Good afternoon ladies. Enjoying my first "official" day of vacation. Just relaxing around the house...cleaning....cooking....catching up on my soap oprahs (oh, how horrible to be hooked).

gbnut- I can't wait to get the results from you. Hopefully we have yet another BFP to add to the board. Will you be testing early in the moring, or later in the day?

angela- Keep thinking positive. It is so easy to get down, but just remember that the hormones are doing that to you. I too had a similiar situation...two implanted...nothing made it to the freezer...ended up pregnant. Sending all the best your way.

Sophie- I wil be having a baseline ultrasound on Friday. They will be examining my ovaries to detect a cyst. If there is a cyst, we will have to delay stimulation until the cysts resolve (usually in about a week). Last time I went through this, I did have a cyst, so we had to wait. If there are no cysts, I can start stimming.
Now will you be doing a HPT or have to wait for the bloodwork? I hope the EC goes well tomorrow.

Will do more posts later. Thinking since dd is napping, I should take advantage of it and take a nap as well.

As usual, you all have been very busy! Just got back fromour short vacation. Unfortunately, we only had one good day because of the rain!

Gbnut...Good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking about you. Keeping you and your husband in my thoughts and prayers.

Sophie...Since I am a day late...congrats on your trigger and good luck on the retrieval tomorrow. Thanks for responding to my question about your frosties. Thant makes sense now. I was a little skeptical about an FET...but I have 4 frozen, all blasts. So I am confident that at least 2 will make the thaw. Our clinic gives 90% survival rates at the thaw...so that looks good!

Marsha...I am so sorry to hear your news. One of my very close friends also has a bicorniated uterus and believe it or not...she got pregnant NATURALLY!!! They tried for three years...drugs, IUI, you name it. She was unsuccessful on her last IUI (she used Gonal-F), but 2 months later she was pregnant NATURALLY!!! So keep trying girl, don't give up. She didn't and they have a beautiful little boy! You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers!!!

LTaylor...my hopes are to transfer 2, but if for some reason they have to thaw the other vial and we end up with 3, then we will transfer 3. I believe that God has a plan for us and if there are 3 left after the thaw...then apparently that is what I am suppose to do. I will not dispose of any of my embryos. What are your plans for the transfer?

Mommytobe...Happy Anniversary! I love celebrating my anniversary with my husband! Enjoy yourselves!!!

Arizoniakiwi...sweetie, don't worry about what went on in the lab with the embryos. Yes, that was unfortunate, but you have to think about the "now" and the one that is snuggling in for the next nine months. I completely agree with Sophie. There are too many things that could have been operator error. Just look to the future!!! How are you feeling otherwise?

Everyone who were engaging in the TWIN CONVERSATION...I would be THRILLED to have twins! It has taken us so long to get to this point, and we only want two, that if it happens this way...then AWESOME!!! I realize that it would be hard physically and definitely down the road, but I would be ready!

Pat, I understand the money thing. We've been lucky enough to get our treatments on the national health so far so only have to start paying for number 3 if this one doesn't work. Hopefully this is it for you anyway but never say never, you don't know what's around the corner.

Angela, please try not to focus on the negative stuff of today. There's just no way of knowing what ones will work. It's a bit of a lottery I'm afraid, my embryologist today said you need to give IVF 3 goes just to beat the law of averages.

Jenn and Mandeeq, how are you too coping with the wait now? Hope you're doing well. June's just around the corner.

Sophie, you're on your way lady. Lots of luck for tomorrow hun.

mommytobe, my fellow fish lover! am most jealous of your suchi meal, we don't have great suchi restaurants here and it's my favourite food. whenever I'm in London or New York it's about all I eat! If I'm preggers it's going to be so hard to not have suchi and all that yummy shellfish! I had oysters again today in preparation for not being allowed them - I've never eaten so well! Happy Anniversary to you! Are you triggering tomorrow too?

Well, I'm to trigger tomorrow so ET on Thursday. Was really hoping it'd be Wednesday - just easier workwise but hey-ho. I met the embryologist for the first time and he was fab. He explained everything about my embies last time and about the pros and cons of blast transfers. I'm to ask for him when I call in to get my fertillisation on Friday and he'll try and guide me to make the right decision. He said that last time when I had a two day transfer the two that went back were clearly the front runners so if that were the case again he'd probably suggest getting them back in rather than going to blast but if there are more than two of such good quality it might be worth trying to get to blast to see which are the strongest! Oh it's sooooooooooooo complicated. He was very sweet though, he said whatever decision I make will be the right one! I'll just need to suss it as it happens. DH is happy to do whatever he and I think. So ET could be Saturday or Tuesday I guess. The clinic is closed on Sunday which is a bummer as that cuts out a three dayer and means my embies will not be checked on between Saturday and Monday if we're going for the 5 day. Any opinions I will gladly welcome.

Julie- so glad that you got to meet with the embriologist. It always makes one more comfortable when they are familiar with who will be working with and on you. Stink that the clinic will be closed on Sunday. However, just think positive. Everything will work out great. When do they decide exactly when the egg transfer will be? Don't you just hate the waiting game?

Jen- Glad that you are back from vacation. Sorry that it rained for all but one day. I was just talking to my sil about that today. Tired of the rain, but we so need it. However, I hate all the mosquitos it is bringing. Just never happy.
Grilled food always does taste better. We only grill in the spring due to weather. So, I love those few months...weeks that that happens.

Steph- Thanks for answering my question. I would have eventually figured it out...I think...just easier to ask.

Okay silly question. is there anyway to feel right now if I am developing cysts from the Lupron? Last time I had them, but cannot remember if I had any sort of pain or not. I am really wanting this cycle to go so smoothe. I have been feeling pretty good...a little tired, and have headaches, but all normal side effects of the Lupron.
Also, does anyone know if you stay on Lupron while taking the Gonal-F? Just trying to figure out how many more days of shots.

I don't know about knowing if you have cysts or not with the Lupron. I had one last summer but I could palpate it when lying down. It wasn't horrible pain just twinges here and there. Not sure on the real verdict! Also I stayed on half my dose through the whole stim process to keep my body in shut down mode. I know there are a million protocols but that is what my clinic does.

Good luck to you! I am so excited for you that you are going to be triggering already! That is so great! Woo Hoo go girl. It is so great that you can talk to the embryologist! I am hoping that your babies look good so that you can do your blast transfer...even if you do a 2 day or whatever I am hoping for the best looking embies!!! Yeah!! You are almost there...it is almost Christmas! LOL

I know how that feels. Like you have to go through all of this again if it doesnt work. It is disheartening. I can understand that totally. Hang in there and lets focus positive thoughts! I know it is hard I battle it everyday. I just have you refocus on what is going on right now and what we can and cannot change. That is all we can do. THEY GOT 21 EGGS!!!



It was more painful than last time, but it was definitely worth it! I was crying of joy and laughing on the surgery table, and all the way to the recovery room! I almost could not believe it! The surgeon was super nice; he kissed me on the forehead on his way out... so touching! LOL and the nurse told me I had produced my own football team! They told me to really watch for OHSS symptoms, but I have a hunch that I'll be just fine. I feel a bit dizzy and tired and a little sore, so that will be all for today ladies, but I'm sure thinking of you. And of course I'll check from time to time to have news of gbnut's result.

I can't wait to have the embryologist's call on Thursday to know our fert rate! The embryologist had had the time to look at my DH's sperm and she said it was perfect. 60 millions and good quality! YAY! Cheer the little soldiers! And Friday, transfer! Yes, sweet Tanya, I'LL BE PREGNANT ON FRIDAY!
