Em- Sorry to hear that you are sick, but I am glad it is an infection and not pre-eclampsia. I was worried you would be stuck in the hospital until you delivered. There are several anitbiotics that are safe during pregnancy, so hopefully your doctor can prescribe something to help you get better soon.

The babies go to the doctor tomorrow, so I will see how much weigh they've gained.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi guys,

I have a date! If they haven't come on their own, I am going to be either induced or Caesared on the 18th June! That will be 37 weeks exactly. My Doc believes that everything is in my favour at the moment to have a vaginal delivery and so I am going to give it a go. But will resort to an emergency Caesar if things change at all. In Oz, they give all twins epidurals anyway, so I won't feel anything either way, may as well try to reduce the recovery time.

I am so pleased to have a plan finally and know that now I will be able to wait these next two weeks.....hey its just like being on the 2ww again!

Laura - good luck with your doc appointment - hope they boys get great reports!

Kim and Di - have you guys set a date yet? Are you definately having Caesar's?

Kimberley - I read how little your bubs are and did a double take - I thougt you were only just behind me in dates for a moment. Its great that they are so close in size.

Time for a nap.

Em--good for you to have a plan now! I'm honestly jealous that you're doc will even consider a vaginal delivery for you. Mine won't consider it. Even when both babes were head down, he wanted to do a section since it's my first delivery. And now that baby B is breech, there's NO way he'll even consider a vaginal delivery. So, I'm stuck with a section. No date for me yet, but I think we're going to schedule at my next appt. which is tuesday. I wonder which of us will go first? I'll be 37 weeks on June 15th. So, the race is on, girl! :)

Di--I hope you're well...haven't heard from you in a while. Are your bubs still on board?

Hi Ladies,

LauraLou, the boys look great..so cute together.

Xrayem, you already have a date. I am so excited for you. Can't wait to see pictures of your new babies.

Kimberly, How's your little boy and girl doing in there. Did you have your anatomy scan yet??

I have my 20 week scan today and they did all the babies anatomy. It was such a relief to see that everything is well and the babies are perfect.
They are so incredibly lively. The poor sonographer had a right time getting measurements, pictures, etc. She thought I had some chocolate beforehand but I didn't (apparently chocolate gets them all excited).
What's funny is they never kick at night time when I sleep. I think they are like their dad. As soon as head hits the pillow, he is asleep. Hopefully the babies will be the same.

Hope everyone else is well. Love reading up on everyone.

Lisa--Glad your scan went well! I love it when they're all active during the scans....it gives you more to look at! :) I can't remember, are you finding out what sex they are? Or, are you staying in the "dark" like me?

I have another NST tomorrow. Maybe I'll try the chocolate trick to get them moving and shaking....they need to be moving for the test!

Have a great day gals!

Kim - I had the best night sleep last night and I know its because now I know that there is an end in sight, I am not stressing about when it will al happen! I'm a control freak and don't do well with the unknown unless I have a plan of attack. Ask your doc for a date and you will be amazed at how chilled out you become!

I sprung out of bed this morning to get the washing on and finishing off all the little jobs that I just haven't been motivated to do.

Hope you are all well.

Hi all

Yes, we are still around :) although not long to go!

LauraLou your boys look great! They are progressing really well you must be so pleased :D I agree with you re the c section - get up as early as possible - In the past - I know I recovered quicker when I did.

Macca - Lisa that is great that all is well - are you finding out the sex? or did I miss something a long the way!

Buckeyegal - great your appointment went well - not long now!

Kholtan - photos are a must - I am dying to see your nursery!

Em - glad you are feeling better and that you have a date. I also have a date of the 5th July if we don't have the babies before then. I also have a nephew who is named Jasper - his brother is Oscar.

Woo Hoo we are 33wks and 1 day today! Yes, we are very pleased that our babies are a good weight - if they come early then that will help them. Have not been around much as I am madly studying for my exam which is due on the 14th June - I REALLY hope we don't have our babies before then as I do not want to defer my exam - it will be a noose around my neck if that happens.

Hi to every one I have missed - hope things are well and not too uncomfortable :D

Good evening mommies!

Di~ So nice to see you! I think I have forgotten but what is your exam for? No matter what I hope you do really well on it. I bet knowing when the babies will be here, if not before, is such a relief. It seems like the 2-4 week early marker my OB gave me leaves me witha large window. There are going to be so many summer twins!!! I'm getting excited already!

Em~ The date is right around the corner! Is it bringing on your "nesting" phase like crazy? I can't wait to see your pics! Between you and Kim there will be some deleivery stories soon with Di shortly after! YEAH!

Lisa~ Congrats on a great scan! Wasn't it a blast to hang out with your babies for so long? Ours went great. Both measured right where they should and our daughter was a buzzy little bee. Our little guy was more relaxed but both babies respond to one another's kicks which is so sweet. Beyond getting this huge belly I really love this phase since the babies seem so alive and active. Keep up the good work!

Kim~ So you are getting a C-section no matter what? My OB just told me that he prefers his twin deliveries to get an epideral if they are going to try a vaginal delivery in case anything should go wrong. He said I could try a natural delivery if I really wanted to and both heads were down but if baby A is breech it's a no go and I'm off for a c-section. At least I know where he stand and why but I really hope I can go natural but it doesn't look likely. Goodluck regardless. All that matters is they get here safely and that they are healthy.

Laura~ Can't wait to hear what the boys have gained. They look so healthy that I'm sure your report back will be cheery and full of great news!

