Hello ladies!
How are you guys doing?
We went to the clinic this morning and it was the same doc as u/s #2. That guy manipulates the dildo...cam amazingly well I must say, LOL! If he was handsome, it would be ideal!

Seriously, he's very gentle and that was needed; my cysts are even bigger than with my first cycle I think. Around 5 cms. So I was glad he was gentle.
But wow,

my ovaries really DO look like GRAPES now, both of them. We're very happy (and I'm real proud!) because my left side reacted much more than last time. I really don't know how many they'll end up with, but it might be over twenty. We're delighted. Of course all depends on the fert rate and quality but hey, right now it's very encouraging.
So I got the big OK to trigger! I'll trigger this evening; EC is planned for Tuesday at 8:30am. I HOPE Susan will be there... she was the nurse who was with me through EC AND ET, we connected and she's absolutely an angel. I'll probably be the only one doing EC; I was the only one coming for a u/s. That's great; less waiting.
I can't tell you that I'm not a bit anxious. Coming back from the clinic, I was thinking about that needle in my ovaries... you can see it all during EC and it's not an image one particularly likes, even if it didn't hurt per se. Anyway. I'll stay calm and if it hurts, it hurts. It's a matter of minutes anyway. Waxing is worse, isn't it? And I get my bikini done once a month, so...

I'll just focus on the embryologist's voice counting the eggies, and my husband's hand on my cheek... and dear Susan!
So we did the groceries and I have stuff to make dinners till next Sunday!

Tomorrow I'll call those clients and reschedule them. I started a new cross-stitch project this weekend and that will keep me busy. Plus on Tuesday morning I'll make sure I have enough Tylenol to feed an army, a hot water bottle and all the Alan Rickman DVDs I can find in the house. If I'm on the merge of death after EC, at least I'll have his voice to keep me company till I meet my ominous end.

And if one of you dares ignore who he is, just type the name in Google, click on the first link that tempts you... I'll try not to say "duh!!!!!" but I don't promise anything! LOL
ltaylor: I'm sorry about your dog... that must have been quite something to watch. We, too, rescued our dog from a shelter and she's the sweetest and prettiest dog ever!

I hope this was an isolated event. I'm 28 years old.
mommytobe: woohoo on your follie count! Congratulations! So trigger should be tomorrow or Tuesday! Yay! You, Jul1e and I are really close; we'll be going through that 2ww together! And yes, you can eat sushi for now. Starting after ET, though, it's forbidden, unless the sushi is vegetarian. Raw fish contains some bacteria that might be harmful for the baby (not there when fish is cooked), but are totally harmless for you.
TansRN: hello sweet pea! I had a very nice and lazy weekend thank you! Have little choice; those meds really make me tired. SO GREAT to think that I'm rid of them! At least if I'm tired because of one or two little beanies, it will be natural!

CONGRATULATIONS on your 5 weeks mark! wooooooohoo!
Pat: your question is not silly at all. In lists, people usually use that abbreviation to remind people how long it is after transfer, and how old the embies were when they were transferred. I wrote the abbreviation after your pregnancy test date. I didn't know the date, so I left a question mark, but I knew your emby was a day 2. So now that I know your test date, it becomes 12dp2dt (12 days post 2 days transfer). Don't worry, I had to ask, too, before I figured it out.
gbnut: be very careful; the progesterone you're taking gives you the EXACT same symptoms you'd feel if you were pregnant... or were about to begin AF. YOU CANNOT TRUST THESE SYMPTOMS. Nausea, heartburn, dizzyness, sore boobs, firmer boobs, bigger boobs, cramps, brown spotting even red spotting, I've seen it all on this forum, and it might always be caused SOLELY by the progesterone you're taking. The ONLY way you'll know for sure if you're pregnant or not is if your blood test is positive. And that's why 2ww drives us all so crazy; your body will send you ALL kinds of messages. Don't trust any of them. Trust the test. As for the possibility of an infection, it's very easy and it's actually a diagnostic criteria. If the spotting smells *real* bad, then you probably have an infection. If it just smells you at the end of a very hot day after you've run 10 flights of stairs, then it's not an infection. Simple as that!
mandeeq: I'm so sorry to disappoint you, but those are probably not early signs at all. See the comment I just wrote to gbnut. I'm not saying you're not pregnant sweetie, you're PUPO after all (pregnant until proven otherwise) but just that you should not analyse those symptoms. But if you're 5 days after transfer, then your little ones are probably implanted by now. Yaaaay!
tpiper: yeah, it would be real cool to post on a twins forum together!
Jul1e: good luck at the clinic tomorrow! And thanks for sharing all that info with me!
My2LnT: you're so sweet my friend! Yes, I'm excited! Time will go by real fast now that I'm dreading that moment a little bit. Can't wait to be back home on Tuesday!

Congratulations on the nice beta! Nice and steady!

Can't wait for you to have that sonogram! woohoo!
Okay, gotta update that list and write to my friend in NYC. Take care ladies! Good evening,
Sophie
