Hi Everyone – I haven’t posted in a few days because I was a little depressed about the fibroids, but I’ve been reading on a daily basis.

Sophie – Your husband is a very wise and sweet man!!!! I’m anxiously waiting on tomorrow for you…cause your babies are coming back HOME! :D

Julie and Mommytobe– here’s to HIGH QUALITY eggs  . Do you guys know when your babies are coming back home? Will it be during the weekend?

Jen – Tuesday will be here before you know it!!!!! Yes, you’ve got the right idea, have a ball this weekend so you can enjoy the pampering you’ll receive over the next nine months 8)

Steph – I’m praying that your numbers double tomorrow. BTW, you’re right up the road from me. I live in Richmond, but I work at Quantico. We must get our babies together for play dates :!:

Update on me – I had an appointment with my RE this past Tuesday so he could check out the fibroids that my gyn found last week during my yearly exam. The dildocam found a few (very little) cycts on my left ovary but none on the right…he said that’s not anything to be concerned about. He did see the fibroids on my uterus (he saw 3 of them). He twisted and shifted that ‘cam for what seemed like an eternity  , but I knew he had to make sure he could see all the fibroids and measure them, so I tolerated it. Maybe it’s just me, but does anyone else feel kinda weird having DH watch them get a pelvic exam? UGH…ok, anyway, his recommendation is that I not have the fibroids removed. He agrees with my gyn in that they probably won’t pose a problem with our IVF (the biggest hurdle is my age – 39). While he did admit that fibroids on the uterus does not make it an OPTIMAL condition for IVF he doesn’t think it’ll be a big concern in our case because it doesn’t look like the fibroids are inside the uterine cavity and they’re not that big. To be extra sure, he’s doing a saline sonogram, and mock transfer next Thursday.

After he confirmed the fibroids, I started getting a little depressed and almost called the whole thing off…but I don’t like regrets, ya know? Like, I’d hate to be 70 years old wondering “…what if?…” so we’re going to move forward as planned (unless he finds something INSIDE the cavity, then I’ll give it more thought).

In the meantime, I start my lupron injections on Monday. OMG, the administrative assistant just called, I received a package and I’m sure it’s the lupron. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy – this is soooooooo exciting.

Oh, other negative news is that the embryologist recommended we go with ICSI…. It’s more costly, but I hear that there’s a higher probability that more eggs will fertilize with ICSI, so I’m not bummed out about it.

OH, and the best news I got that day was that my FSH is 6.8. …oh yeah baby, there’s always a silver lining.

Ok, I’m going to pick up my lupron before the admin gets nosey…hee hee.

Hey girls-

I have talked to the clinic this morning. They will test me Monday instead of tomorrow since I had the HCG booster last week. Tomorrow is our anniversary and I really didn't want to get bad news anyway. I have been cramping and crying for 2 days now.

So my beta is June 4 now.

I have been reading and see you are all doing well. I will try to be a better poster. Things have been crazy here lately with company, and then my little break down Tues. and Wed. Good luck to you all!

Tanya- I think you did the booster like me?? How long does the HCG booster stay with you? I had mine last Friday. It was .5cc is that what you had? Just wondering in case I want to POAS sunday.

Take care everyone!
Jenn

So sorry to hear that you have been cramping and crying. Are you crying because you are hormonal or because you are cramping? I also did the same shot. I POASed every day and I don't think that it made that big of a difference. .5cc is not a lot at all. I think that you would be fine to POAS on Sunday because that would have been 10 days post shot. You should be ok with that. Anyone else with ideas on that?

tpiper
So sorry to hear about your fibroids...that stinks. The only time that DH has been in the room with me while I have had a pelvic was when I had the m/c and at that point I didn't care and for the transfer. That is it. I was fine with it because he didn't stare or anything like and make me feel weird. You have to give it a shot. No sense wondering while you are aging. I don't want to live with regrets either.

It is freaking hot today. Just thought that I would say that. I had to walk to north campus today and thought that I would have keeled over...

Tans- thank you for replying! I think I was crying b/c I am hormonal AND b/c I had cramps!! I'm just a mess! The cramps made me feel like it is over. They come and go. Did you have any cramping? Some people tell me that is normal and not to worry, but it just feels like AF! What else can we do but worry with every little twinge we feel?

THE 2WW IS NOT FUN!!

Hey Jenn- I can say don't worry but then I would have to listen to myself soooo.. Damn... OK I have been cramping since 2ww and some have been rather sharp.... And still having them with backache BUT they say it is normal and heyyyyyy I gotta try to believe them SO DO YOU!!!! I wish you all the best with that BFP I won't say relax I will say don't cry too much because it very well could be for nothing.. OK. Stay positive no matter how hard it is.Yeah I read on the other post that the small HCG shot is outta your system in 7 days.

