miscarriage rates higher ?

Post by pjwmeg »

:D Just got my beta today it is 140!!
I am excited. This was our last try. Did 4 IUI 1 ivf and 1 fet. Am very nervous. Are m/c rates higher when you do ivf and fet than a normal pg?

Thanks for any answers!!

They aren't higher because of the procedures but, the reasons for our infertility can cause a higher rate for mc.

Congratulations on your BFP!
I've been told that the M/C figures are slightly higher for IVF but that this is because IVF patients find out that they are pregnant earlier so more are recorded. I know its a lot easier said than done, but try not to worry, a first beta around 14dpo of 140 is fab. Take each day as it comes and take great comfort that once you've seen the heart beat (usually around 6wks)- 94% of pregnancies go to term after this!

Best wishes
