I had some pain on my left side before I ever got pregnant. The doctors thought it was endometriosis. Now he is saying it still could be. But they wouldn't do anything about it unless the pain was killing me because pregnancy is the cure for endo. :-( Also, I have fibroids but my fibroids are on the right side, not the left. I haven't felt a thing on my right side (which is probably a good thing). Also, someone told me (or I read) that your eye sight gets a little worse when you are pregnant. Basically you can have problems with your eyes while being pregnant. I have experienced blurriness every once in a while. But I'm not sure if that's my contacts or not. I would speak to the doctor about it if it's worrying you. Better safe that sorry.

Jen and anyone else having the AF cramps...Do you feel it more after you've been sitting for a while and then get up? That's when I feel it most but I do feel it at other times.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Healthy babies to you all!

Mominwaiting- what kind of monitor did you get from walmart. What section is it in? How much was it? I think it would be nice to have one. I think it would cut back on my worries.

wannababyIVF- As for my cramps, I don't have a specific time that I get them. They just come and go as they want. It is just weird. But I am assuming it is normal, and am going to try not to worry. Easier said than done. But as I am reading alot of people have them. So it is reassuring to know I am not the only one.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say that it is totally understandable to be worried about those ligament cramps, but they are perfectly normal, honest!

Had them a lot with my first pregnancy and was concerned myself but they're a good healthy sign as it means your uterus is growing well and stretching the supporting ligaments accordingly. And I can't imagine how much more ligaments must be stretching for all you lovely ladies lucky enough to be carrying two!!

I've got the same thing again this time but as long as there's no bleeding I'm not worrying. Still got horrendous m/s though. Shame there isn't a quickly absorbed meal supplement in liquid form, cos i'm not enjoying seeing it all for a second time. Still, haven't put on much weight yet - saving that for the 3rd trimester!!!!

OK, take care all
love

carbev--Funny you should mention m/s. Mine is back and with vengeance. :-( I thought it was gone. I was even bragging about it. Then last night I waited too long to eat dinner and then....up it came. YUCK!! NO fun at all. Then this morning while brushing my teeth, I started gagging. These babies must be having a party in my tummy and no one invited me. I too was thinking about the meal supplement in liquid form. I feel I am not giving these little ones the nutrients I need considering I'm not eating that much and when I do, I'm barfing. :-( One thing that I can keep down and which is probably good for the babies is a fruit shake. YUMMY!!!

Thanks for the explanation on the cramps. It's nice to know that someone else had them and had a healthy pregnancy and baby after having them. :P

Nuchal Scan

Post by MommyTfive »

I just wanted to update everyone that I had my Nuchal Scan yesterday and we passed it with flying colors. Yeah!! One less thing to worry about.
The baby kept falling asleep during the u/s and they were trying to get it to move. It was so funny. As soon as they would leave the room and come back in, it was moving like crazy. Then it would go to sleep on them again.

So no more u/s until the week of June 20th. So thats when we will hopefully find out the sex. I am off of progesterone after this weekend. I can't wait to finally be done with all that stuff. So after this weekend I will feel like a normal 13 week pregnant woman. I HOPE!!

Hugs
Tammy

I think this posted twice but I meant to post it in the Nov babies subject. Hopefully it makes it this time.lol

The baby monitor is in the baby section at wal mart and I think it was either 19.99 or 29.99 can't remember I bought it last year for my Best friend. I could hear her babies heartbeat on it when she was 5 months I am anxious to hear my own.
The dr told me that the ligaments stretching was what was causing the pains that we feel, as long as there is no bleeding everything is fine. Some women have the stretching through entire pregnancy.
My next appointment is May 22, 11 more days and I will hopefully know boy or girl. I am so excited. I ordered this test off the internet called intelligender supposed to pee in a cup and it turns one color for boy and another for girl. 90% effective. I am going to take it in the morning, they want you to use first morning pee. Supposed to be stronger I guess. Anyway it is like 25.00 +S&H I will let you know how it goes. I am really having fun trying to figure out what it is, almost like waiting for christmas!!
Well I will catch up to you all later
OH YEAH Congrats MOM!!! I know that is a relief!!! Too funny alright a toot huh.

Where is everyone?

Mominwaiting--did you find out what you were having?

