Oh ange that is so great that everything is going good, I so hope you get to get off bed rest that has to be torture, but we gotta do whats best huh!! I hope ur M/S gets better soon.
You are the first of us to know the sex, and one of each is great!!! I am so happy for you. I am anxiously still waiting til June 4th hoping to find out!! I don't care which it is I just want to know what it is. Tired of saying hesheit!!!

Has anyone else been feeling the babies move? I felt my first flutter at 11weeks but know I feel definite movement, I can't tell what part it is yet, but I know it is the baby. Which is awesome!!! Starts making this whole thing start to seem real. I am still in denial, I have not come to terms with being pregnant yet. I dont know if I will truly believe it til I deliver. After 14yrs of trying to get pregnant I guess my mind just won't let me believe it.

Anyway I am gonna start a new list and I will add to it so we will all know the sexes if you are not gonna find out let me know and I will post that too.

Okay, I could have swore that I posted this last week. I think I tried to but the sight was moving too slow and I closed the page while it was still processing. :-( Then I come here this morning and I'm wondering where my post went. :-( Well here it is again. Sorry if I leave something out.

Thursday we had out 16 week scan and we found out we are having a boy and a girl!! I’m so excited yet don’t want to get too excited yet. The u/s technician first told us that it might be too early to tell before she started scanning and said we would know for sure at the 20 week scan. But then during the scan she told us. Baby A is a girl and baby B is a boy. DH and I are so happy and excited. I just hope we get the same results at the 20 week scan. But if not, we’ll just tell everyone…opps, they were wrong. No biggie. I just know not to run out and purchase anything yet. LOL But everything looks great with the twins. They are both measuring exactly we’re they are suppose to. The boy is measuring a little bigger than the girl but not much. They are both around 5 ounces. The girl is a little more laid back. She moved for us during the u/s. But the boy was all over the place. He would not sit still. It took the technician a while to get all his measurements. She needed to measure his arm and couldn’t because he would not sit still. He was flipping all over the place. I think she was getting frustrated. LOL She said a 16 week u/s usually doesn’t take this long. LOL DH and I found it very funny and entertaining that he was all over the place. The technician did not. Finally she got the last measurement which was his arm. Everything measured just right for both of them. The only bad thing is that I have 3 fibroids. One is pretty big and right over the little girl. The doctor told me it was nothing to worry about and that they would stop growing in a few weeks. But I have been feeling a slight pain where the large fibroid is. SO the doctor says since the little girl is right underneath it she’s probably kicking it and that’s the pain I feel. I just that these fibroids don’t cause any harm to my babies.

Ange--That's so exciting. So you're having a boy and a girl also. I think that's so cool. I wonder if they do that on purpose. LOL But they probably dont know what they are putting back. It's just the luck of the draw. :-) Your sonogram sounded a lot like mine. We got to see everything on Friday. Heart, kidney, bladder. All that good stuff. The technician measured the head, arms, legs, etc. That's probably the most I have ever seen my little ones. I definitely think the twin factor has something to do with the m/s. I know having twins makes m/s worse because your hormones levels are higher with twins. Also, my doctor told me that when I am nauseous it usually means the babies are being active. I love maternity clothes also. I need to invest in some more. They are expensive. :-(

mom--Sorry your little one did not cooperate. But not much longer and you'll know. But at least when you find out you'll know for sure. I will probably spend the next 4 weeks wondering if the 16 week scan was correct. :-( Glad to hear he/she is healthy.

jen--You're so lucky. I’m not even sure if I've felt the babies move or not. LOL It might have been them, then again might have been gas. LOL I’ll be happy when I can distinguish between the two. What does it feel like?

carbev--WOW, sorry to hear about the mumps. You poor thing. You must have been miserable. Glad to hear that it did not affect your precious little one. It amazes me the things we go thru or take that do not affect our little ones. I guess they are stronger than we give them credit for. :-)

I'm still cramping a lot on and off. I hope that means they are growing. My friends tell me I have had a growth spurt. I look the same to me. LOL

Is anyone having trouble sleeping. I read it’s best to sleep on your left side. I start sleeping out on that side and then end up on my back which I hear is a big no no. Then I wake up every morning with a stiff back. I posted a question about a good sleeping pillow. No one has responded yet. :-(

Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs and kisses to you all and your baby bellies! :P

wanna- I have been feeling the movement for 2 weeks, started at 15 weeks. The Dr. said it is early to feel it, but They feel like fluttering in my lower pelvic area, They dont' happen all the time or at a certain time, but I can feel it. The first time it felt like someone was tapping me from the inside, 3 taps, and then after that, it feels like fluttering, or spasms. But I figured I get it more often and has to be the baby. The dr. said it most likely was.