Tanya - Did ya get in early for that sono yet? How ya feeling? Anything new?Yeah just when you think AF is gone gone gone she makes sure she leaves ya a gift to remember her by.. What a *****.. LOL I went to PCP and they are treating me for symptoms of UTI with out it showing in fresh sample(sorry TMI) but I hope that it works and that is the reason for most of the uncomfortable feelings I have been having. BTW nice ticker!!!!

tpiper55 - thanks for positive thoughts.. I hope your not too down today if they say don't worry I know it is impossible not to no matter what they say. There have been women that post with cysts and stuff that disappeared after they started their cycle.. So best of luck and I can't wait to see you with a BFP to!!!! All those feeling we all have had them you think to go thru IVF none of us are in our right minds,,,, think about it How many people really get excited about stabbing themselves all the time??? LOL My X MIL works on Quantico.. That would be cool to have the kids have a play date.

gbnut - Hope things are going well with you.... Thanks for best wishes

Sophie - Oh hon best of luck... Congrats on getting babies back tomorrow to snuggle in for the next 9 months!!

Jul1e - I felt the same way this last time we only got 10 the time before we had 17 which ended in a BFN this time with less we got so so much more a BFP So don't give up I did at first but as they say quality over quantity. I hope things work to your favor.

OK as for me WOW when I was at RE office I was rather sad I just wanted to do b/w and get out... I was so sure that it was to be bad news.. Anyway I passed Dr on way out and she was really nice and was talking about my b/w and said that the cramps and backache were indeed normal.. NOT to worry ha ha I said to that.... So she actually knew that my number was around 850 last check (wow without looking at my file hummm pretty good) I told her I was really bummed that it did not double and I had to cancel sono to do another beta... SHE said don't worry about it she was so sure that things were going to be OK she said to schedule sono for TOMORROW Woo hoo. Well damn she and all of you and DH were right my beta went from 852 all the way to 1829!!!! So I am cautiously over joyed!!!!

Thank you all for all your support!!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies,

Sophie: Sticky baby dust tomorrow when you bring your babies home. Thanks for the tips on the pain  I have been taking tylenol ok so far. The nurse told me today that its normal to have this pain and going to the release my bladder which hurts as well, I can't wait for this to pass. Lots of rest and R and R.

Pat: Thanks for your support, can't wait to be in the 2ww. How is it going for you. It will be over and you will get that BFP :D

Tanya: Yes yes lots of eggs and lots of pain to come with with, no pain no gain. last night was crazy went to relieve my bladder like a 100 times could not sleep, nurse said its normal because of the numbers and it will get better and i should take tylenol, which I am, so far so good.

Toni: Don't you worry about the fibriods, i have a small one too not in the lining so you should be fine. I am happy you will take that chance to move forward without any regrets. Think about it so many women gets pregnant naturally who has fibriods etc and have a healthy baby. We are just a bit more special because we see it all clear before baby gets comfy. so you should be fine. 39, girl you are still young, ,my girlfriend is pregnant at 40 right now, my other girlfriend just had a baby at 40 and I could go on and on. So don't even think of your age.

On Me: Got my fert report today, i have 12 and a possible 13 by tomorrow   :D so filled with emotions. I am so greatful that at least half of them made it this far. I know it only takes one, so I am happy. I keep thinking of them all day amd I crazy. My ET will be on monday the 4th at 2:15pm. Sooo excited. I can't believe I made it this far. I could not have done it without you ladies on this forum. Thank you.

Tanya
I’m dying to know the result, but I aren’t to optimistic as our other 4 didn’t survive to be frozen and it was only a 5 cell they put back so I know our chances are rather slim but I am trying to stay positive and believe that the little one they put back is surviving. I have been feeling a as if AF is about to arrive for the last day, my head is feeling rather fuzzy and I’m feeling a little queasy – I don’t know if it just nerves about the whole thing or the fact I am still run down with my cold…. I don’t know….. Tuesday seems a long way away at present. The first part of the wait was definitely easier than today and the next few days. It is all I can think about at present, one moment I am believing we have a little fighter in there and the next I feel we are going to have to start from the beginning all over again…..

Jules
I hope you had a good sleep and are feeling a little better. It can be really disappointing to get fewer eggs than you were expecting but it is better to have 7 strong eggs than lots and lots that aren’t so strong. I hope you get a wonderful fert rate and you have lots of little fighters growing as we speak.