I hope I find out soon. They say you can find out earlier with twins. I'm praying this is the case. We have another U/S tomorrow and I'll be a day shy of 16 weeks. I'm hoping we can tell or at least get a hint. :P

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while... m/s got worse before it got better, and then I got mumps which has been horrible. My face was so swollen on Tuesday, I couldn't open my mouth. Went to my gynae v. worried that it would affect the pregnancy but he was very reassuring and did a scan, showing our beanie leaping around fit and well. Couldn't get a fix on the gender though and this time I'm soooooooo keen to find out!

Anyone else find out? Anyone not want to? With Will, we were adamant that we didn't want to find out. Think that because of years of invasive treatment and the fact that the docs and our families knew so much about what was going on, we wanted just one thing held back and private. Also, didn't want to be pestered about names, although that still happened!

Anyway, really think this one's a girl, so I want to find out!

How you all doing?????

My doc doesn't do a u/s until 20 weeks to find out the sex. I can't wait, only 4 more to go. I really am thinking girl, hubby is thinking boy. Alot of things are telling me girl, but I will be happy with what ever. I am just so happy to make it this far. I don't even feel pg now. But felt the baby move a few times, I can't wait until it is more consistant to make me stop wondering. Well have to run, good luck to all.

Well I had sono, and no luck at all, baby was sitting indian style and would not give it up. I coughed and laughed and we jiggled and the baby would just jump up and come right back down in same postion. So I go back in two weeks and maybe it will be better, still driving me crazy. i just knew I was gonna find out or get a hint. NOPE NADA. Already being a turd. The nurse told me to get ready cause they usually act outside alot like they do inside. Every other time I have had a sono the baby was flipping and jumping and when I want it to - nothing!!!
Oh well, I had my blood test done I will find out results when I go back on June 4th not worried though, only did them because they say I have too. Still having light contractions, but cervix is closed tight. So guess I will just deal with it.
I am definitly looking pregnant now!!! There is no doubts. All my clothes are maternity. I have gained a total of 14 pounds from very beginning, so not too bad.
I am so anxious to hear what you all are going to have so we can start comparing boy stuff to girl stuff,
Have any of you bought anything yet? I have bought some of both only cause it was on sale and if I don't need it I can always take it back.
JEN I read somewhere that said that a mother instinct on gender was 90% accurate. SO maybe it is a girl if that is what you feel.
I cannot tell sometimes I feel girl others I feel boy, I took a test and it said boy, but everything else I do all says girl. Nurse said that may be why we can't see because girls are shyer than boys and don't like to show it. I would be happy with either, but I am starting to lean towards a girl, cause DH has a son, so would be nice to have one of each. But don't really care.
Anyway gonna go for now talk to you all later!!!

Hi Ladies.....

I had a pretty extensive sonogram yesterday where they measured everything on both babies to make sure they are growing at the right rate and a proportionate rate. We got to see kidneys, bladders, brains, spines, blood flow, it was amazing! I got to watch them for over an hour! DH said he was feeling seasick watching all the motion, I was just mesmerized. Next week I get re-assessed regarding how much longer I need to be on bed rest. I'm really hoping it's not much longer. All bleeding and staining has stopped even with my wild all day sickness which historically has triggered some staining. Babies measured great, and where they should be despite the fact that I have lost 15lbs. I was worried about that. From the looks of the sonogram, we are having one boy and one girl!!! I am so thrilled. Of course I'd be thrilled with whatever we were blessed with, but one of each makes me realize how lucky and truly blessed we are.

Carbev...glad to hear you are feeling better. M/S is one miserable feeling eh? I hadn't gotten sick in 23 years and the last 2 months it's been an almost daily occurrence. DH says I'm a professional. :(

Jen...I think the 20 week ultrasound is the 2D right? I hear it's amazing and well worth the wait. I'll be having mine around the same time as you.

Mom..Sounds like your little one is behaving like the little lady she just might be. It was much easier to see the boy on the sono yesterday for reasons other than the obvious. The girl was shy and took quite a while til she showed us her private area.

Wanna...How did your sono go? Any indication of what sex they are? Are you still sick? I'm wondering if the twin factor makes it last longer. I have a belly too and am definitely in maternity pants. They are so comfortable, I might stay in them even after I'm not pregnant anymore.

hugs to all and anyone I might've missed....