Wanna that is great to have one of each. I use a regular body pillow to sleep with, I try my best to stay on my left side but usually am on my back before it over, I read somewhere that if you do go onto your back just turn back on your left side when you realize it. I usually sleep kinda on my belly/left with my leg propped up on a pillow to keep the weight off my belly.
Jen I felt my first flutter at 11 weeks, I knew immediatly that it wasn't gas, it felt like a bumble bee in my belly. Now I have even felt hard kicks/hits a few nights ago Tuffy was so active that I could feel it with my hand and I was listening with the bebesounds monitor and the baby would push against it so hard it would muffle it, which is not easy to do cause it is like a super stethoscope. It is really awesome, I don't feel it all the time but I know the babies movement compared to just gas.

Yeah, I got the Bebesounds monitor, I love it. I can hear the baby kick, and I can kind of hear the heart beat. The baby moves around so much that I lose it. It is fun to listen to. It takes alot of listening to realize what you are hearing. But I like to have it. Thanks for letting me know about it.

. Hi Ladies...

Greetings from a hospital bed. Just when I thought I had turned the corner from my hemorrhage at the beginning of the month, my amniotic sac ruptured last Thursday night. Needless to say it has been a one helluva week. Spent last Thursday in labor and delivery triage praying contractions wouldn't come. They had me hooked up to a monitor all night while loading me up with antibiotics which of course made me throw up. ARRGHHH!!! Long story short, they think the membrane was compromised from the hemorraging at the beginning of the month and it just burst. Basically my water broke which is not good at 5 months. Thankfully heartbeats were strong and I have been moved to a regular OB floor with constant monitoring. I have daily sono's and get to hear heartbeats 4x a day. It appears that I have resealed and that the fluid is replenishing
The babies chances were 50/50 and it looks like I came out on the right side. The sac that ruptured was the girls, same one that is giving me the placenta previa. She's a fighter though. Not sure when I'm getting out, but fortunately have a wonderful roommate who is also having twins and is here because she's 23 weeks and 2 cm dilated. DH is holding up although I thought last week he was going to collapse. One benefit of being here is that they are giving me IV with Reglan for nauseau so I haven't been sick and the nauseau is kept under control!

I hope everyone is doing well and feeling great!

Wanna...Congrats on one of each, isn't that just wonderful!!!

Mom...tell that little bugger to spread it's legs! Just a few more days and you'll know for sure

Sorry if I can't catch up on everyone right now, but need to lay flat.
hugs to all,
Ange

OMG Ange that had to be terrifying!! I am on the edge of my seat just reading your post. I am so glad that everything looks good. Bless your poor heart you have been through alot!! I will be praying for you and your family.

Jen Isn't that monitor jsut the neatest thing I love mine. I use it quite a bit, it is really neat to let other people hear the kicks and hiccups.

As for me IT'S A BOY!!!!! I had my sono and this time he was lying head down and butt up so it was easy to see, it was really funny though cause I bought a 32 oz diet coke (caffeinated of course) first one I have had in 5 months, to get this baby on the move. Well I will just say this if any of you need a boost go right ahead, cause I was wired to the gills, talking ninety miles an hour and tingly, Baby was sleeping soundly like nothing at all. Although later that evening around 8 he started to get more active but of course he is so little now it is just little punches nothing to bother you yet. It is great to feel.
I do have to admit though that I have been in true denial until I saw that little wanker. It was like someone slapped me right there on that table "Oomg, OOmg, OMG I am having a baby, I am having a boy baby!!!!! In 4 1/2 months I will be giving birth to a baby, a boy baby!!! After 14 yrs of waiting to be a mom, it is really happening. The shock is still there but no more denial. I am so happy I could just scream.

I do want to say though that you ladies have been a godsend!! You know that I do not have the most supportive partner. He is the true picture of a jerk, and with only a few close friends to share with, ithas been great to have you ladies. I dont know if I could have made it without you.

I THANK YOU AND MY LITTLE BOY THANKS YOU!!!!

Now we are gonna have to start thinking of names, if you have any let me know and I will post them.!!!

mominwaiting- I swear I am emotional today, I am reading your post. It is just a miracle that the IVF worked, and you waiting 14 years. It is just a happy feeling, I feel the same, can't believe in 4 1/2 months I will be a mom. How fun

Did any one else hear this- I was told by another IVF person at work that she went in 6 weeks early, and she said no one told her at the time, but people with IVF do have a higher chance of going early, mostly all of them do. Any else hear this? I have a feeling I might be early, something is just telling me, if not oh well. But I figured, I heard the hb earlier then you are suppose to, felt movement earlier, which dr was shocked, and showed earlier, so I can see going in early. We are going to have the baby shower earlier like last weekend in aug or second week in sept. I can't wait, only like 2-3 months to have this.

It is hitting me. I am using the bassinet my mom used for me, I just had to get the bedding for it. I ordered it on line, so it should be here soon. And I am getting my crib in like 2 weeks. Wait until I put that up. I will really be getting anxious. We find out the sex in 2 weeks, my dr is making me wait until 20 weeks. Then it is all down from there, I will be mid way. Can't believe this is even happening to me?