Nothing really new to report here. My girlfriends decided on July 28th for my shower today and so that's exciting. Also, I was getting my teeth cleaned this morning and my Dentist who just had triplets 2.5 years ago offerred us everything they have because they are moving into a new house soon and the kids are now in toddler beds. So we'll get 2 matching cribs, 2 high chairs, and loads of other stuff this weekend. I was so thrilled. His wife is a neat freak and everything is in mint condition so that makes it even better! I was going to but these antique iron cribs the other day but even if these aren't exactly what I was looking for, it's such a sweet gift that I can't refuse. I'm so happy to save where ever I can so I can feel less guilty about no income for a while.

Hope everyone is having a great evening and I hope I didn't forget too many people. Take care and send hugs to those babies!

Hey Kholtan

That is great - that will save you some dollars! That was a very nice gesture on their part - did you know them well?

I am studying Assessment and Measurement - third year psyc subject. I did reasonably well on my assignement - just missed out on a distinction :(. BUT I am so distracted - I am finding it very hard to focus on my studies. Not too sure how I will go on the exam......

Can,t wait until the 5th July - all will be over :)

Hey Di~

Good luck with that test. Sounds like a subject that would have me confused from the start being that I was an art student! I know they say we are all pretty scatterbrained when pg. Let us know how it goes!

I'm actually really great friends with two of the girls in my dentist office and I'm more friends with my dentist than his wife. She's a sweet gal but can't handle the three of them without help so it's hard to get to know her unless her husbands with her. They figured it was easier to give it all away than deal with e-bay or a garage sale since the babies are always at their side. Plus, I think my dentist feels good about giving it to another IVF person who he's also friends with. Dh is thrilled and really likes them as well so we just feel plain old lucky today!

I'll be counting down for you! Take care!

Hi gals!

Di--It's good to hear from you. I'm glad you're doing well and that you have a date. I'm going to follow your advice about getting up as soon as possible after the c-section. I appreciate the info! Good luck studying for your exam. I can't even IMAGINE trying to study right now! :? July 5th sounds like a good date! My 40 week due date is July 6th (not that we'll make it)....if your babes were in America, they'd be called "firecracker babies" for the 4th of July! You only have a little over a month to go. Yeah!

Kimberly---That is SO INCREDIBLY NICE of your dentist! Wow! You are really saving that way! Plus, it's nice to have matching stuff. You'll have to send something nice your dentist's way....candy or cookies??? ha ha! (Definitely send something that causes cavities, ha! ) I hope you can find a place to put all that stuff....does he happen to have any generous dentist friends in Ohio? As for my c-section, it's pretty definite, since Baby B is breech. Not much chance of it turning around now. I'm really bummed about it as I would prefer a vaginal delivery, but I'll do what the doc says.

Em--I'm glad you're able to sleep better now that you have a "date". You make me laugh! I am usually SUCH a type A control freak as well, but this pregnancy has chilled me out a lot. I'm not too worried about a date; in fact, I'd prefer not to set a date and just let them come when they're ready. But, the doc says he wants to set a date at 37 or 38 weeks, and then try to get as close as possible to it. I have to wonder if my anal tendencies will come back full force once these babies are here? Or, will I still stay fairly mellow? Who knows....

I had another NST today, and all went well. So, we have at least 3 days without a baby hatching! I go for my last U/S on Monday. I can't wait to see how big these bubs are! I'm aiming for 5 pounds each. We'll see if we make it!

Oh, I had a massage and pedicure today.....oh HEAVEN!!!!!!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Have a great night gals!

Hi guys,

Di - I hope you make it past your exam....I am so amazed that you have the discipline to study right now!

Kim - i had a pedi a couple of weeks ago and now am addicted....would have one every week if I could afford it! One of mine has hit the 5 pound mark, so yours should be almost there! I'm actually worried that some of the 00000 clothes I bought are going to be too small now, I didn't think they would get so big!

Kimberley - That's so lovely of your dentist to give you all his stuff! When we first got pregnant, I wanted all new stuff and then once we knew it was twins and reality set in about one income, etc, I am now grateful for all the stuff we've been given. Its funny about the IVF network isn't it? I feel a special bond with people who have been through it , even strangers on TV!

Can everyone say a small prayer for an old friend of mine? I haven't seen her since I left school and our lives went in different directions but my Dad had a drink with her Dad the other night and he said that she had just miscarried twins at 12 weeks after many goes at IVF. I probably won't be seeing her but I can't get her out of my head and I knew that if anyone would understand it would be you guys. Perhaps a little annoymous prayer would help her and her family.

Happy Saturday,

Em

Every time I log in, I wonder if someone will have delivered. Many of you are getting really close!

The boys had their pediatrician visit and they are doing really well. Jeremy weighed 5 lbs 9 oz, which means he gained 1 lb in the week since he came home from the hospital! Nicholas weighed 4 lbs 10 oz, so he gained 12 oz in the week and a half since he came home. I am hoping he will start to catch up to his big brother soon.

DH and I went out for dinner last night while my mom watched the boys. It was nice to have some alone time together. It was really hard to find something to wear. I can button my regular pants but then a roll of loose skin hangs over the waistband. Not an attractive look! But my maternity clothes are way too big.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Hi all

Yes, studying for an exam whilst waiting for the birth of your babies is not something that I would recommend everyone rush out to do :D I am soooo distracted - this subject also has some statistics and formulas that I will have to remember for the exam  Really do not know how I will go..... Hey, I had two subjects and dropped one at the last minute - I must have had a premonition that things were going to be difficult and I was not wrong!

How are you going Lauralou? Are those boys keeping you on your toes - or maybe you should not answer that question.........

Buckeyegal - are you still hanging in there :D

Em - I can't choose who will deliver first - you or Buckeyegal! Or maybe it will be ME

Macca - how are you travelling?

Pacquita - are you still checking in - how things?

Hi to anyone I have missed - hope things are going well :D

Cheers Di