Pat
Doesn’t the 2WW get hard at times? Do you have any plans this weekend to distract you a little?

Sophie
Glad you aren’t so swollen today but I am sorry you are feeling disappointed.
It is better to have 5-10 strong ones than 15 – 20 that are struggling. We can look at statistics all we want and work out what the chances are etc but that can drive you crazy at times. At the end of the day nothing will be totally reassuring for any of us until we get the BFP (or probably in reality a darling little baby 9 months later….). Remember it only takes one. (I am trying to keep that thought going in my mind….)
With the 4 you already have frozen and possibly having 6 or more to spare after your 2 little ones are put back tomorrow you will potentially have 10 little frozen little ones – that’s a pretty good number to have left. Hang in there, let your DH be your strength and work that PMA for your 2 little ones that will be coming home to mommy tomorrow morning.

Jenn
I feel a little like you, The first part of the await was easier than is it now because of the feeling that AF is coming. I am worried that each time I go to the bathroom it will be all over. I test on Tuesday (which will be Monday your time) so we will be testing together. I really hope they are just aches and pains to test us and we will both be pleasantly surprised with a BFP. Happy anniversary for tomorrow. Do you have anything special planned?

Shantala
Not long till you start. Your clinic will have a much better idea about how your body responds after last time and you will have a much better idea about what to expect also.

Steph
Congratulations – I hope you are feeling reassured and good about how well your little one is doing – not long till you US

Tia
Congratulations – your little ones are doing so well.

Jen
Not long till your little one / ones are home again – are they transferring 1 or 2?
Sushi, a nice glass of wine and a good cup of coffee are the 3 things I think I will really miss.

Tia
Congratulations – your little ones are doing so well.
I hope the pain is subsiding I was also surprised how much discomfort I was in the following couple of days, but it does pass and you will start to feel better soon.

I’m feeling better and my cold and coughing are on their way out finally. I’m going to spend the rest of the day giving the house a tidy up. It is a long weekend here (Queens Birthday weekend) Does any one have a few suggestions to keep my mind on other things for the next few days?

Good morning ladies,

Thank you for all your lovely support, it really means a lot. I don't have time to read everything just now or to do much of a post as I'm so busy with work (Fri and Sat being my busiest days). Anyhoo, just wanted to let you know that 7/7 fertillised! Woo hoo. :D Am very pleased. Have to wait 'til tomorrow to find out if I'm doing a two or five day transfer.

On the down side my poor doggie is in for an operation today. His growth thingy on his face is getting taken off. It's only small but the vet wanted it off so I had to leave him this morning. It was horrible, he was trying so hard to get away from the vet to come with his mummy, I cried the whole way home :( It's a very routine thing so I'm sure he'll be fine though.

What an emotional rollercoaster!

I'll catch up with everyone tonight. Good luck to everyone. Sophie I hope the transfer goes really well, thinking of you.

Well girl's, I've been strong up until now. Today I'm fed-up, very tearful and not feeling very positive for my test on Monday. Been ttc for coming up 9 years now, I've never fallen pregnant before, so I don't hold out much hope for myself on Monday.

Hope you are all ok.

Hi everyone

Julie Great news about your 7 little fighters. Hope your little doggie coped ok with her OP. You asked about IVIG it is a Blood plasma treatment which helps my immune system. it coats my NKcells and stops them working as well.

Shantala Hope your Af comes on Sunday. Can i ask did your clinic do blood tests as well as ascan when you were on your stims??? Sounds like the clinic should have left you a day or two longer rather than your trigger.

Steph Glad your beta went well. good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Jen Rollon Tue foryour FET. All the very best. It worked for me so hope it does for you..

Tia Great news on your 12/13 embryos hope they are doing well. i had pain on my first IVF an dit will pass after a few days. Keep drinking water and this will make you feel better and less bloated. Best of luck for ET on Monday.

Angela and Jenn Af type pains are good pleaese stay positive. are any of you going to test early?????? Do you have any other symptoms??? Find something to do over the weekend that invloveds you and DH and will take your mind off things. Jenn hope yoiu have a good anniversary today.

Pat and Manddeeq How is the 2ww going apart from driving you crazy??? are you going to be bad and test early???? How are your symptoms??? although they are all related to your progesterone.

Sophie hope today has gone well and you ahve two little ones safely onboard. Take care and enjoy your 2ww.

Tanya best of luck for your scan.

Toni Great news that you are about to start. sorry about your fibroids but they can get round them. my pelvis is covered in endo and i have managed it!!!!

Hi to everyone else hope you are all well
