Hi I'm new in this thread. I'm thrilled there are others beginning right now and I wish the best of luck to you all!!!
I'm starting my Lupron on 6/1 and I'm a nervous wreck. This is my first IVF. I'm 35, DH is 29. I have stage 4 endo. I'm so scared of the needles and what side effects Lupron will have on me. I've actually been taking BCPs since 5/2. My stims will start on 6/11. My protocol is for Bravelle and Menopur. Anyone else on a similar protocol? My ovaries are in a really weird place behind my uterus and they're stuck there. My RE will have to go through the uterus to do the egg retrieval because my ovaries are not accessible through the vaginal wall. I'm sooooo very very nervous. My RE wants to do ICSI on half of the eggs we get and let the other half "do they're natural thing" This is all REALLY overwhelming to me!

hey rockrat, welcome! i started my lupron injections ysesterday in my stomach and it realy wasnt that bad the needles are so small. im on the lupron protocol and ill be using gonal-f anc hcg ive been on bcpsfor 3wks now bt just relax and im sure everything will go smothly and welcome again

u have come to the right place we all need each others suport during these tough times, I hope we all will be happy at the end of this journey.

Rockrat we have a lot in common, I too have stage 4 endo, & am starting my first IVF, also am 35

After lupron I will b on Gonal F. I had a lot of scar tissue/adhesions which were removed in a lap. Usually becoz of endo the ovaries r stuck Did u have a lap ?

My RE also says that ICSI will b done to half of the eggs & the other half natural

lets see, I'm excited & nervous as well. Starting lupron tomorrow.

hello there good to see you again! im doing well i am on day 2 of the lupron injections and the injections themselvs dont hurt. its goin really well the only thing im havin a small issue with are heaaches but not sure what thats about. other than that im ok. how are you? i stop the bcps on the 3rd ill continue the lupron then june 7th ill start the gonal-f and the lupron so we will see how giving myself 2 injections at a time will go haha. so we will see what happens. again welcome to the newbies good luck with you all who are going to be on your 2ww and i hope we all end up with a BFP at the end of this we deserv it! thank all you ladies for your help advice and support you have been a really great help hope to hear form you all soon!!!

hi brandi- just wanted to update you. got a bfn today. just means it wasn't the right time i guess. i'm disappointed but looking forward to trying again. thanks for all your support. and best of luck.

I will be cycling in June and testing in July. I would like to join the thread. As you can see, I had success with my first IVF cycle in 2005 and a BFN on the recent frozen blast cycle. I am hoping things go well this time around.

All I can suggest to those that have not been through this yet is to stay hydrated, drink plenty of water. I came down with OHSS and it was not good. My doc also suggests cutting down on physical activity which will be tough for me. Basically take care of yourself. Everyone reacts a little differently to the protocol.

I start Lupron on June 4 and have a baseline ultrasound on June 15. If all goes well, I will be then taking Follistim.

Bebe I'm sorry to hear about your BFN.

Mybaby...we definitely have so much in common! I just went for my injection teaching class this morning. The needle doesn't look that big but I'm still nervous! I don't think DH and I can afford to do this more than once so I'm just hoping with all my heart that it works!

Welcome Sher8, sounds like you're starting right along with us!

Hello,

I am new to the board and to ivf. I am soon to be 34. My DH is 34. We have been married for 10 years and have been ttc on and off for 5 years. I have been dianosed with stage 3 endo and have fibroid tumors. We have undergone 3 failed attempts with IUI. We are moving on to IVF. I start lupron tomorrow ( I dream't about it all last night!) I start gonal injections on 6/17. ER will occur around 6/26. We will also be utilizing ICSI. Only a few family members know that we are doing all of this and I felt this would be a good place to share with others. I'm not feeling too confident that this will work, but trying to be optimistic. Maybe this is normal. Any words of widsom would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Everyone!!! I’ve been posting on the May/June cycle thread, but I guess I should probably post here too because I start my Lupron injections on Monday June 4.

Sher8 – it looks like we’re starting off on the same day…I can’t wait!

Kerribell – WELCOME. I’m still fairly new to the boards and I’m definitely new to IFV. I also have fibroids and DH and I are doing ICSI too. I think it’s perfectly normal to be confused about how to feel because you want to be positive, yet you also want to be realistic. I’m choosing to go the positive route and leave it in God’s hands.

Mybaby – glad to read your post that the lupron injections aren’t that bad. I start Monday and I’ve been wondering about that

During my ultrasound last week, my RE found some fibroids (he doesn’t think they’re anything to worry about) so he’s doing my saline sonogram and mock transfer next Thursday so he can make absolutely sure that the fibroids are on the outer wall and not inside the uterine cavity.

Is anyone here doing acupuncture in addition to their IVF? Also, is anyone else journaling their experience?

I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you and sharing this experience.

Hi all, I have been lurking on this thread and have finally decided to post.

Bebe, I am so sorry to hear about your loss, I was really praying for you.

Here is my story. I have mild endo and PCOS. The mild endo has left behind lots of adhesions. My last Lap was in March of last year. At that time the fallopian tubes were melded to my bowel. It was fixed, but after they did a HSG it looks that they went back to where they were. Instead of doing another surgery we opted to go to IVF.

I start Lupron on June 3. I have been sharing in all the same emotions as most of you. There are times when I am just over excited, then others where I just get totaly negative. June 12 I get my baseline bloodwork and ultrasound then Follistim will start.

Right now I am eagerly antipating becoming a pin cushion.

Well not only are we starting on the same day, but it looks like we are also the same age. It will be nice to have some others to share this June/July journey with and I look forward to some BFPs in the end.

Someone usually keeps a list of those cycling and I am just not good at that. Maybe someone who is organized and can keep it up will come on board.

hello good to hear from you! as for me the injections are going well i hardly feel them but i have been pretty moody lately one min im happy the next im angry. i love my dh though he has pretty understanding and supportive. ive just here lately had this gut feeling that the first attempt is going to fail and i cant get rid of it. i want to be excited but i havent and i cant. i dont know why though my re says its possibly becuse of the meds so i dont know. i had an u/s yesterday and he says everything looks good and if all keeps going to plan i will start the gonal-f next thurs on the 7th so its starting to go quickly now. we are also doing the ivf with icsi and assisted hatching, does anybody know if that raises the chances of success or not? just crious.....so mybaby how are you doing how has everthing been going for you? to everyone else im bad with names but welcome these ladies are great help and this is great place if you need support only 1 person outside of my dh knows what we are goin through this is a great place! baby dust to all!!!
