Good Afternoon...we just got back from Mexico yesterday, due to start IVF in July, I have been waiting for AF to start BC, hasn't come yet, 2 days late. I took PT yesterday and today both ++, I am very nervous and concerned, MC in January. I plan to go to DR ASAP but a little help would be great. thanks in advance, I just want to get feedback on how this could happen given track record and hear any simular stories about how I now deal now

Noodle...I had a natural bfp earlier this year. I still am not quite sure how it happened. Our problem has always been male infertility. We had just gone through our first ivf in November which ended in a bfn and I was waiting for af to arrive so we could start fet. It still hasn't arrived :D
When we were switched at 10 weeks from our specialist to our regular obgyn, she said that she gets several patients every year who are going through the ivf process only to have a natural conception occur. She said she thinks it's probably a combination of all the drugs that I was on, plus a little help from above. It just goes to show that although the medical community is great, there is still a lot they don't know. And that miracles do happen!

I'm hoping everything works out for you. When are you going into the doc to have it confirmed? Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks Meg for the reply, hopefully I can get in tomorrow, I'm concerned about my levels, my preg in January, levels very low throughout. We are trying to be cautious considering what we have already been through this year, its hard though when all you want to do is jump for joy. Did you continue a work out regimine? Maybe I have the wrong Meg, let me know, today was the first day I couldn't do my entire set, but I think that was only because I was more aware of discomfort (maybe even looking for it a little). thanks again

I've definitely cut down on the workouts, but it's been fairly gradual. I quit my ab workouts right away but continued to do cardio....and a little strength training but not much. I try to walk the dog everyday (about 45 min at brisk pace) and I do half an hour 4-5 times a week on the elliptical...However, I eat like a freaking pig so I've gained way too much weight. My doctor doesn't seem too concerned, though, so that's good. It's scary working out though---I hate to take chances at this point!]

I'm so excited for you! Hopefully the doc will put you on some progesterone right away so you don't have to worry about that (right, the worry will just disappear, I'm sure!)

Keep me updated!

I went to DR this AM, it was CD 9 in cycle so they had to send out BW, so will not know anything more until tomorrow. Oh, the waiting. Thanks to all, we are still a little wary that it's true. My nausea tells me it's true though, won't get excited until we hear HB, last time was entirely to devastasting. Thanks again, i'll let you know.

I'm so happy and excited for you! Let us know the second you get confirmation, although it sounds like that's pretty much frivilous at this point! Welcome to the 9 months of panic

Hi Noodle, CONGRATULATIONS .....the same happened to me this month, waiting and waiting for AF to show and low and behold, I was pregnant naturally!!!!

We are due our heartbeat scan next week (which is where it all went wrong for us last year too) so nervous and excited at the same time.

I did go for a scan earlier but it was too early (4wks) and they couldn't see anything so make sure they don't send you in too early as it was hell waiting for the following scan but thankfully we saw a sac etc but too early for h/beat.

I'm positive that this beanie will stick around, well he managed to get there on his own accord  without any medical help!!

Meg - interested in what so of work out you do, I've been to frightened since finding out but going to gym tonight for a light work out !

Good luck noodle, let us know how the bw goes

Hi

Congratulations on your bfp.

We have male and female problems but some how managed to get pregnant naturally while waiting for treatment.
My little boy joe is now 13 months.
I was so nervous the start of the pregnancy and couldn't quite believe it. I was convinced someone was going to tell me it was all a big mistake.
Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly. enjoy!!

hi...congratulations on your natural BFP!!!! have a healthy 9 months

i just had a BFN on my first try of IVF.... hopefully in two month's time, i get a natural BFP too..... just last friday, as i was sitting in my doctor's office, the lady who came in told us a story.. she said she's suppose to have surgery for a fibroid or whatever but then few days before, she didnt get her period and she said she's usually a clockwork...so she tested and it's ++ .... so she called up the clinic to let them know there's no surgery any time soon....

those are the kind of stories that help us women who got BFN get through and have faith and hope... thanks for sharing stories here... it surely gave me hope.....

Noodle:

That is wonderful news! It happened to us too. After 2-IUI's and 2-IVF's, I became pregnant while waiting to start a frozen cycle. My AF never came, as I was pregnant. I delivered a healthy baby boy on 2/28/07.
It can happen. I believe our problem was implantation. We had an HSG procedure (where they shoot dye through your tubes) just prior to the natural pregnancy and I think it may have helped. According to my RE, this HSG procedure increases your chances of becoming pregnant for a couple of cycles.

Take care,
Tammy

Thanks for all the great stories and good wishes. We are still playing it safe until 1st HB. HCG 315 and DR said strong prog, no need to take additional meds. I'll let you know, please keep your fingers and toes all crossed for us.

Congrats, Noodle! Don't even think about the hcg number.....I drove myself crazy with that damned thing--wish I had never even known about it. Isn't it great not having to do the shots? Oh, I'm so excited for you!