Memorial day weekend my husbands cousin had a baby boy, my cousin had a baby boy 2 days later, It really made me want my baby now, and Anxious for it to happen, I just want to skip the pregnancy part and have the baby in my arms. I am also getting more nervous. How does everyone else feel?

I had not heard of IVF being early but never really asked either. It is odd though because I think all of us have progressed earlier than people think we should. My RN tried to tell me at visit on mon that I wouldn't feel the baby for another couple of weeks. I told her I felt the first flutter at 11 weeks and that I feel full blown punches now. She had to recant and say that most first time moms did not feel it yet, the thing is they do they just dont know it. I believe we know it because we are so anxiously waiting for it. I have heard that the more in tune you are with your body the more you feel and experience when pregnant. The Dr told me that is why I have been having the contractions, he said everyone has them htey just don't feel them. Well I do lol!!! But I know what they are now and I dont worry as long as they are not worried. Cervix is closed tight so contract on.
I would not care if I was early as long as everything is ok. I know how you feel about wanting the baby here, all this time I have had people tell me "oh just adopt" which is fine but I have always said that I want to be pregnant, well now I am and now I want this baby NOW lol I am so impatient. I am so ready I cannot hardly stand it and this one you can't rush lol
I think it is really neat that you are using your own baby stuff, that is really sweet and a great thing you can share with your little one.
I have a bassinet that belonged to my godson and I havent found a crib yet but it is so great to be able to buy stuff now. I have been wanting to so badly but couldnt didnt know wht color to get. I went to Wal Mart yesterday and they had nearly all the baby stuff on sale, bought $200 worth of stuff, that included a highchair and a playsuite, cribset and clothes, IT WAS AWESOME.
Jen i cannnot wait for you to find out what you are having, it is like a huge weight is lifted off your shoulders, more for me than the 12 week mark was. It was like ok I am good and I am having a heathly baby boy, see ya next month. This is the first appt I have had to wait a month for and i have no prorblem with it. Before Mon I could hardly wait 2 weeks. lol
ANyway I will stop rambling now. Talk to you all later !!

I know exactally what you mean about being inpatient. And I know when things are happening, I am like, everything I read says it doesn't happen for another few weeks, well suprise, I must just be early with everything. So I think I will go early, just a feeling. I cannot wait until all of our baby stuff is up and ready. I got by bassinet bedding yesterday, put it on and put a blanket over it so it doesn't get dusty and dirty. My mom and DH said I should wait, but I like to look at it every day to remind me it is really happening. I figured it cannot get to dirty if I have it covered. But it makes me feel good to see. I never thought I would be here.

I remember when I was going through the IVF I was ok if I got a BFN because it is ment to be and we would adopt. And then I remember getting down because I was like I will never get to see what it was like to actually be pregnant. And now 5 months later Look where I am. I always said it was out of my hands, and if God wanted me to have a baby the IVF would work. I prayed that if I got a BFP that it was for the whole pg not just a BFP and then mc. And that is the way I thought through out the whole process. I don't know why God wanted us to go through it, I wish we didn't have too, but I am glad I got to experience it, and now I understand others. WHich no one can until it happens to them.

Look at me I am just rambling on. I guess I am just excited, can't wait. Just think 1 year from now we will all be parents of almost 7 month olds. Can you believe that. Well I have to run. Take care everyone.

Post by MommyTfive »

Wanted to update everyone that I had my u/s today and we found out we are having a girl. Heartrate was 164. I am so exicted. I can't wait to buy all this pink stuff. Does anyone know where to go look at some nurseries that other have decorated? I want to get some ideas before I go out buying stuff.

As for feeling the baby move I have been feeling it since last week.

I also have bedding in my bassinet so don't fret too much hun, you do whatever makes you feel closer to your baby!!!!!
Holy Smoke 7 month old babies this time next year, I had not thought of that, oh man that is gonna be so awesomely cool that is when they are so much fun!!
What day are you suppose to have your scan? I know at 20 weeks but when exactly is that?

Jen I was doing some searching and I found another person who had the same question as you about early delivery.
Go to Parents after Treatment "How Many Weeks Were You When You Gave Birth"
You'll get a kick out of some of the responses.
Hope this helps lol

tightening of the uterus

Post by MommyTfive »

Has anyone else been feeling this? When I move around alot I feel pain in my back and my stomach gets tight. I know Braxton Hicks are common in pregnancy, but this early?

I have two biological kids. A girl (14) a Boy (11), then I have three step kids who are just like my own since we have custody of all of them. They are girl (7) boy (11) boy (12). So this is going to even it all up for us.

I have my next u/s June 27th. That was suppose to be my anatomy u/s but I cheated and went to Early Images last week and paid to get the u/s. That's when we found out it was a girl. Lets pray on the 27th they come to the same conclusion. I have already went out and bought pink EVERYTHING!lol
