Sex of baby(s)

Sorry about all these posts....have loads of questions

Both the NHS hospitals in the area have a no sexing policy, which is a shame as we would love to know? But we do have the option of going for a private scan, which will cost £175.00 to sex the babies.................Thats the price of a double buggie

Who is else is going to find out?

Love Mags

I want to find out too Mags - I'm not sure on the policy here, but If the clinic can do it at the 12 weeks one - I'll ask then because I'm paying for that one anyway.

I'm desperate to know!

Hi Girls,

Hate to dash your hopes but, the sex of the babies will not be apparent until the 20 week scan. Strange how some NHS Hospitals will tell you and some won't. Ours told us...well, it was kinda obvious (boy).

Best of luck,
Scorry (old timer)

Hi Mags

I was just going to say same as Scorry above.... the sex can't be seen on a scan till 20 week scan so you'll have to wait a bit longer!

I can't decide whether to ask or not. In a way I'd like to know, but hubby definately doesn't - he wants to wait for the surprise on delivery day so we might just wait and see what they are???

Good luck everyone & take care of those bumps!

Luv Rachel X

Mags,

I initially wanted to find out and dh didn't so we decided not to ask, best thing we ever did!! It was the only bright spot at the end of the pg and even though hubby was totally convinced it was two girls we of course got Rebecca and Ross so it was an extra thrill.

Also unless you go for the private scans the accuracy I believe is not so great. We know a couple who were told it was two boys and they ended up with two girls...had to completely re-decorate the nursery!!!

I do think there are so few surprises in life anymore that to take away this one can be a bit of a dissapointment. But then again I am fairly laid back and love surprises so each to their own. Whatever you decide good luck.

Take Care
Nicky

We're not sure if we want to know. It's 60/40 in favour of asking. Our hospital will tell as long as you both want to know - which is fare enough.

best wishes to all

We asked during the scan and despite being there for a while and prodding baby gently so it would move it wouldn't! Result - baby kept its' legs crossed and we still don't know!

Am secretly quite pleased - as am now looking forward to DH telling me on the day!

Love to you all whatever you decide - bur remember baby might have other plans!!!

Love Eve
xx

Hi all
Each to their own but DH and I both wanted to know the sex. We had a private scan but I have to say there was no mistaking the sex, definitely a boy. Mind you even the face looked the spit of DH...scary.
It's been so nice finding out becuase you really start to bond with the baby as a person and not just an "it", we even know what we are going to call him..Joshua so now we can even talk to him as a name.
I'd find out every-time as I think there will be enough surprises or to keep us interested on d-day...ouch :-)
LOL
Terri
xxx

Hi everyone
We found out at 20 week scan - tried to find out at 16 weeks but they couldn't see. It was a difficult decision to make whether to know or not. I am pleased we know now because I am 90% certain of the names and have been talking and referring to them. Part of me wishes we had kept it a surprise. Good luck with your decisions.
Lots of love
Louise XXX
