DIUI Pregnancy

Post by Polly12 »

Im thrilled to tell you have a BFP from my first Donor IUI - i am approx 4.5 weeks. I couldnt' be happier and i know its still VERY early days but this is the first good news ive had in months on the TTC journey and infertility rollercoaster.
I had a completely natural cycle with no meds at all (no HCG shots or anything) so i am very blessed that we only have male factor problems (can't believe that there is something in this nightmare to be grateful for!).

I just want to encourage every woman on this site and while my journey is long from over, i have reached a milestone that i couldn't not imagine and even though there is many many things that can send me back to square one, i have to remain positive and have faith.

Thanks for the incredible support from the ladies on here, especially Gargy. I am not leaving this site however just want to tell you how wonderful you are and you will never know how much sharing my very personal journey with you has helped me so much.

I will forever be greatful and i know that good things come to those who wait. Can't wait to see more stories similar to my own soon.

Take Care
A very very happy Polly.
Its not our ideal way of having a family, but i know its going to be our ideal family.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Polly I am so happy for you. Thank God you got a BFP. I however, just got back from my ultrasound and he says I have OHSS so we have to abandon this cycle. So he did not give me HCG but I have 3 eggs in one ovary and 3 eggs in the other. Does anyone know if I will ovulate on my own? And if I do, what would happen if I go ahead and inseminate. When will I ovulate after stoping the injections? Please help. CONGRATULATIONS POLLY :D

Henrietta
I was under the awareness that because we are chemically induced for our cycles it is rare to ovulate on your own without the HCG. That is what my RE said but I havent looked into it much. Anyone else with any ideas? I am so sorry to hear that. I know how disappointing it is to have to abandon the cycle.

Henrietta...I might be wrong, but I'm thinking if you usually ovulate on your own, you very well might this time. I'm just thinking that because I know during my cycle I had to do injections several times to stop ovulating while stimming and then of course did the trigger shot to get the ovulation going. I might be totally wrong, though!

Polly--Congrats!

Hi Polly,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I am soooooooooooooooo happy for you :D
Can you believe that on May 30th I am in the middle of Croatia thinking about you testing? :D I had a great holiday and didn't want to come home but one of the first things I did was to check this site. As you say early days but I have everything crossed for you and am absolutely ecstatic about the news. Hope DH is ok too, must be a little bit hard for him but it will be your ideal family :D Now you can really prepare that bassinet - Woohoo!!!
Take care of that sticky bean and pop back to see how we're going in July. AF was a day late this month and I allowed myself a little hope but not our month this time :(
Take good care of yourself,
Jane

Hi Henrietta,

Thanks Polly, Jane I will wait for June 22nd. the doctor says I have not been able to get pregnant because of premature ovulation and sometimes I don't ovulate at all plus my age 42. So he says best thing is IVF with my own eggs. He says my egg quality does not look bad. My FSH is 4.5 on day 10 of cycle and he says that is very good for my age.

Hi Polly, hi Henrietta,
Just wanted to see how you ladies are doing.
Polly, how are you feeling?
Henrietta, how did your IVF consultation go?
I have an ultrasound on Friday (day 8 of my cycle) and I'm getting excited about the IUI which will be around 10th / 11th July.
Have a good weekend,
Jane
