no pregnancy symptoms

Post by StephanieD »

Hi all,

I am starting to freak out b/c I have absolutely no pregnancy symptoms, except for blue lines on my breasts. In fact, I feel great. My symptoms have been gone for almost one week now (I was bloated, nauseous, and always hungry- don't know if those were related to progesterone injections or to pregnancy). I was reading through some old posts, and I saw that some of the people who were in a similar place like mine, ended up mc'ing.
My ultrasound is tomorrow and I am fearing the worst. I don't know if it's b/c we had to go through so much just to get pregnant or if I'm just being incredibly high-strung and anxious.
I'm trying to stay positive, but it's just so hard.
Please I need some encouragement!

Thanks!
Me- 29. Blocked fallopian tube.
DH- 29. Low count; no motility.
First IVF cycle 5/07- BFP!!!!!!!!!

Stephanie,

Please don't worry. I know you've heard that lots of people go the entire pregnancy with no symptoms. As a matter of fact, I did with my first pregnancy. You are still very early and symptoms usually don't start until 6 weeks onward. You will probably have a wonderful, energetic pregnancy.

Try to relax. Can't wait to hear from you tomorrow.

Mattie

Hi Stephanie,

It is very common to lose the symptoms especially were you are in weeks. You will probably start getting morning sickness and fatigue again around 8-10 weeks. I lost my signs but they came back strong at 8 weeks. Normally the symptoms that you had early on was from the progesterone and when they return it is around the time a "normal pregnancy" would start symptoms. Please try not to worry as you are exhibiting the same symptoms as we all did. I wish you all the best with your pregnancy!

I'm 12 weeks pg with twins & haven't been sick or had any pg symptoms at all & both babies are still fine. it's scary not being sick but, now that I am this far I consider it a blessing that I wasn't sick.

Again, I am 21 weeks pg w/ twins and had literaly next to nothing the entire time. I had a fabulous first 15 weeks and only then did I have any signs of pregnancy. Don't worry as hard as it is and just enjoy the small period of time when we can carry them with us every where we go. It's scary but focus on the good. Best wishes!

Stephanie

I've told you before that I haven't had any symptoms either and I get an u/s each week. Each week the HB has been higher and now it's at 169. NO SYMPTOMS. The fact that you ever had them is a good thing. Don't fear the worst. Please keep us updated.

Thanks everyone for your answers and support. I feel better after reading all your replies (& getting out of the house). I'm a neurotic person at baseline, so now I feel like all my neuroses are heightened!

I'll keep everyone updated as my first ultrasound is tomorrow!
Praying for a healthy beanie!
